  1. The Rodina Table definitely had a DIY charm that attracted people to it.
  2. My Top Five Favorite OFCC Infinity Tables. 1. Chris Matthews, FUC Table. The table looked so professional, that some uninitiated gamers thought it was painted by the manufacturer and not by Chris and rattle cans.... I could stare at it for hours. 2. The Warhamster Table. It looked like an actual place. The table was well thought out both tactically as well as artistically. I loved the Chessex dice cube zoo. 3. Sacred Hitless. The table was beautiful and very uniform and cohesive. The table was little to asymmetrical, but it was Andrew's first go. 4. Sino Evil. This table probably should be higher, but I see it all the time, so it is not as fresh. The Geisha hand painted on the side of Top Down Terrain building as well as the graffiti of club mates is top notch. 5. The Porkchop Express table. Yes, it had some play ability issues with open fire lanes, but the concept was great. I wish it had a subterranean level like the movie, but still. Joe built and painted the table in a week. What did you like?
  3. How do you use the Ayyar?
  4. I am going to have to agree that the humble Ghulam is an essential part of a Haqq army. The have such a low cost, that even at 200 point, you can avoid a fire team and a haris link. They make a great static defense team until the later rounds when specialists ( FO, Leila, the Doctor) can break out and achieve mission objectives.
  5. We would be honored to have you at the club and are excited you could make it to the OFCC to check out the event.
  6. Saturday, December 2nd.
  7. I hear that maybe a misprint for the suppression fire trait.....

    Ughhhhhh

    Foggy and misty today!
  9. Next question. Tables. The clubs owns 70 plus, 4 foot by 8 foot ( or larger like the ones the Infinity games were played on for the OFCC) table tops. Do we need them? They make a long flat place to play and set our gear on. Or, can we push two 30 inch by 60 inch tables and call it good? With neoprene mats, the crack/gap issues would be at a minimum. What do you think?

It is 32 degrees cooler today! This morning, I hiked the boulder pile from the beach to the cliffs. I made it 3/4 of the way to the point before my daughter wanted to turn back. Just got back from another walk in the surf. The beach is flat and compact and effortlessly to walk on.
  11. That is a viciously effective list.
  12. Also, George and I looked into asymmetrical missions and tried to make something work, but we're unable to make something work.
  13. Nathonicus, For team giveaways, I meant at the end, where I put 12 piles of prizes to go out to the teams instead of to individuals.
  14. Okay, that is just about a perfect set of thoughts on table layout. I will copy and paste for next year!
  15. Congrats on the second creature spawning date!

    Ughhhhhh

It is suppose to cool down.
  17. Alex, I was asking if team vs. individual give always were okay. As to painted armies, the OFCC has always had a painting requirement. It is part making the event about hobby and showing brush skills.

I was glad to get out of the city, but some places should never be over 90 degrees.
  19. Okay Lads and Ladies, The OFCC is done and dusted. I had a blast. I hope you did, too. I would like to know what worked, what you liked, and what to change. First, I like the table competition. I was entirely impressed at the level of quality for the tables. There was to like from every table. Second, I liked the small teams. It kept a feeling camaraderie as well as inclusion between teams. I liked the swag and give always from the Pins and Patches from the Pride of Rodina to Patchwork Merc's civilians to FUC's silhouettes. The narrative event made the event relaxed and friendly with a great feeling of sportsmanship. I did not have a bad game. Heck, I did not have a negative feeling from any game and I felt a positive attitude from the table around me. Finally, I liked the horse trading after prizes were given out, so people could get what they wanted. Concerns: 1: I know compared to other places, prizes are thin. I hope no one felted shorted in comparison to the big events like Twinfinity or Rumble on Route 66 or Arizona Armageddon. 2: I worried the booty chart made some spec ops too powerful and caused mismatches. Questions: 1: Did people like the scenarios? 2: Were team give always okay? 3: What would you like to see next year? Please give me constructive feedback, so the club can work to make the event better?
  20. Ack! I am sorry I will miss this!

Per the temp gauge on my car, it was 104 in Manzanita today. Manzanita. On the coast. The 52 degree Pacific next door. The only good news is that we were in the waves for an hour and 45 minutes straight. No wet suits. The wind felt like an oven. The water felt like an ice bath.
  22. Andrew, it was great to have you Aaron and Frasier as a team at the OFCC. You table was one of the best tables there and your army was very nice. 1. I would love to see you not only at the Rampage, but at a Fall Game Night. 2. If you can make it to the Fall League, paint for it and post your results. I will count them. 3. I am no Onxy expert, so I will defer to others. I do know Ikadrons saved Cody from going into retreat due the baggage rule and are good edge protectors. Adam B. tells me Onxy is a hacking side and recommends several hackers to help the list move around. The TR Bot with mimetism, in cover, and marksmanship 2 hacking program is very nice as well.
