I am not. AP is calculated for cover. Check the BRB. It also helps that terminators can gain the benefits of cover but their save can not get better than a 2+ after everything. So against AP 0 they have a 2+ save Against AP -1 they get a 2+ save Against AP -2 they get a 3+ save.

It really doesn't matter. If you apply the AP then the cover or apply the cover then the AP it won't matter because it's factored in. Ultimately though to make things simple, Apply AP first then cover. This will allow things like Broadsides to benefit from the cover as they should.

Correct. Doesn't work against melee and anything with decent ap will ruin them

Mass fire from the High Yield Missle Pods and Smart Missiles with the AP adding support is a great load out as well. 16 shots is crazy. If you put your marker light on the target the reroll to 1's is huge.

Thanks! The Smash Captain is great against High Toughness models and will wreck things like my Deff Dredds, flyers, etc. Against swarms like a 30 man squad of boyz, he will fold and doesn't want to be there. He gets to fly away though so it's not horrible

Ah, standard deployment rules. Perfect as infiltration happens after deployment @Kelharis, had to check that but I am 99% sure infiltration happens after the deployment phase or at the end of it

That's good. This way I can play what level people feel comfortable on lists and not feel bad for blow outs and have more challenges

@Dark Trainer how locked into lists are we? If I wanted to bring 3 lists a week and giving people the choice of how difficult a game they want, is that allowed? Yes, I understand someone could take advantage and aim for a blowout but thankfully, 40k allows for enough variety and orks are flexible enough I can build interesting lists so I should have some chance... Some.

So with @Dark Trainer playing the GM style "feed me and you get stuff" (I kid, this is something I wanted to do actually due to listening to Best in Faction and Mitch's style. As someone who can get intense on games, hates themselves for mistakes and such, I want to try and rebalance my game play and social interaction with gaming (even slightly competitively) so I will try to brings snacks each week. (points help but I want to become more well rounded as a player) Since some people have interesting dietary requirements, I will be bringing some things like water, snack bars, etc but hearing what sort of snacks people want will help me in my purchases. What would you like to see (inside reason please, I am not rich by any means) Thoughts?

Important info: I will have 2-3 lists with me each game day. I will be asking each opponent what sort of list difficulty they want to play. Now I am no expert or competitive genius but there are known types of lists and tactics that in orks are stronger. As I play more with them I will learn more but I know some. Due to this, my easier lists will have less of these, my harder lists will have more. This also changes based on the factions others brings. If someone is bringing Smash Captains and a Castellon, we'll, I may have only a few lists for them to choose as they will try to compliment and challenge With the Escalation League only days away at this point (and @Dark Trainer encouraging Weekly updates... Heh... Weekly... He is funny) I figured I would use this to document my force building and progress. Pictures will come when I figure a good place to host them. So far it's the Sunday before and it's a WOW night! So for my first time ever I am headed down. Bringing only orks... Ok, maybe I will bring a Titan or two for people to go "oooohhhh" and "ahhhh" though my painting isn't that great. Got 4 lists to test out and most definitely nothing is fully painted... Yet. Though I have characters that are near and some Meganobz that are close for those unit points. From the time of this post I have 3 hours to paint. Oh boy. Still, built my dakkajet last night (want to test that tonight), got to see how the krylon and rustolem primer and paint did for my basic painting (never used it so many bad feelings are here) Lists to test today... 40 Dakka Boyz (Shoota Boyz), Dakkajet, Dragsta and dual Kustom Mega-Blasta Dredd, my trukk pounding meganobz and friends. So 2 blue and 2 yellow lists... Wonder if I can make an evil sunz elite.... Hmmmm

It's my favorite Maniple. It's good at getting in and duking it out and a squadron of warhounds for the plus strength attacks.
