  1. I don't have any real love of Orks, but its still nice to see new releases haha.
  2. "Bonesplitterz Battletome coming next, confirmed in White Dwarf #129 "It's a bumper week this week as the Bonesplitterz get their own battletome stuffed with art, stories and a huge wealth of cracking new rules. The wildest of the Orruks found in the Mortal Realms, the Bonesplitterz are constantly in tune with the rolling, violent madness of the Waaagh! Believing the energy of the Waaagh! to reside in the souls of monsters, they hunt great beasts across the realms." http://www.the-stronghold.com/index.php?%2Ftopic%2F29151-bonesplitterz-battletome-next-confirmed-in-wd-129%2F"
  3. Yeah I'm not using it yet. Too much of a mess. WHFB names. Sylvaneth are labeled as Wood Elves haha.
  4. That could help bridge the North/South gap too
  5. I plan on playing a combination of open and matched play! They both have their place.
  6. There are a lot of people that play at MOB games in Lake Stevens. There could be other places in Seattle, but I'm not really aware of them at this point. The group's Facebook page is Northwest Age of Sigmar. I'd say around 15 show up for a normal AoS Sunday.
  7. Yeah that would be pretty cool. There are quite a few people up here playing so we could do like a northern front/southern front of the league or something. Could be cool or a logistical nightmare. haha either one.
  8. Okay utilizing the Warrior Brotherhood. It definitely seems like a great battalion. To make it a 2k point list I added a Venator and a unit of Protectors. The Venator can stay a long ways from the action and deal lots of damage and the Protectors will be called into action by the Knight-Vexillor. Lord-Celestant on Dracoth - 220, Leader Knight-Vexillor - 200, Leader 3 x Prosecutors with Celestial Hammers - 100 5 x Retributors - 220 5 x Retributors - 220 5 x Liberators - 100, Battleline 5 x Liberators - 100, Battleline 5 x Liberators - 100, Battleline 5 x Judicators - 160, Battleline 5 x Judicators - 160, Battleline Warrior Brotherhood - 140, Battalion Knight-Venator - 120, Leader 5 x Protectors - 200 Total: 2040 (its not possible to fit it into 1k points) The bravery bonus will help when the Lord-Celestant dies or for units that have to be placed a distance away. The To wound bonus (1 rerolls) is always helpful. Keeping each unit within 8' of TWO other units may be challenge. Will probably be able to a semi-circle around the enemy force, probably not a full encircling. I like this whole list building thing. Starting from a battalion and working out really works well.
  9. Yeah I'm saving a couple models to paint just so I can get the points during the campaign haha I might be there this Sunday haha, but I don't think Trent would give us the points yet
  10. You can play games whenever you want if you have a partner, it doesn't HAVE to be in a game store, you only report there. Progress is checked by how many warscrolls you paint and how many games you play. I guess that means people could lie, but whats the fun in that haha. Basically I think the alliance that wins is the one that gets painted and used the most.
  11. Wow yeah 4 weeks is not very long haha. Better make sure to get those games in! For those up north, MOB is participating and has an event scheduled for the 17th. The group is very active and it looks like a lot of people will be there.
  12. Ok I will have to take a look at that one when I get a chance. Thanks!
  13. That's more or less what I did here. I started with the Hammerstrike Force and built on. There can definitely be more deep-striking with different battalions. Is the Warrior Brotherhood the one with just Liberators and Judicators?
  14. Yeah I'm working on one, but it probably won't have the Extremis in it at first pass. I wanted to see what I could fit into 2.5k.
  15. Once the charge is over the Concussors are more damage producing and can stun whole units preventing them from piling in. I don't see any benefit to taking more Fulminators, If anything I think I would trade them out for Concussors. Unless of course I was taking a Heraldor, then I would possible take one big group of 4 Fulminators.
  16. 2.5k List Extremis Version Wanted to see if I could fit in the Lord-Celestant on Stardrake and a few Dracothian Guard to take advantage of his Command Ability. I still wanted to keep the spirit of what I did before, but it definitely has a little less flexibility in terms of deep strikes and multiple paladin types. I like it though. Lord-Celestant on Stardrake - 600, Leader, Behemoth Knight-Vexillor - 200, Leader (Pennant of the Stormbringer) 2 x Fulminators - 240 2 x Concussors - 280 5 x Liberators - 100, Battleline 5 x Liberators - 100, Battleline 5 x Judicators - 160, Battleline 5 x Judicators - 160, Battleline 5 x Retributors - 220 5 x Retributors - 220 3 x Prosecutors with Celestial Hammers - 100 Hammerstrike Force - 120, Battalion The Stardrake and his squad of Guard would be front and center with flanks protected by the battleline units. Vexillor would deep strike the Prosecutors which would deep strike the Retributors in the same turn to clear out nasty targets or strike vulnerable enemy flanks. Fulminators are definitely my favorite of the Guard haha, but the rely on the charge whereas Concussors always crush.
