  2. I have spent literally an entire day trying to assemble one model. Metal blood knights are making me cry. I need help.
  3. Coven Thrones are all of the awesome. Charmed shield is an absolute must. If you're taking its as a hero try to maximize your kills with it. Red Fury + ASF sword rakes in the CR
  4. Zombies. Neither unit can kill anyone. Go with the unit that synergizes with most of the army tricks and is substantially cheaper. If you like skeletons go with grave guard. Those guys murder. Banner of Barrows makes the unit fearsome. Zombies are good necromancer bunkers. It's not uncommon to start with 25 and be at 50 within a few turns of IoN I always bring 2 x 25 with standard and musicians Skeletons just die less fast and get a champ/magic standard

  6. Yeah where else you sticking them? Skirmishers? Don't make me laugh. The 125/130 priests are awesome.
  7. I'm excited for 50% lord/Heros. VC finally can play a blow out lord on dragon. Oh and sword of anti heros .. Just saying.
  8. My prefered skink priest bunker is 10 skink cohort+ Kroxigor+Full Command. If you run beast magic priests, you just butt punch most back field hunting units.
  9. I highly recommend zombies for bunkers. It's easy to explode a unit with master necromancers Best to hide them in something cheap.

  11. I'm a big fan of several things in the skaven book. + Stormvermin when deep and not horde. + clan rat CR generation squads (25-50) Die Slowly. + cheap chieftains. Because awesome 47 points. + weapon teams. Flames and mortars for days. + Rogres because they look good. + Plague Censer Bearers- god why don't I see these? What I hate. Bell/furnace. - not because they are bad but so obvious auto include Plague monks with banner. DuH derp roll dice. Gutter runners- because showing up behind me is awesome.(more because I'm a bad player and forget about them) Pete- warlord clans all the way !
  12. The gobbo Heros are problem solvers, use them to hunt warmachines, pop lone chariots, beat up eagles kill wizards. So useful. So cheap.

  14. Your proto list is pretty decent Only one unit can be big uns however. 40 man blocks are pretty healthy, use your big uns on your foot orcs. The regular orc boy big unz should probably be 50 Boar boyz are the disappointment on damage without a character I'd do Boss on boar Black orc BSB to go in the boyz Lvl 2 scroll caddy Goblin hero on wolf with GW Goblin hero on wolf with GW 50 orc boyz big uns, FC, shield 2 x 25 NG, fanatics, nets, STD, musician 4 units of 5 wolf riders 40 black orcs, FC 6 Boar boyz, FC , spears Giant Doom diver x 2
  15. Has there been any clear answer on this weirdness? Is it a war beast (making the rider cavalry despite base size) OR Is it Mon cavalry because of base size. ?

  17. I think the lack of strategic sense is just the silly fluff I.wrote it could just as easily be a race to the safety of a pass/fort etc. The tactics come from 1. How much do you send to the fort? Every unit off the table is one less that you can prevent your opponent from scoring 2. How often can you afford to engage? It could end randomly, you could bog in combat etc. 3. The watchtower argument is moot. It's in the book and we've used it.in the last 3 OFCCs I know.of in some variation.
  18. Remember a ranked unit with 3 ranks, and a Standard automatically is at +4 CR prior to kills. Your knightss generate + 3 static CR prior to kills. (standard, BSB, one rank.) Which automatically puts you one down prior to kills. To offset this Charge grants +1 Flank +1 Rear +2 My personal favorite is War Banner magic item. It grants +1 CR always So now you are tied prior to kills. Maximizing kills? I've heard chaos had SOME skills in CC ...

  20. I hope everyone enjoys this scenario. I really would appreciate good constructive feedback after games in this thread. Fun scenarios like this is how new stuff gets added to tournament packets.
  21. So I talked to RD and a few others about this mission and I want to get people's thoughts on it. "Your army ate at Señor Nurglitos burrito shack last night and something just ain't right down below. You must get your army to the outhouses in time." Deployment Battleline. Special: Each player mark a suitable piece of terrain to be the outhouses/latrines. Place this terrain 36 inches from the Long side deployment and 24 inches from the short table sides.( for the spatially impaired that means your objectives are dead center of your opponents deployment zone) Objectives: No VPs are awarded for destroying models in this mission. At the start of ANY movement phase if a unit is in contact with their objective, remove it from the table and immediately score full VPs for that unit. Game length: This game uses random.game duration starting at the end of turn 4 (5+, 4+, 3+) Why this is fun: you score nothing for beating units, killing units, or being awesome. It's all about how well you can score and keep your opponent from scoring. If you dash for it and leave yours open you will lose and vice versa. Drawbacks: yes faster armies have some advantage but castle armies are.not fun for anyone so a moot point. Scoring: More VPs off the table: +5 Most units off the table: +2 No units off the table: 0
  22. I use best of 5 myself. I hear you on gnoblars. They just don't earn points as trappers. Regular 20 man blocks at least provide cheap ranks. If you want to find the WTF unit ... Big sabretusk packs decimate all. Proxy a few with wolves you will see.
