most EU places wont subtract it (FW for example) it is built in to the cost. In the UK the only way to get it back is to have the product, and documentation, in hand at the airport.
It is pretty much the same for me. I buy stuff in the USA, pay your sales taxes, and when I cross the border (and exceeding my limit - C$550 Battlefoam order last week) I pay Canadian sales taxeS on top.
