  1. Gone Girl. 8.5 / 10 Suspend your inner "here's how this could go" and such and you'll enjoy it. I'm a cop so was intrigue by the investigation / whodunit? premise of the movie. Very enjoyable in that sense. I had not read the book.
  2. I'll play a game, sure! I have done ZERO painting or converting since summer however so my apologies on the blandness of it all. Been super busy with everything but 40k. Probably an after-dinner-hours type of meeting, right?
  3. Hello there, Original post edited to show item 4 going to FriendlyCommissar. Hoping to deliver it all to DTG this coming Tuesday. Stay safe, don
  4. ... dball and i love the descriptions!
  5. Mr. Graham, Copy that, thank you. I'll probably do my best to bring stuff down on Tuesday the 21st.
  6. VonVilkee, copy that... original post edited. I'm off soon so will just bring stuff to DTG.
  7. Hello there, Dawson says he is willing to "ship if it's not too big a hassle." My translation of that is if it's inexpensive, as he's pretty frugal with his funds. Yarbicus is now on point for the Tribble, with second dibs on the Ash figure. Fix has staked claim to the Mal figure. I can drop that off at DTG and would prefer to see you in person, since we haven't been able to game yet! :( I'll edit the original post to show those two items gone. Stay safe, don
  8. Hello Warhamsters, My son Dawson subscribes to this thing called "Loot Crate" and every month he gets stuff. Some stuff he likes and keeps, some stuff doesn't tickle his fancy and he tries to give it good homes. He and I were talking and he figured that some of you fine folks probably like some of this stuff and thus he'd like to give it a good home. If you're interested, please post here which item you'd like so I can drop it off at DTG or BPD or whatever for you. He doesn't mind folks getting more than one thing but will give preference to a different person if someone who already got one thing asks for another, if that makes sense. Spread the wealth kinda thing. If you're curious as to what things look like, Google-fu is your friend. You've seen my horrible attempts at posting pics. ITEM 1 Yarbicus 10/12 ITEM 2 Fix 10/12 ITEM 3 An Ash action figure from the motion picture Alien, sealed. The figure case reads Funco ReAction figure. Yarbicus if no one else has a fancy. 10/12 ITEM 4 FriendlyCommissar 10/18 ITEM 5 VonVilkee 10/14 ITEM 6 Bag of watermelon Pop Rocks. ITEM 7 Halo Dark Horse Escalation #1-3 digital edition comic code. Anyhow, he was thinking that some of you might like these items so please let me know if you'd like them. Thanks and stay safe, don
  9. i work on 10-14 but have 23 days off after that so i'm gonna try and play 40k here and there
  10. Mr. Graham, Copied your last. The 3rd is done and I'll knock out the 4th before my vacation is over. I can bring them down whenever you need as long as I get a lead time. If you need 4' x 8' sheets of OSB board I have a bunch of those you can borrow for the tourney if you need them, too. And I think I have (6) folding tables that you can use, too. Happy to help out, just lemme know. Stay safe, don
  11. Hello there, The 2 boards at DTG you are welcome to use (duh). I have a 3rd board finished at my house that you are welcome to use. I have a 4th board that I just need to flock and you are welcome to use that. Just gotta get off my @$$ and finish it. It was a victim of the Apocalypse game being canceled and I lost steam to finish. I have vacation (again) from work from Oct 15th through November 6th so I will finish it. When I complete board four do you want me to bring boards 3 and 4 down to DTG or...?
  12. anyone able to play 40k early? like right-after-the-store-opens early?
  13. The actor portraying Chris Kyle, Bradley Cooper, really took this project to heart... not too long after the project's start Kyle was murdered. Cooper met with Kyle's family and felt a tremendous responsibility to accurately portray Chris in the film. Supposedly Clint Eastwood is not going to "Lone Survivor" the movie and remain true... but we'll see.
  14. Copy that, thanks for the replies! Exit Don a wiser man! Stay safe, don
  15. Hello, For those of you that play Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Pazio's having their Great Golem Sale until I think November 2nd. A lot of items are marked down a lot: I just picked up a bunch of adventure paths for $ 5, some campaign stuff for $ 3 and there's even $ 1 books. Stay safe, don
  16. Hello there, Was wondering if the local gamers / hobbyists would ever use a 3D printer. Now I'm not talking about some hulking, $ 10000 behemoth but more of a "personal-sized" one. You folks are pretty tech savvy. I'm not. I could get one and let folks use it for materials cost or a small fee or some extra pieces of what you're making, whatever. For some reason I just saw a 3D printer article and this popped into my head. Thoughts? To reiterate: looking at this from more of a "help the community with some projects" rather than "get wealthy from charging people." And if I learn how to use the thing and be able to make stuff, even better. Please feel free to post your thoughts, good or bad. I'd like to add that my track record with the local community is more "helper" than "robber baron," if again you're wondering why this post came up. I just sometimes get stuff like this in my head and seek perspective. Stay safe, don
  17. Great job everyone and I certainly hope y'all had a blast!
  18. well done, sir... i really like the wings on the front; please tell me how you got the subtle highlights. is that like gray shading?
  19. I ended up going with the Dungeon x 2 If any Warhamsters need to borrow it when it shows, it looks like it's pretty packable so I'd be happy to loan it out. Our pathfinder party meets only a couple times a month. Stay safe, don
  20. Pumpkinhead, Yeah, I'm just getting around to "green stuffing" joins and such... the tail section has a noticeable seam as well. Newer-built models won't have that stuff, hopefully. My son builds stuff so fast though but I'm hoping to slow him down with the attentions to detail like that. He did the big sword so I'll pass along the transition stuff, thank you very much! He told me the following for the wings/arms: the torso section had 2 "holes" on each side for arms. Wings in the upper one, arm in the lower one and another arm in between. Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated!
  21. Hey this is Don's kid sadly he can NOT make it to the game and he says "very very sorry". Also Fix, I should have sent you a mail on the forums. Have fun warhamsters
  22. 2k around 1800, copy that. Thank you very much for the opportunity, it's much appreciated. I'd like to say that I'll have some more stuff painted up, but I won't. Finishing the shed I'm building for a buddy so won't have time. Sorry.
  23. Hello there, I would love to play on Tuesday the 16th, sir if you'd like to. Don't do it just because Jim said to, I won't take offense! Please let me know the points level and the time and I will make up an army list. Stay safe, don
  24. Hello there, I'm sure smarter folks will chime in but the way I understand it: * your bike squad jinks in the opponent's shooting phase * your bike squad gets charged * you want to use your bike's flamer weapons... so... Wouldn't this be the "wall of death" rule wherein you get d3 hits on the unit with each flamer template weapon?
