  1. I guess the other way to read it is that it improves ALL saves by 1. I really should stop trying to make conclusions based on incomplete data.
  2. no more 3+ invulnerable for storm shield? 4++ and +1 to normal save, it seems. I like it.
  3. I mistakenly assumed it would include the new units, but it is probably a list that includes changes only. I forgot how GW tries their hardest to prevent all info from being in 1 easy to read location. EDIT: current exchange rates + the usual 33% cost increase for US would probably result in $200 price for the Indomitus box
  4. probably a replacement for old artillery vehicles. They would remain stationary most of the time anyway.
  5. doesn't look like the final draft. I doubt it is close to accurate.
  6. I just hope they don't sell out instantly. My army could use all of the Marine units.
  7. Looks like games will have a fixed length of 5 turns. I think they are encouraging faster games for organized events. It does have the drawback of making "concealed position" marine stuff more powerful than ever. Cover the board before the game starts and it is an uphill battle for other armies to reach objectives.
  8. I will be trying to pre-prder a box. I am collecting the marine half. I will trade the necron half for a marine half if I am able to get a box.
  9. Shooting 1 target they will get lots of value, but splitting fire is probably not cost effective. I could see it.
  10. I am optimistic that they will be like suppressors and eliminators. Good units with severely restricted unit size.
  11. People going nuts over Eradicators, but they have a max squad size of 3. Deepstrike a squad of 10 rapid fire Hellblasters and do way more damage with the bonus of targeting multiple units. So much knee-jerk reacting.
  12. I hope Assault Intercessors can take a thunder hammer on the sergeant. Then I would definitely run at least 1 squad with Adrax.
  13. 6 aggressors should still be fine. When 1 is removed it should follow the rules of a 5 model unit. I already stack them in a line of 4 in front with 2 in the rear.
  14. Yes, fast attack would make a lot more sense for them. They parachute in, hit, batman grappling hook out.
  15. I know this is a niche option, but Salamanders can exchange a Reiver sergeant's combat knife with a Drakeblade relic. Str user, AP -4, damage 2, unmodified wound rolls of 6 deal an additional mortal wound. Gives them some much needed anti-armor. EDIT: It is special-issue wargear. Successor chapters can use it, too.
  16. I suspect a typical formation of: long range fire support holding the nearest objective to the deployment zone, mid range fire with some close combat to fight for the middle, and deepstrike/fast attack for hitting the far side.
  17. I somewhat regret not starting 40k with a daemon army that could transfer at least some of the units to AoS. Maybe I will start collecting a Khorney army.
  18. Maybe i should change my Salamander army into a -8 leadership blob. Although, It will probably be difficult getting 3 reiver squads within 3" of multiple units while being supported with a librarian and ancient with larger auras.
  19. makes sense, they are pretty damn OP
  20. I really should get some Invictor war suits for my Salamanders. Starting the game with control of the board seems pretty powerful in objective based missions.
  21. I am a first timer that will be arriving at 4 to play 40k against Inquisitor66. Got my mask and gloves ready.
  22. The new rules making close combat more effective and limiting overwatch will probably just push space marines further into going all in on aggressors and centurions. A few units with a billion shots and strong punches that mitigate the weaknesses and amplify the strengths.
  23. very beautiful angel boys keep it up!
  24. They probably want to encourage enough physical sales to make it worth the effort of printing and shipping them.
