  2. So I'm waiting for a Zuzzy mat to come on the mail and it's been painted a desert theme. I want to make it into a more traditional woodland look and am wondering if anyone has had experience reprinting these? Can I just coat over everything with a spray paint or thin base coat or will it crack? I'd like to keep it able to roll up
  3. So I have a small photobox setup that includes the portable box and two white-light lamps designed to stand on either side. Most of the overhead lighting at my house seems to have a yellowish tinge that makes really vibrant photos difficult. - Do they make white-light bulbs that I can just screw into a recessed ceiling light? - I have a standing desk-type lamp that I think I can swing out over the top of the box - it may be halogen though. Do they make suitable bulbs for that? - Or do I need to buy another lamp? Next, I have a mountain picture that I'd like to print as a backdrop. Should I go matte or glossy finish? I've seen a lot of panoramic pictures better suited for railroads and thinking this is a cheaper option. Thanks
  4. Great work, like everything about it!
  5. Bartertown is good for reaching a focused group of buyers, but they're very wary of new sellers. You might have ease into it with buying/selling just a few "low risk" items at first to gain trust. Or, if you're lucky, someone may want to just snatch up everything from you at once!
  6. Titan Forge's Bloodsail Island has a bunch of Alligators in it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/141189822793?lpid=82
  7. Rare Exports is fantastic except for - AH!!! Full Frontal Old Man!
  8. I'm still on my first run-through of Enemy Within. Love all the new battlefields and missions; for some reason I like fighting Exalt more than the aliens. I spend the first few months stressing out about satellites and have only just dipped into Gene Mods (or whatever). Don't think I'll do the Mech guys this run-through as I haven't been having much problem taking down the Sectoid ones. Will switch it up next time. Starting in South America might not have been the best idea but the instant autopsies are nice. Helps unlock the new stuff quickly and give me time to skip over Beam Weapons
  9. 9th Edition Battle Report Khorne vs. Dwarfs
  10. I think the Steam Tank is great and fits the Empire aesthetic - it looks natural alongside great cannons, hellblasters, etc. These new bombers just look like Advance Wars with some dwarf runes slapped on. Or like the Warmachine Basher, as someone else said. To me they look out-of-place.
  11. Aric, the current solo-manager, is a nice guy and I wish him well. I dropped by a couple weeks back for an impulse buy and they were woefully out-of-stock on a bunch of things. He offered to order it online but, if I'm going to be bothered to shop online there's plenty of other places offering it cheaper. Lesson learned - discouraging people from using your premium-priced products is never a good thing.
  12. From their Facebook page - The Factoria Hobby Center will close it's doors for the last time on Sunday, February 23rd. You are invited to stop in and celebrate the many shared battles and pinnacle moments that have taken place at the store! Fear not - there are other stores close at hand such as the Games Workshop: Freeway V and Games Workshop: Kent Station. Didn't the Seattle area have 7 locations just a few years back?
  13. Ogres are great and a lot of people pick them up just because of the low model count and relatively cheap cost. You used to be able to get a solid army out of just two battalion boxes. To keep your friends, take only a couple or three Mournfangs - they're awesome, but relying to heavily on them is seen as a crutch.
  14. I'm sorry, but those Gyrocopters... :( Next thing you know they'll be trying to pass of Soul Grinders as Fantasy
  15. Good Burger (1997) 10:10 Truly the most poignant and underrated cinema of our time, it perfectly encapsulates the duality and injustice of the great American fast food industry - how we both oppress and beat down the "burger artist" while simultaneously placing his life's work (Ed's Special Sauce) on a glorious and shining pedestal. Watch with someone you love.
  16. Recasters - buy with care (but let me know if they turn out legit!)
  17. What am I looking at here? I see a dirty plastic bottle
  18. Don't forget that High Elves will almost always strike first - a plus for those just starting Warhammer and not quite used to the block-movement side of Fantasy. They also have plenty to do in every phase: strong magic, good shooting (but not GREAT!), silver helm knights as core, plenty of 2+ save, chariots, dragons, redirectors, scouts, specialized elites and several fun monsters thrown in. They're the Eldar of fantasy. I don't care for the sculpts though and opted for the Lord of the Rings Galadhrim ones
  19. I've been looking to add Brunahilde w/Great Banner to my army too -
  20. Stopped by the Redmond Hobbytown the other day and saw that they still carry Vallejo Game Colors. My favorite. Since Ernie's closed its been hard to find on the east side.
  21. Looks fantastic Lion of Flanders!!! More Empire!!!
