  2. Reading the faq, have to say space wolves got junk punched. The rune priest lost everything that makes it cool, now its just a librarian with a axe. Only reason to play them is for the extra hq slots in a deathstar. Have to say I am liking alot of the rules clean up on vehicle damage, makes playing iron hands all that much funner. All in all everything I seen looked good, with the exception of taking away the uniqueness of so many marine chapters. Templars, wolves and blood vamp all just got rolled up into space marines.
  3. I think ork bikers will be awesome, I just hope they get a rule like hit and run, smashing a unit like a hammer over and over is just a ork thing to do.
  4. I run my iron clad with a hammer, scratch built and will not change it. That sead the chain fist is a better weapon. Only with you loose is the concuss rule, and you gain armour bane. I am not sold on grave guns, there awesome vs marines, but orks eldar tau all just dont care. Also if you move your shot count drops a bunch. With short range you will have to reposition unless your drop pod hits right where you need it. On your chapter master artificer armour is worth the points and I would run a hammer or power fist. Chain and armour make you survive tell your attack and the ap and damage is better, also you get some points back by dropping the melta bombs. Combi grav really only works in terminator armour for the relentless rule. My 2 cents TW Haines
  5. Well for me it comes down to.....I have gray hair and like paper books. Working on getting all my street cred as a grumpy ol man...........Hay kids get off my lawn. Have fun everyone cant wait for the books to be in stores. (So old I dont use the internet to buy stuff). TW_Haines
  6. I'm thrilled about the new rules. 2 years between rule changes is ruff, but most people dont hold a smart phone that long or a gaming console. Think about how much bouncing from one console to the next gen costs a person, shelving your games and starting over. I will still be able to use all or most of my models. Now my army is not a comp army, so I dont need the biggest shiny out there to play. That makes the game much cheaper for me, and I got lucky, land raiders got a bump with the new rules. My army is space marines without allies making me a weak comp player, but every rule with the exception of jink and FMC helped me out. Thanks GW TW Haines
  7. Hope so, then my 2 favourite chapters got a buff iron hands and templars. Thanks for the clarification I just read where is said its harder to defend then to cast. You are right, I am borrowing trouble as the rules for adamantium will have not been released. TW Haines
  8. My sadness is that GW just keep sweeping Black Templar under the rug. With the increased stress on psykers, I dont see the boys in black holding on. I hope I see it wrong. Flip side, Looks like the game is gona be better than ever. Love the new damage chart for tanks. TW Haines
  9. Jayne I'm the same way, only I start the game with the I'm going to beat your hq into the ground with my hq. Maybe I should play orks.
  10. The good news for everyone is that when you create a event all you have to do is say all army's, only unbound army's, or battle forged only. As for how troops and objectives will effect the game against unbound army's, well they are built to table a opponent. Thats why 3 heldrakes backed by a few cultists works cheap troops that may not be there at the end of the game, but your enemy is off the table so who cares. As for me I love the idea, but I play space marines and am big in troops and will be battle forged so cool beans for me. I just feel like the bugs got the dirty end of the stick again with the new powers, but until the rules come out I wont now if im right or not yet. TW Haines

  12. In all honesty 1000 points sounds like a hard list to put together. Every unit needs to work. Sounds hard and fun. I just want to play, you pick the points, I will have fun. TW Haines

  15. I'm not saying that eldar or space marines wont get it, just dont make much sense to me. We fight to keep human space pure and for the glory of the Emperor. Death to chaos and all the corrupt xenos scum.............Now lets summon a bunch of demons to fight with us, that will run smooth with the inquisition. Just not a rule that works with the fluff in my mind.
  16. Will be interesting to see who gets to summons demons. I dont see Eldar farseers getting acsess to that power, or and of the space marines. Do dark eldar have psykers? Could be cool for some demons summonsing from them.
  17. I Have to say, seeing 2 sets of rules 1 for comp/ standard and 1 for just see what we can blow up and giggle about. Thats the best thing GW could have done. As for the magic psychic stuff, I have to say the rules as they are now are just broken, and dont make sense. Demons that dont have to have powers from there god, but the chaos marines do if there marked? Just plain silly. Also it looks like assault may be getting a little bit of a buff, that's good the game should balance shooting and assault. Also the sound of vehicles not getting killed as easy, well I have to say makes my rhinos more effective. Concerned as to what that will do to armour 14 tanks, Having land raiders that already dont get killed. TW Haines

  19. Hay anyone up for a last minute game tonight Thursday or Friday night 2000 points space marines hybrid list. List looks solid a little of everything drop pods mech and troops. Lots of shooting and some assault units too. PS the pods will be mocked as I don't have any but there size and footprint will be correct. thanks TW Haines
  20. has anyone heard if the supplemental codex's will be in with the normal games or will iron hands and emperor fists all play out of the sm codex?
  21. Yes I am mono dex for now. Not ready yet to commit to a second army yet. As for the 2 landraiders and dreads list wouldn't iron hand be a better option? Just a thought.
  22. I understand the hesitation with 7th ed around the corner. I believe not much will change with exception of when and how you get to use non standard army's aka titans, formations and the like. Maybe a nice fix on allies for those crazy lists. I agree that black templar should get a little more love on the cc maybe just the ability to buy a cc weapon for a point and still keep a bolt gun. Ahhh I see Brother Glacius has no vindicators in his army or the sound of KERBOOM!!! would he heard across the game store, love the vindicator. As for kicked in the head I have faced a screamer star, a list with a bug flying circus, and a chaos army of marines with daemons that had a great unclean one a heldrake and nurgel bikers and shrouded plaguebearers behind the aegis line. That is the most competitive lists in town, I believe and also the people I want to play against, as there some cool cats. Trying to fit 2 landraiders a solid smashmouth hq and some anti air in the list, is hard. Lists around here run 1850 or 2000 so it is in scope, I just haven't worked it out yet.
