  1. Hello there, We were training with Glock 17T models. Methinks 17T is the actual code for the weapon system. Stay safe, don
  2. Hello there, I recently purchased the Sentinels of Terra codex. Tossing out some information in case folks are interested. The following information is a bare bones, "here's what you get for your hard-earned dollars." Please note that there are no play-test comments, as I unfortunately do not get to play 40k at the moment due to work scheduling and life. And it does bear noting that this entire book is about the 3rd Company of the Imperial Fists. Pages 4 to 35: fluff on the 3rd Company of the Imperial Fists Pages 36 to 47: pictures of Games Workshop's Imperial Fists models Pages 49 and 50: specific rules and wargear for the 3rd Company Pages 51 to 71: different missions. Apocalypse (1), Cities of Death stratagems (7), Planetstrike stratagems (10), Altar of War missions (3), Echoes of War missions (6) Stay safe, don
  3. Hello there, Thank you for the kind offer, but I actually kept the last two codices' slipcovers that I purchased: Crimson Slaughter and Sentinels of Terra. Appreciate the kind words, thank you very much. Stay safe, don
  4. I hate it when I come up with a seemingly decent idea AFTER the fact... lol. And I don't know why I dislike slipcovers... I remove them from literally all my books when I get them. I'm sure there's something neurotic going on there.
  5. Hello there, I posted a similar post in the "Rogue Trading" section but also thought I'd ask the local gamers. I've purchased every new 40k codex that has released thus far. Sadly, their slipcovers have been getting recycled... and now of course I was thinking that if I had kept them I could make a cool display collage or whatnot for my gaming room. Ack! So, if anyone has any of the slipcovers from any of the new 40k codices and you don't want them, I'll happily buy / trade / menial tasks for them. Please let me know and thanks in advance for your consideration! Stay safe, don
  6. Hello there, Thanks for the kind words, folks and I'm really glad that you all liked the class. Be happy to do a follow-up class or a "phase 2" or whatever the group needs. Here for the team if anyone needs anything, especially when it comes to educating / safety / tactics / etc. Stay safe, don
  7. Hello there, Long shot at best, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, eh? If anyone has any of the new 40k codex slipcovers, please contact me. I'll happily buy them from you. Sadly, all the codices that I've purchased thus far have had their slipcovers tossed in the recycling... ack! Thinking of maybe putting them up as decorations. Please let me know if you want a few bucks or some 40k trade or whatnot. Thanks and stay safe, don
  8. Hello there, My apologies, as I'm sure one or more of you have already answered this. Since I've been moved to night shift I'm actually getting some painting done and would like to post pics to get some feedback from the local gaming group. 1. I have an old, crappy digital camera... the photos don't need to be super up close, do they? 2. I can just attach files like a normal computer thingiemabobber, right? Or I thought someone said to use some other program or something. Obviously, a lot of my computer issues are "PICNIC" errors. That's "Problem In Chair, Not In Computer" for those in the know. Any help is appreciated. Stay safe, don
  9. Hello there, My mom's in Israel as we speak now, too! Small world! She went with her church group... if you see a 70 year old Korean lady, say hello. Dunno if there's a lot of them in Israel at the moment! Stay safe and have a great time! don
  10. Hello there, I'm just curious... "normally" do folks just get a ruleset and their army's codex and expect their opponent to do the same? Seems like it'd cut those costs dramatically. Now, for folks like myself who get it all... yeah, that's a lot of cash for some books. But (a) I like the fluff; (b) my kid likes different armies and © I can happily help folks that don't have the various codices or whatnot by loaning them mine. I also like getting the various inspirations on paint jobs, scenery, basing ideas, etc. that the codices have. And, coming from someone who left after 3rd edition... wasn't a long-standing complaint by the gamer base that codices and such weren't release quickly enough? Now it seems like since releases are quicker and such folks don't like that either. I'd be psyched that more stuff is coming out... I don't have to get it all but it'd give me hope that for example a tyranids codex that wasn't updated for a long time got released. Hope that makes sense. Stay safe, don
  11. Hello there, Depending on the size of the group and everyone's understanding of the information provided, I don't see why we couldn't get through it in two or three hours. But then again, if folks are "hey, this is easy to understand!" then it could be quicker. Stay safe, don
  12. Hello there sir, At approximately 1230 hours I dropped off the sammich baggie o' bases at Dark Tower Games. They're behind the counter. Hope they work. Stay safe, don
