Im hesitant to vote as well because I think the club could go several directions. Instead of throwing out my opinion I want to hear from everyone in person and discuss what we think the club should be and then decide on how our government will reflect it.

never mind just saw the other thread. I think you need more than a lvl 1 for magic defense. Make the skink a lvl 2 and give him a scroll, that will help a lot to protect yourself. you might benefit from having more chaff as well, either more skinks or some flying lizard unit would work. glad you are making it, I hope we get paired cuz we still haven't played yet.

have you signed up? from what I understand there is a wait list and lists were due last week.

wow those look great. I really wish the basic empire troop box had more poofy sleeves with slashes like the great swords. I cant even begin to say how many hours I spend greenstuffing extra folds and stuff onto those models.

I wanted to maintain the witch/vampire hunter theme and I wanted an excuse to order the avatars of war witch hound. The pictures dont do him justice, the reds and gold are much more vibrant in real life. Ill take some pictures of him on the war alter in a couple of days since my army is in the display case at my local shop. C&C welcome as always.

I think you have brought up a great point Scipiano. One of the concerns that was brought up was 40k has become a broken game and only works if you schedule a game. Bringing multiple lists could help to solve this problem.

I think that the reason that people dont get games in unless they have scheduled one is because everyone schedules them in advance. I know I have come in a couple of times without games scheduled and just sat around because there wasnt anyone left to play. If more people walk in for pick up games then I know that this problem will dwindle down a lot.

Im going to join the experiment as well as I truly believe that we lose out on a lot of new blood because they feel excluded by not getting in games. Joining the forum and posting on it might not seem like a lot for some, but for new gamers it can be intimidating and a deterrent. Bellingham is the only place out of the half dozen game shops that ive gamed at where scheduled games are the norm. The more people that try out pick up games, the more chance we have at it working. If its just Joey, Kevin and I than its doomed to fail.

Hey guys, now that my war alter model is finished I am starting to look into building my hurricanum conversion. I am looking for a couple of draft oxen to pull the cart. i have found some good models but they are all from Britain and I am worried that they wont get here in time to build and paint for the hamslam. Does anyone have something that would work or know of someplace in town that I could get them?

whelp I thought I would show you guys what ive been working on for the last month. I have been preparing for a local fantasy tournament in Bellingham and I wanted to add some stuff to my empire army to change it up from my Ofcc empire. Last night I finally finished my new war alter. The arch lector is on the painting table and will hopefully be finished later this week. I wanted to continue the theme of vampire hunters into the waralter. The concept is that vampires are being put into the gibbet and then exercised powering the banishment spell. The waralter itself was built from the remnants of a destroyed Sigmar church in the north of Averland. close up of a recently banished vampire the executioner ogre bringing another vampire in a coffin to the gibbet the cherub and finally a close up of the book The arch lector will stand behind the dwarf holding the book. Having played a couple of games of netrunner I will say it plays kinda like Magic, which makes sense since it was made by Richard Garfield. If you like magic or card games you will like this game. If you dont like magic, you might not like this game. I dont like magic and thus didnt really like the game. I will admit that the game is very intricate and has a lot of strategy and depth.

again, it would be a couple of tables, not the entire back area. People under 21 cans still get games in. I thought this would have been met with some more enthusiasm, but it seems like I was wrong. It might be that it wont come to pass for legal reasons so this could all be for naught. Sorry I brought it up.

im not sure I understand how it will drive customers away? there will be an area in the back room that is 21+ but most of the room will remain open. its just a little addition for the older crowd and considering that there are only a couple of people under 21 who play table top games it wont have that much of an impact. Also the wall that will divide the area will be a short half wall, the room wont be cut in half.

he would have a several tables behind a short wall, not the entire backroom, that would be silly.

he seemed very optimistic so hopefully it will happen.

So I had an interesting conversation with Nathaniel today. He wants to put in a 21+ section in the back area and sell cans and bottle of beer. He is still not sure about all of the legality issues that this will bring but he already sells snacks and stuff which fills the food requirements. He mentioned coming in and talking to us on a tuesday about what type of beer people will drink so maybe expect that in the next couple of weeks. I asked about a projection and he isnt really sure when this would happen since he and Katie just started thinking about it a couple of days ago. I immediately thought of how this will fill our problem of supporting the shop. Since we dont buy too many models and generate revenue, we can support him through beer and thats the best damn way to support anyone.
