  1. Hello there, I have (7) of the smaller "Eldar Transfers" and (1) of the big "Eldar Transfer Sheet." They're just sitting in my bits box so if you can use them for your hobby, wonderful! Happy to help. The former have yellow transfers in the upper left, and the hearts in the upper right. The latter have the yellow eye thingies in the middle and all the falcon looking stuff in the middle right... if that helps you know what sheets I'm talking about. Send me a mailing address and I'll ship them off if you'd like. Stay safe, don
  2. Gareth, I'll put em in a sammich bag with your name on em and leave them at DTG. Most likely won't be able to drop them off until next Tuesday but obviously if I'm able to earlier I shall. Stay safe, don
  3. Hello there, The bitz are in a baggy behind the counter at DTG. Stay safe, don
  4. Mr. Graham, I don't have the trades of Southern Bastards, just the issues sorry. But I do have the first trade of Lazarus... I can leave it at BPD for pickup on Friday when I go in or bring it to DTG next Tuesday? Holler, don
  5. Hello there, Okay I found the following in my orks bitz box: * (1) metal mega nob missing his left arm. Right arm (separate) is there. He's even on a base * (1) metal mega nob missing his face and both arms Want me to drop em off at DTG? Or...? Don't worry about the trades, happy to help! Stay safe, don
  6. Hello there, I think I have 2 mega nobz in my orks bitz box. But they're probably missing arms or something, hence being in my bitz box. And I know they're metal. Those interest you or do you only want complete models? Just lemme know, happy to help. Stay safe, don
  7. TW_Haines, I can put them in a sammich baggie and drop them off tomorrow (Tuesday) before I go instruct at the college... so between 4pm and 5pm hopefully? If not then, then soon. But the sammich bag will have TW_Haines written on it. Don't worry about things like payment... if it helps your army build, then by all means it beats them sitting in my orks bitz box, eh? Happy to help ya out! If this really strikes you and makes you feel funny, I'm sure we can trade bitz or something, I dunno. Like I said, happy to help the local gaming scene if I can. Stay safe, don
  8. Hello there, With regards to diversity being in decline, I humbly submit that diversity is truly an aspect of the environment: garage/"fun" or tournament/"serious." Using analogies from the sporting world or competitive events in other disciplines/topics, what wins is usually seen more frequently. I would assume that 40k at the tournament level is no different... thus, certain armies/combinations are no doubt seen more frequently as the end result (i.e. victories) is a more desired outcome. With regards to garage/"fun" gaming, I bet if someone could actually gather accurate information you'd see more diversity... postulating that folks playing in this environment are "in it" more for the self-rewarding / intrinsic value system things like pride in one's army, fluff, storylines, emotional attachment to the army, etc. Wins and losses matter less? Way back in the day when I played competitively (3rd edition), I remember Eldar being not that great. And the tournament scene reflected this. Times change based upon rule sets, etc. and I would assume that during my absence in 4th, 5th, 6th and now 7th with regards to tournament scenes I would be able to guess just based upon event army representation what codexes and/or armies were stronger in those rule sets. But now that I play for "fun" I could give a rip how my Dark Angels do... if I can hold my own, so be it. If I get tabled well then I guess I'll just have to learn how to be a better field general! Stay safe, don
  9. Everyone have an enjoyable time and have fun! (day off but still instructing at the college... only 3 more weeks!) I'm almost done painting up my latest batch o' minis: 35 chaos cultists. Stay safe, don
  10. Hello there, Sorry, I'm not sure if these are the ones you're looking for. I have (9) backpacks that look like this: * they all have little exhaust pipes coming off of them * there's a big boiler part * there's a smaller boiler part Are those what you're looking for? If so, like I said I have (9) of them and you're welcome to have them just let me know. Stay safe, don
  11. Current titles I pull that merit mentioning (in no order): Lazarus Southern Bastards Wytches (really creepy, which usually ain't my bag) Outkast (creepy, see above) Batman - Scott Snyder's the man Detective Comics Drifter - kinda adapting to this one, the pace and the storyline are a bit much to chew on I liked the first run on Rat Queens, too and Saga held my interest for a while, too. I have a TON of trade paperbacks if you wanna borrow older stuff: Sandman; Fables; Walking Dead; Y the Last Man; Strangers in Paradise; Thief of Thieves
  12. Tactics? Get em in and have a go. Whether that's green tide, speed freaks, whatever... the fun part is that they just wanna scrap. Get em in, have a go.
