  1. Hello Ordo Fanaticus, We are happy to announce that we will be accepting submissions for the Head of Gaming for OFCC 2015. (Please PM Sylvos for his email address) The current HoG positions available are for: The Warhammer Fantasy Team Event The Warhammer 40k Team Event The HoG will work with the Campaign Czar and Senate in designing, organizing and running the event for which they are selected. Those interested in applying to be HoG will be required to submit a proposal which will detail the following criteria for a 64 player event composed of teams of 4 players each. 1. Missions and Scenarios 2. Player and Team match up methodology. 3. List Rating and Army Composition criteria 4. Scoring methods (Sportsmanship, Painting, Battle Points, etc..) 5. Point Value for the event 6. Achievements and Awards Your proposal to the Campaign Czar should also include a cover letter detailing what your vision for the event is and why you wish to be Head of Gaming. If your proposal is accepted, you may be required to make changes based on the developing needs of the event and the club. As this is an Ordo Fanaticus sponsored event, the HoG will need to work closely with the Campaign Czar to ensure that the spirit of the event is being appropriately represented. The last day for submissions will be December 7th and the Head of Gaming will be selected and announced on December 14th. Please PM Sylvos if you have any additional questions. Thank you, John Kersey Ordo Fanaticus Campaign Czar 2015
  2. An average power list is 8-13 why bother juggling? Not to mention the sweedish comp has to be revised and modified to compensate for End Times so at this point I would not worry about your rating. Especially since no decisions have been made as to how the team event is going to be run. But for spitballing, just keep it cool brah keep it cool.
  3. That would have meant that he had a negative score of -320 prior to doing the division which means that HeroZero is bad at math.
  4. And he says *I* have anger issues. So mad. y u mad br0?
  5. NTK - Your opponent did nothing illegal. I can appreciate your desire to have a rules clarification and I am happy to provide better clarification on the issue sometime with you as that is a rather interesting situation that can cause confusion even to veteran players. 1. You are allowed to reform before you move. 2. If you are a skirmisher you are allowed to reform as many times as you like as long as your maximum distance traveled does not exceed double the movement characteristic. 3. You can do the same thing with Fast Cavalry as long as you do not exceed the movement value. 4. You are able to reform before pivoting on the spot which is a "free move" anyway. Also, and these are qualifying questions I ask to everyone when they had a rules question during game so I hope you don't think I'm singling you out cause that is not my intention: Did you ask your opponent about the rule and what he was doing? Did you ask him to cite the specific rules he was employing to justify his actions? If he did and you disagreed did you seek clarification from a rules judge or offer to dice off to resolve the rules quandary? Other members commenting on this thread: I do not appreciate the bandwagon wolf pack tactics that members of this board just engaged in where they: a. Make accusations of cheating. b. Make references to things being "outside the spirit of OFCC" when the actions taken were not. You are flaming a member of this board with little or no grounds for reason other than speculation. c. Calling things an abuse of the rules when they are blatantly not. I would like to point out the Code of Conduct; Rule 2: Be Friendly and Courteous Everyone wants to have a positive experience while on the Forums - please make sure that you contribute to it. Please do not post anything harassing, threatening, abusive, lewd, or inflammatory. Flaming people, products, or organizations is never acceptable. Neither is trolling. Instead, be friendly, helpful, and supportive. Ordo Fanaticus tries to keep a casual environment and appreciates any help with this. While the opponent was not named (which I appreciate NTK), he is still a member of this boards and active member of the community and people making accusations like that is entirely inappropriate. Especially when the opponent score incredibly high sportsmanship points the entire weekend.
  6. For anyone who is interested in learning Fantasy or getting their hobby jump-started after OFCC, come down to WoW and engage in Game Night. Raindog is starting a low points Escalation league which will culminate in the Raindog's Rampage at the end of the league. I encourage you all to come down and participate. If you don't play fantasy but still want to game, come on down and play at the club!
  7. The hookers were not the ladies dressed to go out on the town. I'm sure their husbands/boyfriends appreciate that everyone equates pretty women in black dresses to prostitutes at a nerd convention. The hookers were the two latino chicks who were wearing very little and looked cracked out that came in for 20-30 seconds and then left after talking to some guy near the door.
  8. Sure Classic, I can post the overall numbers and what not. I can't promise formatting will stay the same however.
  9. If anyone else tells you differently they are wrong and they hate America. Screw them and we hope they catch athlete's foot on their balls.
  10. The first annual Ordo Fanaticus Warhammer Fantasy Open 2014 yielded the following winners! Best Overall - Chris Powell Best General - Jeremy Srofe Best Painted - Ricky Fischer Best Sports - Art Gonzolez Great work everyone! *edit format!
  11. Pegasus models come on 40mm bases. Always have.
  12. People had better PM me tonight if they are showing up and paying for the event that morning - I need to make sure we have enough tables set up. As it stands now we have 21 paid and 4 commits for the day of the event (tomorrow). See you guys then!
  13. Event schedule should have been very last page of the OFCC 2014 Warhammer Fantasy Open Packet. Check in is at 9am but if you get there earlier that would be rather appreciated by the person accepting lists :)
  14. Printing out the packets for the event this week. Be sure to sign up and pay your entrance fee before Friday so that we know how many tables to prepare and packets to print. Don't forget this is a qualifier for the NW Masters and the Event Champion is given a wicked awesome Warhammer!
  15. Good work on the display board Tim. I wish I was confident enough to work with foam to make one like that.
  16. Yes, there will be a rules amendment this weekend after I have read through the book. No, they are a campaign supplement, see here.
  17. In response to the queries I have received: Yes, the Undead Legion rules for a combined Vampire Counts and Tomb Kings army are legal and viable for the OFCC open. I will release an amendment to the Open rules to reflect Nagash hopefully by the beginning of next week (Sept 1). This will include the 50% Lords limitation increase and the availability of Lore of Undeath (as well as other pertinent rules changes). So, having seen the rules for the Undead Legion and the implications of having a 50% Lord allowance, I am withdrawing approval for the Undead Legion as it is a "Campaign" army and not an "official" Games Workshop army. This differs from the Tamurkhan Chaos Dwarfs because GW came out and said that the Legion of Azgorth was a legal and official ruleset for Chaos Dwarfs. The Nagash book seems to be a campaign option much like Storm of Chaos was. I hate to flip flop on a ruling but with less than a month to the Open, but we don't need an added element of chaos to the mix.
  18. Evan, You can't take magic items on your Treeman Ancient. Other than that have fun with it.
  19. That should have been corrected 2 months ago to reflect 2 shots not 3 after we discussed it. My bad.
  20. Yes, 3,000 points allows you to take advantage of the Grand Army option for building your force.
