  1. I heard "narrative" and "league" used together in the same sentence. You sir, have my full attention.
  2. I wouldn't go that far. I think it is where tournament players will live or die. I think casual players will make due with a simplified points system just fine. :D
  3. I had a blast, guys! Thanks for showing up! :D
  4. They will most likely have different keywords.
  5. I'm sure you will be. I mean that is one of the major play styles for a major faction. It is sure to get some love.
  6. I am really enjoying this change. Even though I have fielded plenty of formations, I know that a lot of people have been annoyed by them. I think this is going to put a lot of armies on equal footing and is going to be a positive change for the game, and the community. :D
  7. Hey hey! I plan on being there to play some SW:A. Who else is showing up? :D
  8. Hey hey! GW has posted a FAQ for SW:A on the community website. :D
  9. I know these are rules in 7th. Since you know, 8th has not been released yet. :p But it looks like the model will not be going out of production. And since the model is still in production, it will be getting rules in 8th.
  10. Well if every single model is going to get rules in 8th, I guess that would also include Mr. Marbo. Right?
  11. Well, the test is modified by the number of models lost, not by the number of wounds taken. So Multi-Wound models are in a better position to avoid taking tests in the first place.
  12. So I thought that number sounded a little low. After all, I can't think of many units in 40K with a Leadership Value that low. So doing some Google sleuthing, all the tactica articles I can find about Ogryn in 7th Edition list them as Leadership 6, 7 on the Sergeant. But even if they were Leadership 5, the would be screwed worse under the current morale rules. Because after taking 25% casualties (one model), they would be taking a Leadership Test on 2d6 (average roll of 7) against Leadership 5. So they would be running as soon as they take a wound the majority of the time right now. So I don't see how a 4 in 6 chance (assuming Leadership Value of 5 rather than 6) of being totally fine is worse than the current system (where on an average roll, they break and run. And on an average roll they fail to rally).
  13. I don't think so. So if a unit of three Ogryn lose one model they would have to take a test. So that test would be d6+1. Which means if you rolled a 6 you would end up with a 7. So if Ogryn are leadership 6, they would lose a model. If they are leadership 7+ they wouldn't lose anything. I don't know what leadership Ogryn are since I don't play guard, but if they are akin to Orks, the schmoes would have a leadership of 6, and the Sergeant would have a 7. So in your BRUTAL scenario, the unit of Ogryn would have to lose their sergeant as a casualty, and then they have a 1 in 6 chance of losing an additional model. So it's not that bad. I mean right now, you are rolling 2d6 against a leadership of 6 or 7 and risking them running off the board. And we still don't know what effects rules like Stubborn have. And we don't know more things like Commissars, or other HQ units are going to have on the army.
  14. I really like the idea of including a Battle Shock phase into 40K. It will make morale mean something again. However, I think we should hold out for the special rules attached to individual units before worrying about the effect this is going to have on your faction.
  15. until

I plan on being there and bringing my Skitarii Kill Team
  16. If a model with a 3+ Armor Save gets a +1 bonus from Cover, it would then have a 2+ Save. If a model has a 2+ Save but is in cover, than it would receive an additional bonus. This bonus would then be used to offset the rending value of any weapons that wounded it. So if a weapon has a rending value of -1, the Terminator would still keep their 2+ Armor Save while in Cover. But it would be reduced to 3+ if it were out in the open. The statement I was referring to was that the Terminator would have a 2+ no matter what. Which I don't think is true. And while the rules have not been released yet, the information provided has more closely resembled the scenario I just described.
  17. Want to throw down on the mean streets of Armageddon?
  18. I read that article as well. Nowhere in the article does it say that Terminators are a survivable whether or not they are in cover. It only says that cover will provide a bonus to armor saves. I would imagine that this mechanic would also apply to Terminators.
  19. Hey hey! Since a thread hasn't been started, I thought I would make one. I plan on being at WoW after work , around 5:30 ish. I would love to get a game of SW: A that night. So hit me up if you are interested. However, I don't have keys to WoW. So if someone who does would pipe up in the thread as to what time they plan on being there, it would be greatly appreciated. :D
  20. Where is this information coming from? I haven't seen it on the Warhammer Community website.
  21. It is not really "you lose". Units and models will just take some wounds. It isn't anything worse than what is currently in play. I dare say, d3 wounds or d6 wounds if someone rolls really well is actually pumping the brakes on the power creep currently in 40K.
  22. I don't think so. The psychic phase as almost exactly how wizards cast spells in the Hero Phase in AoS. And I am loving it!
  23. Well, the units that fall back can only move. They can't shoot, nor "advance" which is the new term for run. So both shooting and assaulting armies are going to have to be thoughtful to how they engage the enemy.
  24. I am putting this in my calendar! I plan on bringing my Shadow War Kill Team. :D Edit: Actually, according to my Calendar I am booked that night. However, I will put the 18th in right now its stead. :D
