  1. I was considering modeling 8 Bloodthirsters, so I decided I'd look at the points. Color me surprised when I saw it was 2000 points, before you start applying any Rewards. This got me curious about the other Greater Daemons and where they come in. 1020 - 1620 Points => Keeper of Secrets x6 The most room for adding Sacred units. 6 squads of 12 'Nettes range from 650 - 920 points. 72 Daemonettes and 6 Keeper of Secrets is pretty legit. 1330 - 2030 Points => Great Unclean One x7 You could take 6 fully kitted GUO and Ku'Gath at a clean 2k. That's 18 Psychic dice of Grandpa's Goodness. Although, if you could get Epidemius in there, too, just for some extra hugs. 2000 - 2400 Points => Bloodthirster x8 Taking Scarbrand at 2000 would let you take 2 Lesser Rewards or 1 Greater reward as he's 25pts cheaper than a stock Thirster. The 8 would be 2400 points fully kitted, 2375 if one of the GDs were Skarbrand. Although, I think I'd model him as a Ninth GD instead of part of the bloodbath. For a clean 2k points, I think 8 Thirsters is pretty wicked. 2070 - 2745 Points => Lord of Change x9 I'm not even sure what to say about this. I also don't really think it'd be as effective as the others, not to mention the most affordable version is 2070 pts. What do you think? How would you feel about facing such a list? After facing Super Heavies in standard games with 7th ed, is a list like this less intimidating than it might have been an edition or two back?
  2. Don't forget, 8th Edition could change things even more. I hear it's supposed to launch next spring, in conjunction with a new SM codex.
  3. Perhaps being a long lived "Warlord" just isnt in the stars for him.
  4. I've been playing Final Fantasy tactics more or less since it came out. Today I learned you can ride chocobos. Have you had something similar happen with a game you absolutely love?
  5. Yeah, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had some high hopes after House of Cards being so wonderful. I can't say my mind was blown with how amazingly awesome Knights was, but it was better than I thought it was going to be after the first episode. Honestly, the thing that bothers me most is how everyone's hair is rendered. lol I dig on the whole thing being CGI, but that hair, especially on the characters with longer hair.
  6. As solid as the foundation of Venice, perhaps. But a foundation.
  7. People have been saying for years they want affordable titans. GW/FW has responded ad nauseam. :D
  8. You almost have it. In order to field that second Acheron, you'd have to have a second Lance AND second Castigator to make it legal, as far as a single detachment goes.
  9. Have you read Squee or JTHM? Check them out if you haven't. Watched the first season of Knights of Sidonia anime. Neon Genesis meets Stargate: Universe. It's good, not great. Addresses some interesting concepts. Not kid friendly.

  11. I think Knights and Carapace Armor go very well together.
  12. For personal clarification and understanding having still not played 7th... You have Imperial Knights as your Warlords Faction. This grants you unlimited (up to TO/Event limit/Points Limit) access to any Imperial Knights Faction Detachment, which could be a CAD from the BRB (which wouldn't work with IK for the obvious reasons), The special Force Org from the IK Codex (I'm going to assume it's referred to as a Detachment, though?), or Adamantine Lance from the IK Codex I'm assuming, or other "formations" or Force Org charts that have been approved. In addition, as an Imperial Faction, you are Battle Brothers with all other Imperial Factions. At which point, you are taking the Paladin in an IK Detachment, The Adamantine Lance Detachment and an Allied Detachment, totaling 3 Detachments in your 1850 list. Am I understanding and reading it correctly?
  13. "I'm more popular than Jesus" - Roger Waters, probably I've loved all their stuff for different reasons with each album. Some concepts string from album to album, but each I adore for it's own reasons. Musical is great. :)
  14. http://www.pinkfloyd.com/theendlessriver/ I'm excited. Back in July, Gilmour's wife started promotion of the Album. Of course Water's isn't involved, maybe someday the two of them can stop being asshats to each other and put egos aside. I'm not holding my breath.
