  1. In Age of Sigmar trees hug you!
  2. Wow that's a crazy colorful pic. It's like the tie-dye themed army.
  3. Like Threejacks said, the best way to get around it is to play comped games, or you can also play narrative scenarios. The Generals Handbook that's about to come out will also probably throw out the sudden death victory conditions for matched play. Another thing you can do is not play with that guy again haha. It's just easier to not play with people who use unsportsmanlike tactics just to win.
  4. I too am very excited! I'm up in Bellingham and maybe just maybe I can get a Hamster to try out AOS again.
  5. Do we have any clues yet as to when this thing is actually going to drop and when we can preorder?
  6. Very impressive! Love the Revenants and Archer Dryads haha. Can't wait! Makes me want to give a Sylvaneth army a go.
  7. Yeah if they tried to manipulate things too much it would just be a huge layer of complexity that would set us back a bit. Excited!!
  8. Thanks for the post. Very interesting information . Looks like some pretty decent guidelines for matched play. Glad they did something about summoning, but this seems a bit overkill maybe? Anxious to see how it plays out. Also curious about these artifacts and traits, first I'm hearing about that.
  9. I don't know all the details, but Briton is going through their own sort of Clown anger against the establishment thing. Most Britons think that the EU has been holding the UK back and causing more problems than its worth basically.
  10. Yeah that's a pretty way to deal with summoning I guess. Anxious to see how it plays out and what people think of it. Oh and by the way and off topic. Briton just exited from the EU and the pound dropped 10% against the dollar. If there was a good time to buy a Forgeworld model, this is it!
  11. Yeah I'm kinda in the same place. We also have the summer campaign coming up real fast though. I will probably just stick with what I have, pound out a few games with my tiny Stormcast army for the campaign then make plans for expansion once the handbook is out.
  12. Wow! This looks extremely cool. I love modular terrain and it looks like you have a good concept here. Keep it up and keep posting pics!
  13. I love your color scheme and good job on the conversion!
  14. Agree with Malakithe! The whole spirit of AoS has been enjoyment and fun, if something just makes it a pain we shouldn't do it.
  15. Yeah and I was thinking about Lion Rangers. Here let me just make a 2k point list with these two unit choices... Boom. Done. Heros? Who needs them.
  16. Definitely. I feel like they wouldn't do that though. It would make some almost unplayable, or at least rather boring.
  17. Hmmmm, well I'm not sure how I feel about this. Would definitely be interesting to see how it plays out. Glad they are maintaining the "three ways to play" thing though because if this is the case I am not going to want to play matched play all the time haha.
  18. I was going to ask you how those deathrunners have been working out for you. Three pairs in one battle would be pretty fun haha
  19. They did? I need to keep up on their Facebook again I guess. Every time I've looked it never says anything of interest so I stopped looking lol.
  20. Have they officially released that FAQ? I didn't see it on the errata section of the GW website. Glad to hear it though!
  21. That's a pretty terrifying list!! Good luck. Maybe our forces will clash on the table some day. I personally think the Verminlord Deceiver is a great choice. Skitterleap is very powerful and since you have a lot of power and magic already, using him as an assassin could be crazy effective.
  22. I'm using "ward saves" for lack of a better term. Basically the extra save rolls that may occur when a unit suffers a wound. For example, the Luminark of Hysh's aura of protection which deflects a wound on a 6 after the normal failed save roll. My question: Is there any reason why such "ward saves" could not stack? For example, a unit is within range of a Luminark's Aura of Protection, but has also had a Jade Battlemage's Lifesurge spell cast on it. So they have 2 ward save rolls of a 6. I'm thinking that, since different abilities generate these saves, you would simply roll one then roll the other for any that weren't saved on the first roll. Thoughts? Am I missing anything that would prevent this? Thanks.
  23. This looks like a very fun list to play with and against! It does look pretty good, Nurgle has a lot of synergy. Some things to consider. Keep in mind I'm not super experienced and don't play Nurgle, so take what's valuable and trash the rest. There is not a huge amount of mobility. The Gorebeast Chariot and Plague Drones are your fast units, but both only have a movement of 8". I don't think there are a ton of choices for Nurgle in terms of speed, but just something to keep in mind. Also, your Plague Drones will benefit greatly from being close to your Herald with their Locus of Contagion ability, but they will probably outpace him a bit. The Glottkin doesn't have the "Plaguebearer" keyword so he won't give them that ability. The Plague Drones are doing double time as your mobile units and elite troops. Are you going to run them as one large unit or multiple smaller units? possibly consider running them as 2-3 smaller units to get them into combats across the board. You are right, the Gorebeast chariot is a good chariot for AOS, most aren't spectacular. However, its main benefits come from charging (as with most chariots), but because of the roll for initiative happening each turn, you can't really guarantee you will be the one charging. Consider increasing the number of Plaguebearers. At 20 or more models their Cloud of Flies ability gets significantly better. Starting at 20 models means this benefit will probably only last turn 1. You don't have a huge model count, which is fine. But objective games which require certain amounts of models to be in an area could prove difficult. If you are going by SCGT standards, then 2/3rds of your army is concentrated in 10 models: the Glottkin and the Drones. The rest of your models are rather slow. However, AoS is definitely about having fun. Bring whatever you want! This definitely looks like a fun list to play against, I would love to see it in action.
  24. You can find a lot of battle reports on Youtube of people using this system. It does work out very well. Ironically enough the "underdog" has some huge advantages, so bringing just an army of monsters and heros is not really all that intelligent. Which is what Threejacks is saying. Plus keep in mind that if someone brings something so overpowered and unfun, people aren't going to want to play with them anymore haha. That's also a pretty good balancing factor!
