  1. I'll be there tonight. Will bring a newly built Bloodbowl team to try out or I also have a new boardgame, Roll Player, which I'm happy to open up and try. A game about making role player characters? You bet!
  2. I'd be up for this but I'm waiting to double check my schedule for next month.
  3. First game was against @ninefinger's franco-merican Orlocks. While the Blackout Boyz started out well, taking the high ground and setting up smokescreen, things quickly turned as their leader Hellboi was mercilessly gunned down. The Boyz regrouped from this startling violence and managed to isolate and pin the frenchies down long enough to force them into a strategic withdrawal. Great game.
  4. I'll come down this afternoon to get a game in. I have to leave earlier so that works for me.
  5. The Blackout Boyz https://yaktribe.games/underhive/gang/the_blackout_boyz.10329/ Deep down in the bowels of the hive, darkness reigns. The scum move swiftly through the flickering fluorescent lights, cowering in the shadows like roaches. This is where we live. This is where we thrive. The darkness is our ally for we see without the light. The shadows won't hide you from us for we are the shadow. Card choices: Not entirely sure but I'm going to try using the Escher set until Delaque gangs have their own. Counter Charge Gas Trap Stealthy Advance Melta trap Frag trap Click Lucky find Group tactics Blood Debt Last Gasp Makeshift Armour Hoping to bring these guys on 5/8 game night to try out new rules.
  6. those are pretty great
  7. I'm down with my Delaques. I also may be acquiring a fantastic terrain set from my brother, more to come on that.
  8. If anyone wants to play a game Tuesday night then let me know and I'll bring my rebels. Not sure if I'll have time to build the imperials by then but will try.
  9. Got to play my second game of Legion today. Tried out a few new units and upgrades. The rebels air speeder is very fast, durable and expensive. while rebel troopers are great and cheap. Still learning tactics as well which thankfully are more than just run forward and shoot. This game revolves around cover. Today's game was terrain sparse and I think this will do better with denser boards with height changes. Looking forward to more.
  10. See you there @ninefinger. FYI, my new models still need paint. Shame, shame, shame
  11. Right there with you on starting another game. I got a good demo game in today and though I'm sure we got a few things wrong, I am optimistic about the gameplay. There were definitely some cool cinematic moments and some tactics for target priority even in a small demo. With more terrain, objectives, and more units, I think it will have some good depth while playing quickly.
  12. Awesome! Are you planning to go to any in particular. We could meet up if so. Was able to build all of my rebels last night and tossed in some rando aliens to the force. Should have 4 squads and Luke able to play this weekend.
  13. Well I caved and got a starter box. Happy Star Wars for me!
  14. I'm torn if I should buy into this game. Hard to tell if it will have traction locally.
  15. I'm hoping to get a board game in. If @Vraeden is going to bring Rising Sun then I'm down to play that. I also have a bunch of board games if you all want to try something new.
  16. Team: Ogres, 09R3 Yes I do have the models but I need to paint them. My team is entered in Ordo Bowl Yes, I have joined Blood Bowl PDX and I have liked Ordo Bowl My team is redraft and renamed from 2nd season.
  17. So much for game night, I lay down for a minute and wake up 3 hours later.
  18. I'm in for a board game or if full then I'll bring my BB team as well.
  19. No worries. I am sure I got a few things wrong as well. Happy to get some more games in soon and I'm writing up my possible trades now.
  20. My wife and I also play co-op often. Flashpoint, Hotshots, Pandemic, Forbidden Desert all are great. I also like Elder Sign quite a bit for a smaller/faster version of Arkham Horror (which is awesome if you like big games).
  21. Awesome to hear! The projects I've worked on KS we always try to do a couple of things; Showing off the artwork is key to grab attention, For a comic, I would make sure to have a few pages available for viewers to read and look at. Be very clear in your intentions. Tell people what the money is used for and what you hope this will do for you. Along with the above, be active in discussions and respond to questions. Try to avoid any possible arguments backers may pose in comments section, acknowledge and say you will consider (even if you wont at all). I'm sure this is all common sense but sometimes its good to get back to basics. Lastly, be sure to promote in forums and other places you frequent BEFORE and DURING your campaign. Before is really important to get a solid start of backers. Best of luck and please post here when you do launch. Cheers
  22. I've not seen any issues with modelling unless it causes placement problems (like leaning far to oneside). Most people don't care since the model is never used for anything other than looks. If you want anymore friendly games I'd be up for some xwing since I haven't played recently.
  23. I might be able to do that. I'll look at the books and see if I can piece something together.
