  1. I tried my hand at Tortillas for the first time with the Mole. I didn't get them thin enough, but that's to be expected using my hands and not a rolling pin. They ended up more like little cakes or biscuits as a result. Nobody complained, but I didn't care for them. The Pulled Pork was amazing. I had it on a roll, everyone else ate it like stew. I would've put taters in had I known. One person complained about how salty it was, but I hadn't added any water, so it was all reduction full flavor. I have another chicken to cook later this week or early next week. I think I'll cut off the meat, and then make my stock with the carcass. Not sure what i'll do with the meat yet.
  2. I'm on a limited budget right now, so I don't have as many veggies or other things as I would've liked to have had at various sages, but it's still coming out! The shoulder is falling apart, almost no chunks left, already took it's netting out. I didn't let it sit with the dry rub for very long before I seared it, but I'm happy with the results thus far. I've never cooked pork shoulder before, I'm not normally a fan of pork, to be honest. But so far, this has been a good experience. I'd like to make my own BBQ sauce, don't have enough molasses in the cabinet, though. Don't have any liquid smoke either. But I'm excited to do that sometime soon. Feel free to share pics of what you have going on, too! I'd love to see what you're cooking and how you're doing it. Also gives other people a quick go to for ideas. I'm sure we have some great Grillers, Rolled Sleeve Closet Chefs, and anything else. Don't just be an arm chair general, be an arm chair chef, too!
  3. -Cooked Chicken in Crockpot over night, deboned, returned for another hour, strained, separated into two portions. -Seared Pork Shoulder, put into crockpot onto of onion, returned Chicken Stock to crockpot, added Cilantro. Cooked on high for 3 hours, put on low. Will continue working on it tomorrow. -Boiled Pasta, added smaller portion of chicken, mayo, seasonings, balsamic vinegar, salt, onion. Covered and placed in fridge to get flavorful. -Added 4 cups Mole, 2 Cups Rojo sauce and 2 cups water to the remaining chicken, simmered for 3 hours on low, pulled half and froze for a later dinner. Continued low simmer of Spicy Chicken Mole. -Made Chicken Sandwich with tomato, mayo, salt and pepper before making the Chicken Pasta. - 4 to 5 meals for 4 people in my house.
  4. Was talking to a friend about the niners game and he replied with:
  5. I just didn't want to post the pic again since it was the post above. I got the joke, as I said below the "WAHWAHWAAAHAHAHAHAH." I just felt it was....Wahwahwahahahah lol
  6. @Pax, that's why I have "Primarchs" in the tag. :) Concerning Alpha/Omega, I had the twin listed initially, but after going over the fluff in the HH book, I opted to leave it with just Alpharius. In future books, should they add him, I'll add him back, but the fluff as they are listing for now leans towards it being a body double/smoke and mirrors, rather than Twin Twentieth Primarchs. I've always pictured Khan as a physical embodiment of a Tiger, and it could be because of Jungle Book, admittedly. JB aside, you have the loyalist primarchs largely paired with animals. The Emperor. I've brought him up in convo on here, I don't feel like looking for the thread, but it had more to do with his points and comparing it to the FW GDs and Warhound/Reaver Titan points I believe. Besides, I'd need to change the name of the thread to "The Emperor and his Children" ;) @Fluger, I was going through my HH books, as I got book 2 and 3 today (YAY! Been waiting to read these for MONTHS), and decided to compile a list of the Primarchs, their stats, and their points cost for easy reference. I wasn't worried about their Bells and Whistles, but more with points comparison and a curiosity of how their stat lines related to each other. I find some of the saves very curious in relation to each other when it comes to ++. Ultimately, they all have IWND (and I think a couple had FNP), so they have some staying power beyond T6/7 and 4+ wounds. I thought some others on here may enjoy having this for reference as well, or to satisfy curiosity, so I shared. Edit: Changed the thread name, Pax. Hopefully a bit more clear.
  7. I imagine the final 6 will have an average point cost closer to 450. Either way, it still puts the 18 existing Primarchs at 7500-8000 points. - There's 3385 in 8 Traitor Primarchs, with only rules for Magnus to come. - There's 1715 in 4 Loyalist Primarchs, with the Lion, the Wolf, the Angel, the Tiger and the Smurf to come - Points cost of Traitor Primarchs when they get their Daemon rules will be interesting. I'm curious how many of them will go up, or if it'll stay in the 400-500 point range.
  8. With the Kitchen season coming up, just thought I'd post a reminder for everyone!
  9. Now as for your 6th Ed thought, I refer you to the following: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/fwDownloads Note: It doesn't list the newer PDFs as 7th Edition, it calls all of it 6th Ed rules.
  10. and yeah, I got the joke -_____-
  11. I don't need a swiss army tape. That's just too much crap. I'm with Jim on it. It also looks pretty hokey, mock up or not.
  12. I hadn't noticed that. That is pretty interesting. I wonder if they'll change it, or if it's to slow the model down since it's getting "additional" wounds and ++
  13. How do you feel about an army of Death Company Dreads with no DC? Having not played 7th and not too familiar with the rules, I would say that the DCD, the Honor Squad, the Command Squad are akin to an upgrade. You can't take a Tact Sgt if you don't take the Tactical Squad. You can't take the Death Company Dread if you haven't taken enough Death Company Marines. What about Imperial Guard? Does unbound let you take a crap ton of Special Weapon Squads? Regardless, this thought exercise is Fluff related. So, I would take Papa Smurf as part of that list.
  14. These lists aren't built to win, by any means. Here's another one of similar vein: Marneus Calgar 10 Man Honor Squad TH, Standard of the Emperor Landraider plus upgrades 10 Man Honor Squad TH, Chapter Standard Landraider plus upgrades 10 Man Honor Squad TH Landraider plus upgrades Relic Blades to taste 2000 points Drop any upgrades on the LRs and squads except the TH on the Champs and you're down to 1850.
  15. I'd say I wasn't that far off on the weapon profiles or the Points cost. I had longer range and slightly higher damage output, but not the JackbNimble attitude about it.

  17. Bastard child who's dad was killed in "The War" copes with growing up with an over protective mother, marries an unfaithful woman and ultimately finds salvation in Traditional and Conservative values that he passes on to others.
  18. The movie is pretty epic. I think it still holds up pretty well. I've heard there's a reboot movie coming. Pretty excited for that. Sadly, it's not a ReBoot movie.
  19. 6 upper class teens get fancy ass rides and save the city from an evil alien.
  20. HAHAHAHA! I had thought the same thing earlier while I was out running errands and totally forgot about it when I got home.
