  1. hmmm I like Iybraesil as well… but it is way to much like what my current army looks like. Well wow… we have things all over the board as far as craft world themes go. I think I need to re-phrase this in a poll lol. -d
  2. hmmmm can't really see detail in that other than the green army … but very cool walk thru I am not completely opposed to the green - I'll have to look back into the fluff on em :) -d
  3. Your biker army? ;) Saim-hann;)
  4. I want to do a "stock" Eldar Craftworld paint scheme… I will decide how I execute it particularly - if I use brick reds… and white or forest green and bone… or whatever. But what I am looking for is which seems like it would be the more desirable overall? for example … you see a couple fully painted and composed Eldar Craftworld armies… aside from their army list make up. Which would you want to purchase given equal quality paint (etc.) the Ulthwe'? the Biel-tan?… Saim-hann? I have a few ideas about what the army will have in it… (Wraithknight - possibly flyer - and Eldar hornets for sure)… but otherwise the meat of the army hasn't been thought out. It comes down to what to paint - and if I decide to sell later - what is more likely to be wanted :D -d

    OFCC annoucement

I didn't see it… but is there anything up regarding army composition (point size and other particulars) for the OFCC event as well as the 40k Open? -d

    OFCC annoucement

September - should be good - I may try to do something 40k. Not sure if it would be the OPEN or the team event. :D
  7. I'm thinking burnt savanna style basing at this point… (dry grass clumps…. grey ashen ground… or tan/dusty dirt… with dark rock elements.) I agree on the Saim-hann they do "POP" on the table. After I made this post I found some nice dirty red schemes with bone/yellow which looked nice. I also saw some interesting Biel-Tan stuff… but not sure I want all that green lol. Thanks for the opinion :) -d
  8. I have picked up a huge amount of new eldar to build a new army with. My current Eldar wraith wall list is painted in a blue and snow theme - that army is pretty and complete for the most part. With the new eldar I have picked up I was thinking I would try to paint a cohesive "stock" Eldar force. Just in case I later decide to sell the army off - I was thinking that if I stuck with a semi stock scheme it may be easier to sell… then again who knows. Regardless of this I have decided to paint my first really "stock" Eldar army - but I am stuck with the choices to make. So I thought I would ask the fellow gamers - to get a gauge of what may be more desirable if I ever did sell. So - my leanings are equally to Ulthwe' (primarily black, bone, reds - etc.) or Saim-Hann ( primarily reds, white/bone etc.). I see both of these as easy to start painting - the Saim-hann being slightly more complex when getting into details - but really I am looking for is... … What would you want to see on the other side of the table?… a unified cohesive Eldar army - themed… as? eheh -- as far as basing and the rest of the theme goes it will not be snow (my existing army is snow themed)… and I want to stick with a basic Eldar craft world. -d
  9. now I has to rework a list for the new toys… then sell off the stuff I don't wanna keep.

popping in to deal with Jolly - :D
  11. started watching Helix… on SiFi… so far its ok - but can't judge it yet. -d
  12. Finally bit the bullet and picked up the new Apoc rules book - looks interesting… I am thinking I will just build out my armies to fit Apoc and plan something fun :D
  13. strange… I am not sure why people didn't like the ending - I will have to look into that. For me it was perfectly real. I liked the shortness - non typical networked MILKING of the topic. The pacing was great - writing excellent and the acting as you say - "awesome". To me this is exactly how I like my shows… let me get to know the characters…show some growth… tell the story and be done. Milking the story or situation annoys me. I dislike most normal network TV for this very reason… it becomes something about keeping ratings or viewers… rather than the story or characters at all. I find the typical network show sickening - and I can nearly stand sitcoms as well. Currently, I find watching animations like "Adventure Time" more rewarding than anything on a typical network prime time show lol. -d
  14. Wrapped up "True Detectives" tonight - amazingly great.
  15. saw 300 : Rise of Empire over the weekend - as with the last movie - lots of fighting - limbs chopped off - show mo style with cool lighting. If you liked the first 300 - then you should enjoy this one as well. For me it was a fun movie - by with little or few surprises. 8/10
  16. I may have some things to let go of. I am sure I have more than enough epic eldar… (save a few more old wave serpents). I know I have some other stuff from those battle boxes that included 3 or so army types. Let me look and I will get back to ya. p.s. does this mean… that folks may PLAY EPIC? eheh
  17. I have been playing and collecting 40k (eldar) since 1989-90… I have been playing when they have only had ONE book - lol. I don't hate it that they have all the choices now. But I do mind if its books for books and sales sake without any regard for the game at all. I have grown to like to paint minis more than play… so yeah I can just collect without books at all. But I do like a reasonable playability. A modicum of tactical thinking or game play.. etc. And the older I get - sometimes the weekend tourney is my best bet for 6 games in a year lol. So when I say that maybe GW is simply out pacing me… is to say that my interest is waining because my time is precious (to read rules… to paint… to play). And keeping up with things is part of that. I don't need to pick up every book - and most of the time I don't. My own particular problem is trying to keep up with a game that I have not played in a year… and if with the flood of rules coming out that changes the rules I basically don't know - is it worth my hobby time to try and catch up. OR rather - forget it and collect mini's for mini's sake to paint. And forsake any reasoning to play the game.
  18. I agree wholeheartedly Bro G… it really feels like they are just intent on printing money at this point. I mean - print books drive sales… period. Yes its always the way it is… but the pace is pretty brisk at this point.
  19. I have always liked Apoc… big toys… big blowing up stuff. When you loose 10+ guys to a large D template its expected… and not annoying lol. -d
