  1. Playing around list lists for my Ogre Kingdoms. Was considering just bringing something pretty similar to my "standard" ogre list, but starting seeing how many Stonehorns I could fit in now that the 50% heroes rule is in effect. Toying around with the idea of bringing this to OFCC this, just as something wacky for me: Lords: Slaughtermaster -Lvl 3 Maw -Fencer's Blade -Glittering Scales -Dispel Scroll Heroes: Bruiser -BSB -Crown of Command -Heavy Armor -Encanted Shield -Warrior Bane Hunter -Harpoon Launcher -Stonehorn Hunter -Harpoon Launcher -Stonehorn Core: 9 Ironguts -Full Command -Standard of Discipline 3 Ogres -Standard and Musician -Ironfists 3 Ogres -Standard and Musician -Ironfists Special: Sabertusk Sabertusk Rare: Stonehorn -Harpoon Launcher Stonehorn -Harpoon Launcher Swedish Comp Score = 14 (14.1), if I'm doing my math right. My usual Stubborn "mini-Gutstar," a bunch of chaff and 4 big stompy monsters running around the field, with the ability to throw out some S6 d3 wound shots :) It may or may not be junk, but I thought it could be fun!
  2. Do we know how much the event is going to cost? Also, are the rules for End Times magic going to be available at the event? Or we can just leave out that silliness and play some proper Fantasy
  3. How much is table space if you are not an Ordo Champion?
  4. Price lowered to $220, just so I don't have to ship this!

  6. So I kinda went overboard and impulse-purchased an Dark Elf army over a pretty short amount of time. After having proxied the army up, playing a few games, and putting some paint on some models, I've come to the conclusion that DE are not the army for me; I'm pretty content with playing my Ogres, and the prospect of painting a new army is more daunting a prospect that I anticipated. So I'm looking to sell my army in order to fund some Mordheim projects, buy some board games, and maybe add a few things to my Ogres. Here's what I have: -20 Black Ark Corsairs (5 assembled / partially assembled, 15 on sprue) - $30 -15 Dark Riders / Doomfire Warlocks (partially assembled, all bits to build either DR or 'locks on sprue)- $50 -10 Cold One Knights (Cold Ones assembled, Knights still on sprue)- $35 -2 Reaper Bolt Thrower (metal, assembled, 1 primed, 1 partially painted)- $30 -Army Book - $30 -Battle Magic Cards - $8 Will also include movement trays and Terra Hydra toy I've been using for my DE Hydra if you want (Hydra will need some finagling to fit on a proper monster base) for anyone who wants the lot Also looking for Stonehorns! Need at least 2, but looking for 4 of then :) Have pics of everything, send me your email address if you want them ("file was too big for upload")
  7. Can't say I'm happy with these rumors, although final judgement reserved until blah blah, etc. As someone who went back to 5th edition 40k after Escalation / 7th Ed, hopefully I'll have better luck being able to find some 8th Ed WHFB players of things go south for 9th Ed :/
  8. Updated the list, took off a few things I picked up, added a few more things I'm looking for. Cheers!
  9. I'll be there, requesting the day off work tonight.
  10. So I'm taking a break from painting WHFB and I'm working on some of my Mordheim warband. I've talked with a few of my friends and there are 3 or 4 of us that are interested in getting some Mordheim up and running on this side of the river. Dates / times / location to be determined, just gauging interest at this point. Possibly a weekday evening at Mythic Realms. Working on some very light "house rules" to fix some of the common issues (2 weapon fighting, slings, armor).
  11. Thank you for checking, it is much appreciated! Was able to get all of the Beastmen arms I needed from splinx today. Thank again sir! Still looking for the other stuff! Going to pick up a box of Clanrats tomorrow for Skaven, so any of those other bits would be appreciated :)
  12. Apologies sir, all I was able to see from your link was some Marauder sprues. I may have missed them though as I scrolled through the images. I'm meeting up with splinx tomorrow to trade for some Beastmen arms, if I need any more after that I'll be sure to drop you and PourSpelur a line :) Thanks all!
