  3. So I'm working on putting together some Marines, and like the title suggests, I'm wondering if anyone knows what size bits for my pin vice are best when it comes to drilling out gun barrels. Specifically, my questions are: -Best size for drilling out bolter barrels? My current bit seems a little small (KEEP IT CLEAN, GUYS) -Best size for drilling out larger barrels, specifically Multi-Meltas on a Dreadnought? -Drilling out barrels on metal bits, such as the previously mentioned Dreadnought Multi-Melta? Thanks!

  7. I'm a big fan of the GW rules, with the addition that duel-wielding gives you -1 to hit (unless you take a skill to negate it). I do love me some Mordheim though, gonna drop you an email DT! Hopefully I'll be able to join, depending on the day / time.

I don't suppose you also have the FAQs for the 4th ED codicies that were legal for a while, until they got their 5th Ed. version? Specifically, I have a player that wants to use the 4th Edition Tyranid Codex, as opposed to the 5th Ed. one

Friends and I are talking about playing some games of 5th, for nostalgia's sake, so I'm trying to track them down. Thanks!

  12. Awesome, sounds great! Proxies are just fine with me, I'm proxing my Gorger, and my Giant is still only half assembled. What time is good for you sir? I think their "official" miniature night start time is like 6 or 7, but I've got nothing going on past 1:00, so anytime that works for you :)
  13. Looking to get some OFCC practice in. Randomly have Thursday off from work, thought I would head over to Mythic Realms for their minis night and see if anyone wanted to get a game of Fantasy in :)

Hmm, lets see here... -6 Maneaters (already basecoated) -1 Sabertusk (also basecoated) -1 Giant (need to purchase / assemble / paint) -1 Gorger (^ditto) Also need to make / magnetize 2 new movement trays, add static grass to the entire army, and figure out if I'm going to make a proper display board, or stick with / modify my "cork board with painted sand" that I threw together the night before last year. Also: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! Need to get some games in for sure. Not super overwhelming, but I refuse to start on anything until finals are over next week.
  15. Fair enough, thank you for the run down :) . As I've said, I've never played Empire before, I'm only going off of what I've played against and what I've seen online. Really I was just giving my "initial impressions" as someone who could be potentially sitting across from this list on the table.
  16. I say "best" lore because that seems to be the general consensus on "the interwebs". I don't play Empire and have only played against them a couple times, so I couldn't really say which lore is better.
  17. It's not that a level 4 on Light is OP, it's probably just that it's the "best" lore for Empire, even without the big Banishment. As your list stands now with the revisions (which I like very much, BTW; not a push-over, but nothing over the top), a level 4 on Light is just fine. I think the problem before was taking Light on top of all the other goodies, 2x Cannons, Knight bus, etc.
  18. Seems a bit hard for OFCC, IMO. Light magic, 2x Cannons + Hellblaster, big Knight bus... At the very least the warmachine section would probably need to be toned down.
  19. IT'S TOO SMALL TO BE A SPACE STATION! Haha, usually run them 4 wide, SM in the front rank, since the BSB doesn't have a ton of protection.
  20. Tyrant usually runs with the Maneaters, and the Butcher hangs out with the regular Ogres. BSB and Slaughtermaster hang out with the 'Guts, but I don't know if I would consider that a Gut Star.
  21. Sounds great, would love to get some practice in! I know the Glittering Scales / Fencer's Blade combo is supposed to be pretty good, was just trying to stay away from "The Build." Plus the 4++, along with T5 and regaining wound from the lore attribute have done me well in the past. I've honestly haven't messed around with the other magic lores for Ogres very much. I actually think Lore of the Great Maw is really strong for Ogres. I like that +1T and +1S are their own separate spells, as opposed to Wildform, as it forces my opponent to make some choices with their dispel dice. Trollguts is great, and Stubborn is a great signature spell. The level 1 on Heavens is mainly there as a scroll caddy, but Iceshard Blizzard is a really nice for Ogres, and unlike having a level 1 on, say, Beasts, I don't have to chuck a ton of dice at it to make it go off. I also have a chance at getting Comet, if I need it. Truth be told, I've never tried Beasts or Death. I like Heavens quite a bit, but I feel that the combat buffs from 'Maw are better.
  22. Thank you! This list is a little different than what I've been running recently (usually run a bigger block of Leadbelchers), but I've been really wanting to try out a Giant for a while, since I love the model / rules. Same thing with the Gorger.
