  1. I haven't seen a lot of horde armies being used on the tables. It might be fun to throw people a curveball.
  2. I plan on being there are 6 pm. I will be bringing my Kill Team, and some of the 8th edition rules books if people want to look them over.
  3. Oh. Well.... gosh. Okie dokie. On an unrelated note, I will be bringing Imperial Index 1 & 2 to WoW on Tuesday.
  4. So I picked up the Index book for my Space Marines today. But you mentioned that Dice Age had the books? Do you mean the BRB? They have it in stock?
  5. I can see myself using these pretty often.
  6. Well, we don't know if the box set is going to be limited or not. The local GW guy did point out that the box set is NOT the new starter. According to GW it is the "ultimate 8th edition box set". The difference I can think of would be if they made it limited like the box set for Shadow War.
  7. If you are looking for missions to run on league nights, I would suggest the Altar of War book over the ITC stuff. ITC is geared towards competitive play. And while that isn't a bad thing, I think it is safe to say GG has that scene on lock down. There is no point trying to pry those players from the tables there. However, that does mean if you are a creative sort of person you might be able to entice some players to show up with some more narrative based missions and campaigns. Just a thought.
  8. I am so excited for this weekend. Although three weeks until release is making me a sad panda.
  9. I will be picking up a box set. Would anyone like to trade my Death Guard for their Primaris Marines?
  10. And it also depends on who you ask. For me, the AoS transition wasn't too bad. There were some elements that I was "meh" about, but for the most part, I really enjoyed the changes.
  11. The General's Handbook had points, but it didn't have unit profiles. Maybe the faction books will have both. I don't know.
  12. Dang. It looks like the only update we are going to get today about the new edition is going to be about Forge World stuff. :(
  13. Based on what has been released, I think Kerrigan is right: the free rules will get you playing games using the power point system. If you want "matched play" (points), you are going to need the BRB. Additionally, it looks like the BRB will also include rules for Cities of Death and Stronghold Assault. This leads me to believe that we will also see Planetstrike and Death in the Skies rules in the BRB as well.
  14. How is that any different than buying codexes for the past 20 years?
  15. A starter set, and both Imperium books. yowch.
  16. I plan on being there tonight. I wouldn't mind getting in a SW:A match. :D
  17. I will try and make it this tomorrow. I hope to see you there. :D
  18. I am super stoked. for the past two years my Imperial Knights have been sitting on a shelf collecting dust. But now, they will finally be able to stride upon the field of battle! Huzzah!
  19. I'm liking these changes so far.
  20. This sounds really interesting. I am looking forward to see how this pans out.
  21. I have been super excited by the new edition. However, I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, True Scale Space Marines?(!) That is something I have wanted for quite a while. But on the other hand, Uber Spesh Muhreens?(!) I don't know...... I think I am going to have to mull this one over.
  22. Well, depending on the player and the scenario we would be running, I would allow for unlimited summoning. However, I can see writing the base rules in a way that doesn't allow for it. Otherwise, that guy comes around and ruins it for everyone. I HATE that guy.
  23. You could push the date back. Maybe?