  13. Howdy all! Decided to take a little break from my "big" Warhammer armies and work on some stuff for Mordheim. Looking to finish up some of my "Mordheim Baddies" warbands, along with start up Skaven and Cult of the Possessed. Here's what I'm looking for: Beastmen: -A Minotaur. Avatars of War one would be sweet, but I know that may not be realistic. Current GW one would be fine (sword / club combo prefered). Would consider goofy older metal version, or possible an alternative (that is NOT Reaper) Skaven: -2 Stormvermin bodies -A bunch (10-ish) club hand weapons from the Clanrats kit. - 2 pair of fighting claws from Night Runner -Cheiftan from Island of Blood set -Plague Priest from Plague Furnace -Rat Ogre. IoB, or old metal Mordheim one. Undead: -A handful of GW zombies. 4 or 5 would be perfect. Cult of the Possessed: -Stuff to make Possessed / Mutants. Forsaken bits would be great. Empire stuff, for conversions: -Pistols from Pistoleer kit. A left hand / right hand pistol set would be ideal, but loose pistols would probably work. -Flagellant torsos, maybe heads -A few loose (i.e. not attached to hand) / scabbard swords (4 or 5, maybe more) -Empire Battle Wizard kit (on sprue or unassembled) Orc and Goblins: -5 or so Battle for Skull Pass Goblin Archers Whew! Now, what do I have to trade? Nothing super exciting, mostly bits and some loose figures. For figures, I have (I'm being loose with the number of figures, I can get you an exact count): Ogres! Assembled, a few painted: -5? Bulls -4? Ironguts -4? Leadbelchers 12-15ish Dwarf Warriors with Great Weapons. Assembled and primed. Full command, I believe Some 40K loose figures: 3? Eldar Guardians, assembled and primed white. 1 Dire Avenger with banner-thingy 1 Black Reach Dreadnought (1 arm magnetized) A handful of Space Marines (on sprue) I've also got bits! Lots of Ogre stuff from battalion boxses, mainly, including full sets of Irongut arms / weapons on sprue. Also have bits from: -Dark Elves -Some Beastmen -Giant kit! -Space Marines -Some Dark Angels / Blood Angels / Death Company stuff (mostly pre-6th/7th ed stuff) Would love to meet up in Vancouver to swap some stuff, work willing, or toss bits in the mail. Might consider meeting up in Portland / half way for big exchange, or I'll be at Guardian on Wednesday for their IRS Sucks sale. Cheers!
  14. That might not be a bad idea. If nothing else, Orcs look fairly easy to convert using stock GW models (just chop off the weapons), plus having 2 teams around is kinda a goal anyway.
  15. Thank you all for the advice! TJP, those Norse look awesome! I'll probably end up being lame and buying something premade, heh. Just need to decide between Nurgle and Choas Dwarfs. But I will keep you updated when I get up and running, would love to have someone show me the finer points of the game.
  16. Thank you sir! I appreciate the tip. I've been looking at comixininos, and I really like their Chaos Dwarf / Nurgle range, but I'll be sure to check out Impact as well. I guess I'm more curious as to what other stuff I'll need to actually purchase to start playing (since I'll have to buy the stuff piece-meal), aside from the teams? I've been looking at mats, and everything I've seen has been either puzzle-style or "plastic," which I'm assuming is like a laminated mat? is there anything like a Frontline Gaming Fat Mat for BB? Also assuming I'll need dice and a passing ruler, maybe a dugout.
  17. Howdy all! So recently, as my Fantasy Ogres are 99% done and and dragging my feet with my Dark Elves, I've been loafing around on the computer and have been revisiting some of my old Steam games, one of them being Blood Bowl. While I'll admit there are times when I do know why certain things happen in the game, I'm really enjoying it. I've always loved the flavor of BB, and it's what always pops to mind whenever I hear someone mention "Fantasy Football." I had considered getting into the actual mini game some time ago; at the time BB was still supported by GW, and the prospect of picking up the starter set seemed really appealing to me: I would get the pitch and all the tokens / counts / whathaveyou that I would need, along with 2 teams to help "entice" my friends to try it out, since they wouldn't have to buy any minis. Now that it's no longer supported, it seems the set has sky-rocketed in price. Currently the only complete set on ebay is going for like $250, which is too rich for my blood. As someone who has never really seen an actual game of BB being played, I'm curious what all do I need to get, with the idea of being able to play at home? Teams obviously (I'm eyeing Chaos Dwarfs myself, and would like to have a "spare" team for friends), along with the pitch, etc. Where should I look outside of GW for this stuff? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Any idea if this will be a qualifier for the 2016 US masters?
  19. I purchases a Chromebook for my wife a while ago. At the time, we didn't have smart phones, and I needed her to do her Pinteresting on something other than my computer so I could waste my time looking at magical cards and little plastic warriors. It was good, for what it was. We spent like $200, and it was a great Facebook / Pinterest box, basically a tablet with a keyboard. From what I remember, it had a fairly limited word processor on it, so it might be better to use something like Google Docs instead.
