AgentP Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 After three games with my tyranids now, I think I have some idea for a list I'd like to try over the course a few games and see if it holds. Here is what I'm thinking, comments are welcome: Hive Tyrant, 2x TL Devourer w/ worms, wings Hive Tyrant, 2x TL Devourer w/ worms, wings 1 venomthrope 1 venomthrope 3 Warriors - 1/w barbed strangler 3 Warriors - 1/w barbed strangler 10 Termagaunts 1 Hive crone 1 Hive Crone 2 Carnifexes w/ TL Devourer w/ worms 2 Carnifexes w/ TL Devourer w/ worms 2 Carnifexes w/ TL Devourer w/ worms My thoughts around this are the warriors camp back field objectives and provide rear board synapse. The tyrants and the crones rush forward providing early pressure and front field synapse. The dakkafexes advance forward shooting for turns 1-2 with potential assault beginning turn 3-4. Quote
PumpkinHead Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 I like it. I am a fan of warriors in the back field. Quote
WestRider Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 Looks solid. Pretty good sledgehammer variation on the basic Nid template. Maybe look into the BioBlast Node if Formations are commonly allowed where you play. You've got everything for it in there already, and can pull it out of the FOC without causing issues, since you've got a third Troops choice. Quote
AgentP Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 Ooh, hey, good call on the bioblast node. I didn't notice that I met those requirements. Quote
CaptainA Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 If you are doing this, I think you could run the latest Tyranid dataslate that would give your carni's split fire. Quote
DisruptiveConduct Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 A little light on scoring but tyranids need to kill stuff right? I like it. The carnis have two sets of devourers, correct? Quote
