  1. via La Taberna de Laurana on Faeit 212 http://latabernadelaurana.blogspot.com/ In the WD Weekly 18. Gorkanaught/Morkanaut, it will cost 65 pounds, 85 euro, 105 USD... It´s a new stompa for orks, with transport for 6 miniatures, with new arms. It´s almost the size of an Imperial Knight, about 1 or 2 inches less than it.
  2. The text on the facing page appears to be German, and I've read the foreign editions are leaking out all over the place.
  3. This looks to be the 7E BRB art for orks, but the style is the same as 6E codex covers, so hopefully the WAAAGH! is imminent.
  4. On second thought, I take it back. Now I see the possibilities of a new army that is all psykers and carries no weapons. Like those giant mecha-spiders that @scottshoemaker was going to build.
  5. It is a big deal. But also an unimaginative big deal. Also, I should correct myself that is looks like it's still Overwatch = Snap Shots = BS 1.
  6. Seems to be a confirmation in there that Overwatch is still BS 1 (Foreboding). I like psychic powers, but I feel like the "weapon" ones are just a waste. It's just another gun profile. I like the powers that do something extraordinary, like Gate of Infinity or Dominate. Why have a psychic power, and now a whole psychic phase, that is just another shooting phase?
  7. Just curious, what can you buy for $75 that you would expect to not replace in 2 years?
  8. Or a Nurgle guy with a Plague Sword that causes Instant Death. Lame.
  9. The return of Freebooter ork chaos warbands and Khorne Stormboyz? 'ERE WE GO!!
  10. I learned about the series here, so there should be other fans waiting with baited breath for book 3. In the meantime, I just noticed this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J9SUF2W/
  11. I mean setups that don't have deployment zones that are directly across from each other, like all the Eternal War missions. Like deploying alternating units anywhere on the table, or deploying markers that are then replaced by Reserves or are fakes to fool your opponent. And lots of other ideas that clever game designers could come up with. As to the new *confirmed* changes, what I really love about these is they all put choices back in the Player's hands. I much prefer rewards for following tactical guidelines than strict "you can't do that" rules.
  12. Wow, ask and ye shall receive... (at least in rumors). I can see the point about having simple and clear Missions in a complex game, but the current 6 are really just 5 variants of the same thing + 1 where all focus is put on the center of the table to consistently force a draw. Even with the setup variations, they are all still a matter of "Setup all your forces directly opposite each other and start shooting." It would be nice to have any of the true differentiators that many other games have developed. Simple stuff like not setting up across the table from each other, not focusing on 1-4 strategic points that both players know about, not being randomly rewarded/penalized for your FOC, all the way to more complex ideas like each side having totally independent victory conditions.
  13. There's no way Serkis appears onscreen as a human.
  14. It strikes me that one of the best potential changes to make would be an overhaul and expansion of the Missions. More of them, with more variety, and more reflective of the new paradigms of modern codexes. I don't think there's been a WD battle report in over a year that uses an unmodified book mission, and most were just made up by the participants.
  15. Issue #2 of my comic, Midnight's Masque, is released, and today happens to be Free Comic Book Day. Savvy marketing or happy coincidence? Who cares, either way you can download my comic for free today. Thanks for your support, and please share this with any comic fans you know. http://midnightsmasque.com/

  17. fluger, can you expand on your experiences with them? Can they be aggressive attack troops, or are they too squishy? What do you equip them with?
  18. Are SM Scouts legit for the core of an army? Not on bikes, per se, but foot sloggers. They seem like a good deal. What's a good companion for them? I was thinking about a bunch of Infiltrator squads with Locator Beacons, backed up by some hard-hittin' bruthas with pipes and blowtorches (Termies).
  19. This is an app idea from a couple friends I have. It's like a whole new take on tasks and goal setting, meant for artsy types who don't like being confined. Anyway, they pitch it much better in the KS video. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/315119709/tend-app-organic-long-term-productivity?ref=live
  20. Brick, are you pulling mightyatom's chain?
  21. Alright, I can't stop with just one. Very NSFW!
  22. I could post all of Midnight Run in this thread, but I'll start with this:
  23. In an incredible display of irony, I just discovered that Rose City ComicCon is Sep 20-21. My artist buddy and I had planned on reserving a table there to promote my comic. Nice timing.
  24. My hobby fire is only slightly warmer than Weav's, but I will go to Spike this year for two reasons: 1) If I don't keep the streak alive, the inertia to not go in the future will be crushing. 2) I won't leave Travis hanging to defend his title. In fact, if he wants to go this year, I'll spend the summer practicing against him at Game Night, then go to Spike to spoil his repeat chances. I totally understand everyone else being committed to the OFCC, because they should be. That should be the focus of all of Ordo to make it as awesome as possible. So if it's just me and Frosty, that's fine. But if he doesn't want to go back, I'll stay home, too.
