  8. agreed, I recently bought some bass wood on Jims recommendation and I will never go back to what I was doing before. its really sturdy and pretty cheap. I wouldnt use it for modeling so stick with balsa wood for that.
  9. Welcome! 9th age has been slowly growing as a game in our community so if warhammer used to be your main jam I would suggest looking at the 9th age rules. Ill be getting a game of 9th age this tuesday so if you want to watch and talk about the differences and merits of the game your more than welcome.
  10. yes you do! my orcs are looking to open up some knights can opener style, or push some peasant around school yard style.
  11. ive used balsa wood for both model conversion and a bunch of the terrain in the shop. like VonVikee said its pretty soft, but as long as you baby the model and protect it it will be fine. All of my orc and goblin warmachines are built from balsa wood. I assume your curious about building stuff for your skaven to which i would say go for it.
  12. That's why it's a learning game! I'm bringing a list that has a bit of everything so you can see how different types of units work on the table.
  13. alright, I got a funky 3000pt greenskin list written up with some stuff I have never taken before. Get ready for some random orc and goblins.
  14. Its time to breath some new life into this thread before it completely dies. Here is that band I was talking about last week called Khemmis. They are stoner metal/hard rock.
  15. What are people doing for games this week. Loren, you still interested in learning 9th age? If so we could do 3000 pts. If you are not interested I'd be down for some saga.
  16. Hey everyone, I just published episode 4 on the website and it should be on itunes sometime tonight. This episode is on the Rus and the beginning of the viking age. Check it out and let me know what you think. http://therealmiddleages.libsyn.com/
  17. oh my [big bad swear word], that is one of my favorite models in all of GW. I cant figure out why but its just so awesome. glad to see you are finally getting time to work on 9th age stuff. We had two lizardmen players at the tournament and they had completely different lists which was really nice to see.
  18. oh man, those goblins are awesome and pretty affordable.

  23. Hey everyone, some of you know that I have been working on a medieval history podcast called The Real Middle Ages. Well I finally have a couple of episodes on itunes and built a very very basic website and facebook page. I have never done anything like this before and would really appreciate any constructive criticism on how I can improve the podcast and how it is delivered and presented. here are the link to the website and the facebook page. I would also love some reviews on itunes since it will help boost the show when people are browsing itunes for podcasts. Thanks guys. http://therealmiddleages.libsyn.com/ https://www.facebook.com/The-Real-Middle-Ages-podcast-1882898955318733/
