  1. Hello there, Really cool paint job, I like it!
  2. Hello there, On a side note, I've lurked in the forums a bit here and there and read a lot about what I'll call "list scores." Is that the Swedish Comp thing that I hear about? Is that a way to "grade" the army list to show it's not some OP / goofy / cheesy list? I recall when I used to play way back when things were broken down by percentages in your army comp for tournament scoring (i.e. troops should have most %, elites fewest, etc.). Anyone please help me out and comment? Stay safe, don
  3. Hello there, Copy that, thank you. As stated, the only change would be maybe one heavy weapon in one squad... I think I'm 30 points under at the moment so shouldn't affect anything. Also, I *will* have a proxy model, as my work schedule negated me getting everything fully modeled and/or painted. But I'm going to work hard on doing what I can prior to Saturday, just depends on my work callouts. I think I'll have most of the army painted and the proxy is clearly representative of what it should be; I just couldn't find a certain model piece in my bits box :( Looking forward to actually gaming, thanks again for hosting this event and allowing me to participate! Stay safe, don
  4. Hello there, If I have a last-minute change to my army list (like swapping one heavy weapon in a squad for another), do you want me to submit the new list or is it acceptable to just bring the updated list to the tournament? Stay safe, don
  5. Hello there, Was at DTG today and couldn't find the doors n' stuff. Would you please let me know where you last put them? Thanks and stay safe, don
  6. Hello there, I'll stop by this week and pick up the Realm of Battle board that isn't on any of the tables... I think 3 are on the tables, 1 isn't. If folks want me to move more of the boards away please lemme know... don't wanna force feed you boards. Stay safe, don
  7. I registered. Everyone's patience is appreciated, as I have barely played 40k. But on the flip side I'm a mellow opponent to play against! Stay safe, don
  8. spring quarter instruction starts, so i'm out. on the flip side, i *DID* register for your guys' / gals' tournament on the 18th so there's that. stay safe, don
  9. Looks really nice and the dip looks like it worked out well for you
  10. Hey, no problem... glad you can use them!
  11. I put your baggie o' bits with your profile name on it in the back, along with (2) more foam trays for Eli. Stay safe, don
  12. Hello there, I realize that they're not gargoyle wings but in my bits box for 'nids I seem to have a bunch of Forge World wing sections, I think for tyranid warriors? I Google-Foo'd "tyranid wings" and they look like the Forge World ones to me. Anyhoo, if the gargoyle wings don't pan out and these might work, please lemme know. Stay safe, don
  13. Hello there, Perhaps a vengeance weapon base and some drop pod fins? Add some clear piping or whatever "void shield-y" effect inside? Stay safe, don
  14. Okey doke, I'll put them in a tiny bag and mark it Jayne_Cobbb and drop it off at DTG in the back by the modeling table. I'm hoping to go into town today to drop off a saddle n' stuff for wifey poo if FedEx ever gets here. If it doesn't get there today, my apologies... I'm working all week (8pm-7am) so will try and drop it off to DTG one of those nights if tonight goofs up for some reason. Stay safe and thanks, don
  15. Yeah, they have right hands attached to them. How about the grav gun (right hand) and the (4) naked melta guns, that way you can use them however you want?
  16. Okey doke, I'll look at the schedule. Pretty sure I'm off, I'll check to see if wifey poo is horsing around.
  17. Sorry, looks like the sternguard heavy flamer is a no go. I found a right hand grav gun, 3 right hand melta guns and 4 blank melta guns however. Would any of those work?
  18. Oh gotcha... sternguard heavy flamer. Checking now...
  19. Melta and grav guns for troops, I will look. "Stereo guard heavy flamed bits" do you mean heavy flamer bits for troops or vehicles? And assuming for Imperial Guard...
  20. Patrol Procedures for the Criminal Justice program.
  21. Hello there, Again, thanks for the perspectives and the feedback. Sounds like a larger points base will let me experience (a) more of the rules system and (b) more tactical scenarios within games so I can get up to speed. I'll start with army lists at 1000 points just because it's a round number and I'll be able to divvie up all my different armies and get some good, basic formations started. And since I can always go bigger points-wise, once I get a few 1000 point games under my belt I'll be able to do tourney-level points games. Appreciate the feedback immensely, thanks again. Stay safe, don P.S. I was just reminded that I'll be instructing at Whatcom Community College on Tuesday nights for spring quarter... but I'm gonna game on Saturdays until Tuesdays clear, as long as wifey is off horsing. Appreciate the support.
  22. Hello there, Looking for (2) Rhino side doors, any condition (they're going on Chaos Rhinos). To be specific, these are the outer door hatches that are part of the outer hull when attached. I have a super huge amount of bits for a bunch of different 40k armies so if I can trade anything, that'd be peachy. If cold, hard cash works better that's fine too. Please reply to this post. Doing it locally instead of in the Rogue Trader forum; my apologies if that's frowned upon... just lemme know and I'll repost. Thanks and stay safe, don
  23. Hello there, Thanks for the feedback thus far, it's appreciated. For clarification: * I don't care if an army is painted or not. I'm just saying from a strategic point of view concerning the hobby, if I have an army list I'm more motivated to paint said models. And thus be closer to fielding an actual painted army! If that makes sense. Currently I just pick an army in the shelf rotation, roll a d6 for unit type then roll a d6 for unit type... blam, that's the unit I paint next. Kind fun at the randomness but I could easily work towards an actual painted army going the strategic route. * I don't care how units perform either... but the few games I played it seemed to me that there were SOOOOOOOOO many friggin' rules that were technical. And that make me consider playing smaller, faster games to get more reps of all these nuances. My army lists will all have a storied theme, damn be how they actually play. For example: I play Dark Angels as my Space Marine choice. 'nuff said. ha ha ha So if anyone thinks that 500 points is too few of points to get clean reps in and learn the nuances of the game, please lemme know. If 750 or 1000 points is better to do that, so be it... either way it'll help me (a) learn to build army lists; (b) get to PLAY and learn rules and tactics; © give me motivation to field painted things instead of the "grey wave." More feedback please and thank you tons so far for the posts! Stay safe, don
  24. School meeting but looking forward to attending future Tuesday game nights!
  25. Hello there, If something falls through, I have the Eisenhorn trilogy, the Ravenor trilogy and all of the Horus Heresy books save the "Black Library special overpriced hard-to-find" books... so I have like 30 of them or so. Holler if you're ever interested. Stay safe, don