  13. ... off work but teach at the college at 1700 hours. Chores and workout til then. /sadface
  14. Disciples of the Machine God. Behold - the Cult Mechanicus approaches. A grim procession of augmented horrors and soulless automata, they bring not salvation, no message of peace; they are not interested in conversion to their creed. Their purpose is death, recorded and measured for later assimilation. Marching implacably from world to world, scorching the skies with the colossal energies they harness, the Tech-Priests of the Cult Mechanicus hum their machine-code prayers in bursts of eerie static as they drain the very bioelectricity itself from all who stand in their way. A sinister display of absolute, unshakeable faith wielding the most advanced technology in the Imperium - dare you oppose the will of the Omnissiah? This eighty-page, full-colour hardback book contains: Details, backstory and history of the Cult Mechanicus - their formation, motivations and purpose, with timelines giving you all you need to know on their place in the universe; Colour schemes and heraldry for Cult Mechanicus a number of different forge worlds, with uniform information for a selection of legendary Kastelan Robot Maniples of the Legio Cybernetica; Rules for a large range of Adeptus Mechanicus miniatures - Tech-Priest Dominus, Kataphron Battle Servitors(Breachers and Destroyers), Kastelan Robots and Electro-Priests (Fulgurite and Corpuscarii), plus several Cult Mechanicus formations; The Canticles of the Omnissiah - a special rule that allows the Cult Mechanicus to channel their faith into acts of destruction.
  15. read Southern Bastards, pretty good my favorite pull at the moment is Lazarus. Absolutely stunning.
  16. Looks pretty big to me... but I see what you're saying. Tried to add pics w/Rhinos for scale. Maybe not "bigger" but certainly "huskier."
  17. Eli, the next Tuesday night I have off won't be until after mid-June. :(
  18. I'm playing this game that I've been playing for 20 years now... it's not as fun as it used to be but at least I find it rewarding. The game is called "work" and sadly it supercedes more entertaining games like 40k. /sadface
  19. Hello there, Just curious, but do folks submit these types of rules questions/thought processes to GW when they come up for hopes that they address it at some point? Or no? I think, if the Black Library page is still up-to-date, you can send an email to Gamefaqs@gwplc.com
  20. Hello there, The rulebook you have is obsolete, sorry. Some nice fluff in it, though and some cool pix. The collection of 3 books you referenced includes the new rulebook aptly titled "The Rules," I believe. Has a dark eldar evil surgeon wackadoo guy on the cover. And yes, there's a mini rulebook that you can buy if you don't wanna buy the trio (one book is fluff, one book is about the hobby if I recall). Not a noob question, I just got back from 3rd edition so welcome back. Stay safe, don
  21. The guardsman has been found, huzzah! I triple-checked my Tau, my marines and the gaming area... even moved around some of the matting and such to no avail. I'm happy that he has been found, whew. Again, I'm very appreciative of all your guys' assistance and friendliness at the game... really made it more enjoyable. But I'm kinda bummed now that I'm starting to game a little bit more that Eli and Brad are traveling away soon. /sadface
  22. I was just looking at some 40k stuff prior to an Apocalypse game and thought I'd post it up... I defer to pretre's overall "in the know" on these boards. I'm just a fan and thought folks would be interested in the news. pretre's posts are much better because of (a) images and (b) knowing how to do linkies to direct areas rather than scroll-fests
