  2. What a stupid system for good models. No points means nothing but scenario play or "agreed fairness " scenarios bore the crap out of me. I will play a board game if i want that. Agreed fairness has never worked. Stupid stupid stupid. Thank god I have my eight edition books.

Skaven destroy tilea and become the controllers of the southlands. The ogres are subjugated by the dwarves, and are praying for a deliverance that will never come. Chaos holds the north slowly warping the world, only being held by mysterious strikes by skyships of tge lizardmen... Khemri starts healing and is the new hope in the world as settra breaks free Beastmen ally with chaos no shock

  6. Also Jeeps with HMG are the best point for point option you can bring. Invest in.a couple. I cant imagine Americans without dakka jeeps, its like Nazis without multiple machine guns everywhere, russia without artillery, or japan without banzai.
  7. I much order the CoB in the unit with silly ness of more attacks, and helping more units. Since you lose your rerolls you need that extra 10 attacks to swap the odds back. CoK are fine an dandy. I prefer dark masters.more due to the inevitable blown stupidity, it happens too dam often on my dice. Dark magic all the way. The two signaturess are over the top and I feel must haves. Especially if you're running corsairs.
  8. Saurus plainly saying are thoroughly mediocre. Witthout a character in the unit they will repeatedly lose combat against most elven combat units, most WoC, most dwarves combat units and quite few other selections Their saving grace is 4+ AS/6+ parry and coldblooded. Without stubborn its much too easy to deny their steadfast, put them on a 5 and run them down or grind the out. If your bringing.non TG Saurus you must be stubborn. The rest will fail due to the relatively slow nature of the army. That's why buffs are so critical on Saurus too. Rippers are fantastic, there are reams of pages on how to use them. The key isn't to throw them away needlessly. Also buffs buffs buffs. Wyssans makes them insanely good. Life light/shadow and beasts are where battle line lizards live. (Skink cloud is about ethereal slann and shadow/death) Also. Skinks win you games but lose you.more.
  9. With a crown he stops ranked units, which is an amazing utility. Rippers out perform cold one riders by miles sorry about your experience MN but they are miles beyond most other choices. (When the player isn't a derp and uses his toads right) Honestly dismount the scar vet, and put a foot vet in those Saurus. Scar Vet, shield, enchanted shield, light armor, crown of command, 10 point magic weapon That would give you two 100% stubborn bricks (Although its so much better with an old blood and competant defense / offense ) MN- the swap ability is pretty random and depends on success. It's pure win more ability. LoLife- ToV saves you from losing the game instantly on a miscast. That cannot be understated. Toughness fixing Saurus makes them just good enough for combat Unforging is just a gimmick, I'd much rather either kil them or save my guys with my power dice.
  10. I've never once found reservoir of eldritch worth it. Those points easily should be a stubborn crown on the cowboy. That's the money shot. As for the channel gear set up. I've tried it a lot now and. find it lacking. I always end up wishing that I'd just brougt a cheaper option ( power stone ) High magic lore will.disappoint you a lot. Lore of life will not. You cannot out fight elves regardless of WS or initiative. Go with what will give you the advantages. (ToV, +Toughness, dwellers) Split those chameleons into two units unless you desperately want high magic.
  11. 1000 points us the common point level for most games. We have a large bolt Action community at dice age. You should check it out. A good starting point for a US force looks not dissimilar from this outline.   12. Looking at this list I can't help but have the reaction that it needs 100% more cauldron.
  13. Why not 2x2 or better yet, 2x1 and 1x2. On the beasts? Burning chariots not being able to march makes me sad. Could you shift points to bring two units of ten horrors?
  14. The question is are you bringing a cauldron? Regardless horde all day. It deletes the balls off of units.
  15. I approve of this post 100%. We need more people to be awesome and come to Dice Age. Id love to see the Portland crowd visit. Exile and I get lonely.
  16. Blowpipers are for Hand of glory builds in units of 20. Yes hit on 2+ is awesome with 40 poison shots.
  17. Slann needs the Standard of discipline 24 Saurus is plenty, which refund enough almost for a scar vet. Break the salamanders into 3 packs 1 monster is just cannon bait. It's the least good option in the army you posted.
  18. You can, which provides no benefit over javelins. Shields at least give you a 5+ armor save on skinks.
  19. Penthouse Forum- Easy read but the stories seem to stretch the credulity pretty far, also the editor must be broken because the grammar is atrocious.
  20. I guess I should explain why the above works. It's all about reliable battle lines With and LD 10 stubborn cold blooded BSB slann youcan easily keep you entire line within LD range. Magic Wise +5 to cast/dispel on lore of life is a big deal. The key is always the throne of vines to prevent miscast failure. All spells are buffs lores to take mediocre stats up to fantastic. With +5 dispel(or more) and two scrolls you can keep non IF magic in check easily. Every unit is 5x5 to maintain steadfast or is stubborn if its a combat unit. All skink units are there to either bunker or hunt chaff./warmachines. You can pretty much always get a solid game out of lizards.
  21. Oh personally I think the herd stone is a terrible choice. Your essentially saying you got a tob of points sitting in one spot just waiting for a backfield blitz. It is amusing to have a magic phase where your almost maxed every turn. (Btw I count 8 channels)
  22. Yes, lizards have possibly one strong theme. "Reliable" When built for reliability you have possibly the friendliest army in the game for a player. A pretty rock solid build I've run multiple times is similar to Slann Mage priest, Life Lvl 4, BSB, Standard of Discipline Book of Ashur Skink priest, Lvl 2, Beasts Dispel Scroll Skink priest lvl 2, Beasts Cube of darkness Saurus Scar Veteran Light Armor Great Weapon Saurus Scar Veteran Light Armor Great Weapon 24 Saurus Warriors Full Command, HW/shield 24 Saurus Warriors Full Command, HW/shield 10 Skink Skirmishers Javelins Shields 10 Skink Skirmishers Javelins Shields 5 Chameleon Skinks 5 Chameleon Skinks 3 Terradon riders 3 Terradon riders 21 Temple Guard Full Command Ancient Stegadon, Sharpened Horns, Stampede Ancient Stegadon Sharpened Horns, Stampede Salamander pack.
  23. MN- Was more to use the beast book cheese. Never having a magic phase below 12 dice is gross when you got 3 shadow mages to completely douche moves and engage where you want. Also spot removal is awesome. I'm going to stand by my point earlier. Combo books are bad without self limitung players.
