The Barid is almost done. I am working on the base. I sprayed the blast walls at the club. The power room dried over night, but a few days in the heat of the club house should be good.

I have three models and one building (like in the center left edge) and three blast walls to paint for OFCC.

The great thing about playing Joel, is he demanded I not let up and push the attack. He did it with a smile and sincerity. It is a rare thing. It is great to play him, but a greater honor to have him in the club.

The table is getting closer to completion.

I played Joel and Seth tonight. We played the Hunting Party Mission on my table. I won initiative and had Joel set up to the right. He had me go first. The game lasted one turn. He hid, so I pressed the game. Ny Muyibs took tower and went into suppressive fire. The Ghulams went up the long gantry and won every firefight. The Ranger went down, then the Grunt HMG, two Mavericks, and the rest of the Grunt team. Joel started his first turn in retreat with this in his dead pool. I failed to hunt anything, but Joel had a minimum of specialists, so there were few targets.

Back to models. The uniform is done on the barid, now for the helmet. The last muyib had it's first base coat of brown (Dryad Bark).

Seth, Guardian is notoriously bad with their orders. I am still waiting for one from August of last year. I have checked about 9 times so far...... Jay has had similar luck.

Caledonia is getting several kits over the summer. The next one will be released in June 23rd. My advice on how to start to to pick up the starter kit and flesh it out to 200 points. The list should her at least 10 orders. What from there? Have your range bands cover. Have a chaingun or shotgun. Have a rifle or two. Have a few medium range weapons like Molotoks, spitfires, or HMGs. Finally, a have a long range gun like a missile launcher or sniper rifle. If your local group is playing missions, you will need specialists to accomplish the mission: Forward Observers, Doctors, Hackers, Engineers, etc. I highly recommend playing 2-5 games with the same list before changing out units. It is easier to learn the weapons and abilities if you are not changing models all the time. I also recommend playing 10 unit, " limited insertion" games to keep track of your units and not be overwhelmed.. The diceabide is a local guy. He has a good article on the subject..