  17. Also, I use a Google doc calculator and it states the requirements at the different pt levels as these: 1000 Points: L: 1-4 BL: 2+ A:0-2 B: 0-2, 2500 Points: L: 1-6 BL: 3+ A:0-4 B: 0-4, 4000 Points: L: 1-8 BL: 4+ A:0-5 B: 0-5 l've seen a lot of different point levels, but this is what I've been going on since this tool has had a lot of community input. If this is true then you wouldn't need a 4th battleline at 2.5k. I'd definitely confirm with an actual book though. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/116pJQjH73xUdeQHjUyp3l802HcCbiiL3mDeQsWowjsk/edit#gid=0 You'll need to save a copy for yourself to use it, but its very helpful.
  18. Could take a unit of Judicators in lieu of an additional Venator or Azyos'. Would meet your BL unit count and bring you up to 2480 pts.
  19. Harbinger Chamber + Celestant on foot + Azyros + Venator + Prime = 2320, so you could add another Venator for 2420 or two more Azyros for 2520 and fit it into a 2.5k. Remember when calculating you have to pay for each Vanguard Wing and the Harbinger Chamber battalions, 440 pts for those 4 battalions.
  20. I think you are referring to the Hammerstrike Force, and its 1 unit of Prosecutors and 2 units of Retributors. The Retributors start off-table and can deep strike within 6" of the Prosecutors and get a to wound bonus when they do. It's very good and pretty cheap. As for the winged army theme. I think it is a really good idea. Creating the Harbinger Chamber by itself costs 1640 points so fitting in the 5 venators plus other heroes that Threejacks mentioned will definitely require a 2.5k point list, Stardrake probably more. Would definitely be a fun army to play! Although I definitely agree that close combat with Prosecutors is a challenge. There wings are a pretty big burden both preventing them from getting a lot of models in combat, but also creating a lot of surface area for enemy models to pile in on. I personally have not used a Knight-Venator or Azyros, but I can say that they can both be good. The Azyros is bound to be more consistent since his ability dishes out guaranteed mortal wounds AND he will give an added bonus for all of your Prosecutors ranged attacks (if they don't have paired celestial hammers already). Having 5 of those guys on the front line could annihilate enemy units before close combat even starts. The Venator has crazy good range which makes for a good standard ranged attack, but his Star-fated arrow is only a 56% chance of landing before the enemies save roll. He doesn't give any perks to allies either.
  21. Oh I was hoping my internet was just pooping out haha. Bummer.
  22. It would be pretty easy to hack out the Relictor, Castellent, Venator, and a Vexillor to make room for the Templar. That could work. It would make for a different army without much in the way of support heroes, but hopefully the mortal wound output and the presence of a big dragon on the board would make up for it. One Vexillor will reduce flexibility, but that could be just fine. The Stardrakes standard attacks don't really seem all that great. It's mortal wound output is what makes it good.
  23. I think I'll work on an alt list with a Stardrake and see what I come up with.
  24. I started a list with the Stardrake in it originally, but at 2500 I found it tough to get the Stardrake and Dracoth riders in while still doing what I wanted to do with this force. I'd probably develop a different list for the Stardrake. The problem with the Lord-Celestant on Stardrake is that he works well with the rest of the Extremis, but not really the regular Stormcast. The Dracoth riding celestant's no battleshock ability is extremely good in this force which includes a lot of units of 5. I could possibly take a Drakesworn Templar and keep the dracoth riding lord celestant as the general, but at that point its essentially a different army. The Protectors are there to handle monsters, although I was thinking of dropping a Vexillor, increasing the Protectors to a unit of 10, and making the Vexillor's only responsibility getting the Protectors into nasty monster's faces. Or dropping the Relictor and Venator for the 5 extra Protectors, they aren't essential anyway. Not sure. The point of this 2.5k force is to hit hard and fast with deep strikes, hopefully knocking out particularly big nasty targets before they get a chance to do too much in the game.
