I see "cards" mentioned a lot. Are the cards going to be mandatory? Or will I still be able to use Army Builder and just my army off on a couple sheets of paper? And where might I be getting these cards for any of the models that I already own? I also hope that some of the British Colonial forces make it into a book at some point. If they don't, that eliminates 2/3 of my British Mid War armies.

I have Brit Para's (mostly assembled), US (not assembled), and Jerrie (not assembled). Just ordered V2 book and some German reinforcements from Warlord.

Bro G and I have a good number of models. I have Brits, Prussians, Ruskies, and Covenant (not all assembled mind you). We have been know to thrown down now and again, but it has a been a while. I have a Brit Legions starter force; not assembled yet either. I think a lot of Spartan's problem is the movement and targeting rules and the ADD nature of their game support. Very finicky and slow to play. But that might be the nature of naval combat? I believe that is was a good idea to not go ahead with the KS, but on the other hand 15mm with their universe could have been very interesting.

I have a reasonable amount of Cygnar models & books (rulebook & faction book). PM me if you are interested.

It appears that there is Bolt Action every other Thursdays at Dice Age according to their current calendar. The last time I was in there (couple of months ago) they had a nice selection of BA products too.

Indy, yes the core for Bolt Action's rule set is at the core of a number of Warlords games ('Hail Ceasar', 'Pike and Shot', 'Black Powder' - all historical). Antares looks to be of a similar vein. And Pretre, we have found a new home near Van Mall. And move in about 2 weeks, And yes 5 for $32 is a bit pricey, but their plastics are on the way - $112 for their 2 player starter set which is mostly plastics. The new BA plastic sell for $40 for 30 dudes. I know the Mantic stuff is such a great price, I'm just not sure about the game play is all. Plus they dis'd the Marauders! What were they thinking??? I'm thinking that I might pledge $50 in the Warpath KS so that I get the rules. And maybe I'll get some models too. But I just really like the bolt action rules. Such a dilemma!

Indy, once I get done moving - if you'd like to try out Bolt Action - I'd be willing to give you a demo. Dice Age has a good Bolt Action community too. Oh I think I owe you a KOW game too. Just got to get through the next 2 weeks and then I'll get all my game stuff back from storage.

I'm not sure about Warlord being GW prices. I don't think that the minis are that bad, but I haven't seen them up close and personal either. I'm torn between this and Warpath. Bolt action is a great game and I really enjoy the rule set but on the other hand the Mantic game is such a great deal; oh bother! Yes, the Antares rule set is built on the Bolt Action rules. This is really a tough choice. Also at this point Warpath has rules for the models that I own (Marauders and Plague) where as the current Antares factions are all human based scifi models whic I don't own. Antares will be out in November and Warpath will be out in January?? Maybe?? I'm really split on which one to back or maybe I should try to back both of them!!! Well maybe both if I could just sell my Warmachine stuff Thoughts? Buyers for my Warmachine stuff?

Barca, I would imagine that Guardian will carry it when it becomes available. They already have a bunch of Mantic models and had the old books in stock a while back. The Warstore (online at http://www.thewarstore.com/manticpreorders.html ) has the rule book available as a pre-order. The book is not quite out yet, but is coming very soon. I don't have my Kick Starter stuff yet either and I'm getting quite antsy.

KOW is a good game. Easy to pick up and start playing. Plus you can use your existing models to play the game. 2.0 is a refinement of the current set of rules. It has a chess like feel and yes people do create dioramas with their bases. I've played a few times and really enjoy it. There are some great deals on the armies with the 2.0 KOW KickStarter. I'm in on the KickStarter, so let me (or Bro G) know quick if anything interests you as the pledge manager needs to be filled out before Mar 30th.
