  1. Hey All: I am trying to get a hold of some Vargheist wings (the larger ones). No online shop around the freakin world that I'm aware of has any in stock. If anyone has a set they would be willing to part with, lemme know and we'll make a deal. Conversely, if anyone has a need for the contents of a Vargheist boxed set that is missing two sets of wings, lets talk because I'll sell you one real cheap (and by cheap I mean real cheap as in if It takes me much longer today's Internet environment to find 4 plastic wings, I'll buy the freakin box and ship the remaining contents to the first person that wants it just for raising their hand) Lemme know....
  2. I just checked out her gallery pages. Lots of really really nice stuff there. Her painting of skin tones and eyes are particularly awesome.
  3. The horse is separate and very nice. It would work very well for your sorceress. I made one recently as a hero using the cold one knight legs and they fit very nicely. I'll bet that glade rider legs would also work well for an unarmored look. The new chariot puller steeds are particularly nice as well. I just finished making a sorceress mounted on one of them. I have seen it done with the supreme sorceress on dragon legs, and I did mine with witch elf legs.
  4. Found it. Some made to be effective, some just for amusement. http://druchii.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=72879
  5. Nathan: Druchii.net has a topic about interesting Assassin builds, with all generally agreeing that they are inefficient. I am with you in that I like the imagery and the idea of the character, so you should play 'em now and then.... I thought I'd find the thread and post a link, but I have failed.....see if you can find it, or lacking that I'll find it when I have more than a minute and post a link here...
  6. ...and you've earned it! Weren't you on a fjord in Finland recently?
  7. I was hoping the thing was this weekend so I could play....as it is, I have to be on the beach in Maui the next two weekends! I'll get to one of them one of these days. Are they every other month, generally?
  8. OK, your terrain stuff is completely awesome! I love the background art and the shot that has the tree in the right fairground obscuring some of the picture. All it needs is a little Rossini: http://forums.kickassclassical.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6
  9. OK, so where is the official source for RoR? As I mentioned, they are printed in the 2002 annual, but is there another more widely available source?
  10. Yep, that worked just fine. Lots of fun stuff to choose from there. I think I have an idea for my OFCC army that should be fun to play and reasonably efficacious. Thanks!
  11. OK, so I made some new girls for the recent Black Sheep tournament. First up was the new must have for any Dark Elf army these days, the Warlocks....or as mine are girls...mounted Slaaneshi witches...or Witchalocks: Here is the unit of six:
  12. Hello OFCC Overlords: So we read that a dogs of war unit can be included as a rare choice for OFCC. Hoorah for that idea! Which DOW are OK to use? Just the basic list or Regiments of Renown as well? The list was reprinted in the 2002 annual which would seem like a handy reference. Please clarify.
  13. Congratulations to Eric on his well deserved victory. The event was a really nicely run tournament so a big thanks to the Black Sheep guys for organizing the thing and doing it so well. Definately a good way to spend a weekend. Speaking for myself...I had such a good vibe hangover from a weekend playing Warhammer, that I got pulled over by a state trooper while driving home (too rapidly, evidently) and the considerate fellow let me off with a warning! Woohoo! I'll definately be back next year and highly recommend this event to any of y'all out there who might be considering it for 2015.
  14. Well, you know what the top painters always say about focal points and drawing the eye to certain parts of the figure.... ...and besides, if you are going to stay up late concentrating intently on something for hours on end, you might as well concentrate on stuff you like :)
  15. This army is rather like a vision that I have been thinking about for an all mounted DE list. It will be cool to see what you do with it.
  16. OK, I'm putting together the last few things for the weekend and I'm really amped! My Dark Elf girls haven't seen the light of day in years and they have some new badass chicks coming along with them for this weekend. Here's a rather hasty tabletop shot of my recent snow and ice project (I.e. stay inside and make lil' figures)....a Slaaneshi Witch (I think most call them warlocks...but mine are girls):
  17. Those are really excellent! Is all the terrain for the event that awesome?
  18. Thanks. That will work just fine. I have received no messages of rebuke, so I guess I am good to go. Now to get down to the business of getting my girls ready for the show. It's freezing rain on top of a foot of snow here in Eugene, which means its prime figure paintin' weather. See y'all in two weeks!
  19. Is there somewhere we can go to verify that our lists have been received and past muster?
  20. OK, I submitted my list in Quartermaster Format which I hope is OK. I back of the enveloped the Swedish system on it and came up with something like a 12. Can you confirm receipt and verify that I didn't make some outrageous error somewhere? Thanks!
  21. Thanks! I have two 2,500 point Empire armies, and about 5,000 or so points in Dark Elves plus an Orc army painted to a similar standard. I'm probably done painting whole armies from here forward (until I figure out how to not have a real job) as it is a daunting project and I'm old and broken down. I'll likely stick to a nice relaxed schedule of painting a new unit or character when I feel like it at the speed that I feel like going. @Swan o' War: Dark Elves for the OFCC are first up for me, but I plan to paint the other Konigsmark girls (a set for me and another as a gift for a friend) so you'll likely see those in different color schemes as well as a mounted BSB sister. Also, my big inner circle White Wolf Knight unit is sorely in need of replacement as the old metal horses they are on are too small and GW's new steeds are very cool. That project will be significant in scope but has excellent possibilities.
  22. Yes, this is definately a cool army. I remember liking it because it was so different from so many DE armies that you see....and (important step that many don't achieve)...it is particularly well executed and consistent. What are you planning to do with your Hydra?
  23. OK...that makes sense. Then I suppose you have to get the bases to match so that you can make new stuff. I can't remember the bases. What is causing the re-creation problem?
