Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
Read the rulebook. Learn the tabletop rules helps. Then turn on die view so you can get a feel. Since you have that tabletop background it makes the understanding easier. Welcome hope to see you on the real table pitch one day
sbr
Just started Blood Bowl 2. What are some helpful hints for a starter/complete noob? What are nessesities? Completely new to Blood Bowl in general? pdf of the current rulebook. Learn it, love it: http://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/CRP1.pdf pdf of the changes Cyanide made to the above Rulebook for BB2: http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/files/RulebookBB2.pdf An article I like and one that every coach, even the most experienced, should read occasionally: https://fumbbl.com/help:The+Taoch!+of+Blood+Bowl%3A+A+Condensed+Guide+for+Newbies Then play some games with some different teams to see what style fits how you like to play. I would recommend trying to focus on Bash (Orc/Dwarf) or Agility (Elf/Skaven) and try to get very good at one style or the other, though there are some Hybrid teams (Human/Lizards). These are jack of all, master of none types teams, but I prefer them myself. I would also say to find yourself some sort of private or moderated league somewhere because the Cyanide run open league is pretty crap imo, though I don't play there so maybe it has changed (not likely). http://bbtactics.com/ has some very good articles on Teams, Skills, Players, and 1000TV starting rosters that are very good, though some might be a bit outdated these days. They also have forums for more specific questions, and host some BB2 leagues. There are 2 open matchmaking leagues and 2 scheduled format leagues (both of which will start a new season in 3-4 weeks). The fumbbl.com Forums and Help section has some good stuff as well.
generalripphook
Thank you so much! I have a lot to read that's good! I already am in a League (starting Monday) so I thought I'd better get my butt in gear.

savion47
Nice. I already have the game, but not the Lizards or Wood Elves. I was in the same boat, so I grabbed those for under $
michaels
Undead just dropped recently & are superb looking. Necro are slated to release next but I'm not such a huge fan of the models. The golems in particular. They look like the bb1 golems. Meh.
Andrewgeddon
Looks like all the Blood Bowl games are 70-75% off right now on Steam, through the 12th. Hoping to find myself some sort of online league to join and get in some more BB2 in the future, since life isn't cooperating right now with playing it tabletop. Necro team dropped as well the last couple of days, looks pretty good IMO!

Andrewgeddon
I admin an online league if you're looking for one. http://iron-phoenix.freeforums.net We're just wrapping up a season so new one should start soon. Thank you sir! I signed up for the forum and checked it out. Question, how does the Tin league interact with the Bronze league for BB2? It looks like I need to play in Tin before I can move to Bronze, but Tin seems to be for not just BB2? Also, I think I missed you by 5 mins on Steam, heh. Also, I think I missed you by 5 mins on Steam, heh. Those are the bb1 leagues. Bb2 has copper league for only new teams. Then you move to silver if you want which is for up to tv1700. 1701+ is gold league. Basically pick a team, post your team name/coach name/time zone in the copper sign up here: http://iron-phoenix.freeforums.net/thread/3003/copper-season-sign & get ready for kickoff.
