Brother Glacius
So apparently I installed a malware adpopup on my system. When I click on a link (firefox, chrome, steam) it will sometimes pop up a new tab and tell me that I need to update my flash player. I cannot seem to get rid of this thing. I have used malwarebytes and it does not seem to find it, norton and avg also don't find it. I'm at the end of my rope. Help.
pretre
Check programs and features. Remove anything you don't recognize. Check your browser addons, same. Clear cache and cookies. Failing that search for the exact text of the window with "" around it in google to try to find someone else's exact solutionz
Duckman
Are you sure that the malware is not flash itself? Personally, I use ad-aware as my disinfectant of choice. That, in combination with Spybot is usually a solid combination and both are free.

dalmer
Hello there, Another vote for Spybot Search & Destroy's free version. Worse comes to worse do a system restore to an earlier date? Stay safe, don

Gorgosaurusrex
I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) in tandem with Spybot Search & Destroy (free version), Between the two they have cleaned up anything I've ever encountered.
