  1. Picture as requested: The two boxes behind are the sealed ones, the one to the right is full of the Bitz .
  2. Hello Ordo, My free time has greatly diminished, and I've found I have no use for a 2nd 40k Army. Because of this, I'm looking to sell my Necrons. I do live up in Seattle, but I will also be visiting Portland the first weekend in May for a Malifaux. Necrons: (NIB) Doom/Night Scythe (NIB) Ghost Ark/Doomsday Ark 3 Cryptek (sprue) 5 Warriors (in bitz) Assembled 12 Scarab Bases 2 Annihilation Barges 1 Doomsday Ark 2 Night Scythe 2 Canoptek Spyders 1 Destroyer Lord 6 Wraiths 2 Crypteks 2 Necron Lords 30 Warriors 5 Deathmarks 10 Immortals All cost me about 800 new, around 400 used I believe sounds fair. If you happen to have either Avalon Hills "Star Wars: Queens Gambit" and/or Mayfair Games "Spacefairs of Catan" we can work out a trade as well. Blasto
  3. I sold my Orc army to someone in the UK, make sure he remembers about VAT costs as well based on the declared value.
  4. I was tempted by Rum and Bones, but what caused me not to back was this. Cool Mini has now produced quite a few games to market. They now have the overhead to actually fund this project all on their own. They are using Kickstarter to just take pre-orders, cut out the local game store, and charge retailer prices (plus shipping). I've chosen not to back Cool Mini in future Kickstarters. I feel Kickstarter should be for those who are unable to fund project by normal means. Look up the game Xia, this is a perfect example of what Kickstarter was meant for (and is a very fun game). 5. There is a Pub called "Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem", its by Nottingham Castle. Its is touted to be the oldest Pub (1138). If your in the area, I think it would be worth the trip.
  6. John Wick: Yep, I went and saw John Wick Saturday night. This was a very fun movie. Enough fun that I didn't feel remorse after getting fleeced by the ticket price. The 8; yep 8 trailers before the movie was annoying.
  7. When I saw the Hulk buster teaser, the first thing that went through my mind was "I'm the dude, playing a dude, dressed up as another dude".
  8. Hello Ordo, The guys that I game with have pretty much moved on from Pathfinder (and D&D). As such, I have a large collection of the Reaper Bones Mini's from their first Kickstarter. I was part of the Vampire pledge level, and I would like to see them go to a good home. This is the whole Vampire kit you would have gotten at the 100$ level EXCEPT for the Metal Sophie. I'm keeping that one. I would like 100 for it as on Ebay the box is listed around 250. I'd rather see it go to an Ordo home if possible.
  9. Like 5% more than the normal 15%.
  10. I have yet to read a single Deadpool comic. But I would go see this movie....twice, as I've watch the trailer 4 times in the last 30 minutes. Really ok 5 times.
  11. I have a 2nd edition "Astro-granate" box edition. But It does lack the Block Dice, everything else is present (including 2 teams). Let me get some pictures for you.
  12. Hello Ordo! Now that the dust has settled for both 7th edition of 40k and the new Ork Codex, how are they? I'm not looking for the doom and gloom outlook, nor the fanboy "Everything is Awesome!" review. I'll be honest, I have not bought the new rule set, nor the Ork book. GW is charging WAY to much for them and I don't feel like throwing money away (like I did with 8th edition of WHFB). I figured people have now gotten in a few games, changed their army lists a bit to match the new format. As such, people will now be able to make a better review about the changes in both 7th and the Ork Codex. So, before I spend 200$ on rule books, is the Ork book competitive and is 7th edition fun?
  13. Hi Ordo, In my continued effort to slim down I've found that I am not using any of my Reaper bones minis I got from their first Kickstarter. This is all of the minis included at the Vampire level (100$) except for the Metal Sophie on Motorcycle as I am keeping that one. The kickstarter price was 100$ and Ebay has them selling 200 to 350. Or you can buy it directly from Reapermini.com for 330$. I'd rather this go to a Ordo house that will use it. So 75$ plus whatever the shipping cost is to you. I can include a picture if you want. The contents are pretty easy to find on the Kickstarter website.
  14. I've been following along and I am hopeful with all of the positive comments so far. I do have a question about the new Dex, and with the new edition. I've read the battle reports and the overtooled Psy phase. This is all normal with something new, so I'm not all "ZOMG 40k is ruined!1!1!!" or anything. For those of you who have seen the Dex, do the Orks have a viable solution/contribution to the Psy phase?
  15. Added a little more information on the included SpaceMarine bitz. and the pictures for the battle mat. Next group will be my Necron Army, but that will need to be in a different post as I've maxed out the photo's allowed in this one.
  16. Sorry for the very large delay. But I've added pictures for the WHFB Terrain. I have also added a SpaceMarine group as well (even pictures). I'll get the pictures for the GW case and backpack as well as the Play-field from Citys of Death later on today (Friday).
  17. Hi James, I don't think your really "beating a dead horse". Yes this topic comes up often, but that is due to many people running in to the same problem. Granted everyone's Geek Budget is a little different, but time and time again, this issue shows up. It has merit, and your thoughts are not unique. I, like you, are discouraged at GW's pricing and policy's.
  18. I remember having to go to a gaming convention when I was 10, my older brother wanted to go and the deal was he had to take me. While he went off and played D&D, I got to watch two people play Rogue Trader, Orks vs Space Marines. I had zero idea what was going on, but it looked awesome! I didn't get the chance to see any 40k until I was out of the military 13 years later. I started playing 40k when 3rd edition was brand new. Up until these last two years I played once a week. I love the WHFB and 40k IP, story, and setting. But… GW as a company, is something I can no longer support. Their view point on how they treat their clients is insulting. They drastically over charge on everything, from models that are 15 years old (ork buggies), to over priced books. They sue fan websites, and use legal bully tactics. Currently they use the line of “We only hear how much people love our products”, the reason for this is they’ve sued and or closed down any other avenue of feedback. They also targeted “Mom&Pop” stores with the intent of putting them out of business. They’ve done this by opening mini-GW stores within walking distance, limited who gets what products on time, reducing the reseller discounts , blocking web sales (illegal in UK) and removing most of their product line from physical locations. They have then closed down many of these mini-GW stores and battle bunkers as they do not have the “other” gamer products to keep them afloat. I loved playing Orks and Orcs for quite some time. But I’m just fed up with how GW treats its Fanbase and Retailers. I sadly cannot support them any longer. So for me, it is not just the high cost that has caused me to walk away.
  19. That is a Monster! I'm surprised its not all over the news.
  20. I was looking and I didn't see a "Gets Hot Rule" this edition. I know in the past, if the random AP was the same as a Plasma or lower it received that rule.
  21. Will do Murphy (your first in line). I'll take some pictures as well with my cell phone and I'll get them up as soon as time allows.
