deadwing34
I kickstarted this thing, the game, artwork and mini's look incredible. They are already hitting a bunch of the stretch goals too. Only a 2 week campaign, so get in now if you are interested.

Guest Mr. Bigglesworth
Price seems too low in concerned about quality.
dkieft
Price seems too low in concerned about quality. It's the same company that brought you Zombicide... quality should not be a if issue. (Not saying they'll be GW/Wyrd quality, but they'll be good board game quality.
Murphy'sLawyer
Price seems too low in concerned about quality.Cool Mini has always had good quality mini's for their board games. I got two seasons of Zombicide and the quality has been top notch for board games all around. The only issue I can even think about is you may need to get card sleeves to protect the cards becuase they tend to be thin. But I do that with my games already. Also didn't Cool Mini do Super Dungeon Explorer? The plastic in the game is good plastic if I remember right.

VonVilkee
As there is excitement here I would recommend reviewing the sedition wars kickstarter along with the zombicide references. I'm confident this one will go more smoothly as I think they learned lessons but sedition wars models looked amazing during the campaign and the models we got are good but complicated. I think they learned as they are involving another studio for rules (guillotine) but this does look like another really awesome masters turned into board game level. Zombicide is good but these are not zombicide type sculpts.

You're right, it could be to good to be true but from what I have read of the rules and watched of the game play the rules appear good to solid and even if the models are only half as good as the pics make them out to be the game is still worth the $75. Also the only issue I have had with Zombicide myself is the late shipping of the second half of my orders. The box set arrived on time for season 2 and season three's box set came early. Still waiting for my stretch goals in season 3 though. (This is mostly do to the Longshoreman strike in Cali.)
VonVilkee
Totally agree but half as good isn't good enough for me I'm passing. Let us know how it works out tho. I'm really interested. Biggest reason I'm not backing is that I only do CoOp expensive board games now. The club does great for oddball competitive ones while my other circle are a bunch of "filthy casuals" and CoOp works better. Still love sedition wars andi found one regular opponent so I've been super happy.

Also someone you know will get it and then you can just play with them! Of course it might cost you a beer to join in but that is the small price we have to pay. I will let you know how it plays when I get it, sometime in Sept.
deadwing34
Just so people know, all of the models in this kickstarter come fully assembled and ready to play out of the box.
generalripphook
I doubt it's gonna have enough funding to unlock shawmans for all the fractions.

pretre
All these board game Kickstarters need a pledge level just for the models To be fair, this one is basically $75 for the models with a free game included.
intrizic
To be fair, this one is basically $75 for the models with a free game included. You're correct, but for some KS I would just like the models and the ability to order them in quantity without getting extra 'free games'. And if I were to nitpick, I would say the dollar to model ratio for this game compared to Sedition Wars isn't as good, not saying it'd bad. Approximately 57 models come out to $1.32 per model, which is great in the current market.

So they are not expecting people to buy these for a miniature war game and they expect you to play them using their game with their rules. They're not being unfair, it's just the nature of the game. Think of Chess. You don't need extra pieces unless you lose one. Well this game is the same in terms of there being a set number of models you can use.

Many of these KS have great models that are AMAZING for alternates in said miniature wargames, I'm merely suggesting that there may be a larger market for these board game companies with great models.

Got it. Yeah, there are a couple games I wish I could buy the pieces separate for my own purposes. (As I mentioned these models would make get mini's for a Viking themed RPG. Heck, I almost want to put one together just for these models.)

VonVilkee
Yeah sedition wars could have been bigger if the fractions were available separately. As it is it is hard to really build the forces you want and that one didn't have fixed forces, does now but didn't for the first edition.
