So I'm glad that Doc brought that concern. I will address it immediately. This is an Ordo Fanaticus event. Just because it is an ITC qualifier does not mean the same members of the community are going to suddenly turn into asshats and act inappropriately. If they do once during the event, they will be spoken to about it and warned. If they do it twice they will never see the inside of on Ordo Fanaticus event again. This community has done well to encourage strong and aggressive competitive play but not at the expense of sportsmanship and fun. Competitive play isn't a bad thing. It's actually a good thing. When you watch a sports team you cheer for your team to beat the other. You praise them for succeeding and damn them for failing. If you are like me you go through an emotional roller-coaster of anger, joy, sorrow, euphoria, berserk rage and finally super saiyan 4 obliteration fury that levels city blocks that slowly subsides into silence. Competitive play gets you excited during the game about winning and doing well. The difference however that happens to polarize communities on the subject is the distinction between winning and having to win. You should always play to win, however you shouldn't always hinge your enjoyment of the game on winning. People who fail to follow that mentality end up getting too emotionally tied up in the game and ruin it for everyone. If bad behavior is allowed to happen then the fault lies in the TO for not properly managing their event. As BigTal and I are Captain Insano OCD, you can bet that won't happen!

If you have a question for the HoG for the 40k Team/Open event, please PM them if they have not responded to your post on this thread within a reasonable amount of time (i.e. over a week). The HoG will address the issues when they can. @Pumkinhead until BigTal has made a ruling you may assume that since he is using the ITC rules packet that he will be using their faq/erratas/rulings until he specifically states otherwise. Just a good general rule to use.

This number may be increased further provided teams are full paid up quickly and room reservations are made. Tickets for the event will be available soon. The Ordo Senate and others contributing to the success of the event appreciate your patience. And... Everything is awesome. Everything is cool when you're part of a team.

Enough of you managed to voice concerns via posting, private messages, emails and other social media applications enough for me to recant my statement about the first challenge round being removed. Challenges, first round. Back in! MEAT'S BACK ON THE MENU BOYS! I just request you wait to issue challenges until we have 16 paid teams and are able to begin our expansion to 20-28 teams if necessary. Ticket's go on sale soon.

Challenge Round will be removed in the next rules pack revision in order to provide an opportunity for the Grudge Match events on Friday where a team may challenge up to 3 other teams in a single day event. This was decided at the last Senate meeting on 1/17 provided there is enough interest in doing so from all the players to come down Friday. As soon as I have Thanquol in hand, I'll have an updated Rules packet for Team and Open events as well as Battle Scenarios. I know many of you love the challenges but we would like to make an entire one day event to battle it out, think of it as a "Book of Grudges" for Fantasy or a "Litanies of Hate" for 40k. Themed events like I know right?

No, the OFCC event is July 17-19 and it is at the same venue all three days.

1. Wording on the achievements section has been cleaned up and at least has been removed from the 5 pin achievement. 2. Yes 1, 2 or 5. 3. Yes, if they are in the swedish comp or the ofcc addendum then they are permitted. Also keep in mind packets will be updated when new books are released. The next uodatw will be in 2ish weeks.