  13. Hello there, Please note that I did *NOT* have a chance to drop them off yesterday, as I got called in for overtime. My apologies. I have them in my vehicle and will drop them off as soon as possible... I know for a fact that I need to go into Bellingham on Wednesday the 19th so it will happen at the latest then. Again, my apologies. Stay safe, don
  14. Hello there, I put (10) small square bases with diagonal slots in a sammich bag with a post it note marked "MUNKIE" in it. I will put this sammich bag at Dark Tower Games today when I come into town. Probably sometime after 6pm. The bases have "Reaper" marked on the bottom so I don't think they're authentic Games Workshop slotta bases... my apologies. If they work, awesome. If they don't, please feel free to lemme know and I'll pick them back up or you can give them to a needy person. Stay safe, don
  15. Hello there, I doubt I can be in attendance (go figure, eh?) but if someone needs a bit or bunch from the following kinds, lemme know and I'd be happy to try and find them and drop them off at Dark Tower Games for you: * Space Marines * Space Wolves * Tau * Eldar * Tyranids * Orks (very limited selection) * Chaos * Necrons (very limited selection) Stay safe, don
  16. Hello there, Ah, thank you very much. If for some reason that sale falls through please don't hesitate to contact me, as I'd happily make the purchase. Thanks and stay safe, don
  17. Hello there, I like Litko's stuff myself... http://www.litko.net/categories/Movement-Trays/ Stay safe, don
  18. Hello there, I'm sorry, I'm not sure what SPF means by the previous poster... but if you still have this and are looking to sell it still, please let me know. Stay safe, don
  19. Hello there, The details have been confirmed: NOON on Saturday, March 22nd at the Bellingham Police Department's training room. Plenty of parking on the back side of the police department (505 Grand Avenue), which will be C Street. There is a man gate and I'll have it propped open. Go through the gate and take a hard right... you'll see the double glass doors of the training building. I will do my best to leave a trail of crumbs to help. Stay safe, don
  20. Hello there, Basically two "big" ranges: Plantation Rifle Range (down on Samish) and Custer Gun Club (off of Birch Bay Lynden Road up north). And a ton of gravel pits. Stay safe, don
  21. Hello there, Update as of 03-09-2014. Mr. Williams is planning on removing the 2 tiny tables near the front glass since no one uses them. Going to go with a different shelving system so products can be grouped in similar areas (i.e. all the 40k stuff HERE, all the WarmaHordes stuff THERE, etc.). Moving (2) tabletop gaming tables to the main area so 40k and such can be on display near the product. There will be a small 4'x4' table attached near the price register so employees can game from behind the counter and still be readily identifiable to non-regulars as employees. The glass case to the right of the register (looking at the register) will be moved to the right to accommodate this table. With regards to the gaming room, Mr. Williams was quite emphatic that there was never any thought in changing the space and not having it as a gaming area. If you enter the gaming room, the tables to the right are going to be changed up into more-useable stuff rather than tables no one uses. Keeping stock levels of gaming stuff on par with what sells and perhaps will do something like 10% off for stuff they have to order for the customer. Some of this is occurring tonight after his shift, the other stuff is going to occur over the next month or two. Seemed pretty straight forward. I told him that it's his business and he should run it as such in order to keep in business. I ordered the Sentinels of Terra codex and the Crimson Slaughter codex from him. On a related note my son and I visited Mugu Games today down in Everett and they have all GW products at 20% off, so there's gotta be some wiggle room on pricing unless Mugu Games moves a TON of product. Which, judging by the stocks maybe they do (/shrug). Stay safe, don
  22. Hello there, Just tossing out a reminder post that the handgun safety class that y'all requested will be held on Saturday, March 22nd. I will finalize the time but unless there is huge opposition let's plan on noon at the Bellingham Police Department's training room, which is accessed off of C Street. I'll keep the gate open with a "police training" sign. No equipment needed. Kids, spouses, significant others, whatever are welcome. If you have questions, comments or concerns please look on the Bellingham Warhamsters forums for the thread titled "firearm safety classes offered" from a while back. Stay safe, don P.S. If everyone for some reason is gonna bail, please let me know so I don't have to get all the gear squared away, the location, etc. etc.
  23. Hello there, I don't want to sound like a jerk but it'll probably type out that way. It's not "show FRIENDS," it's "show BUSINESS." I get that Mr. Williams, a businessman, has economic interests that he needs to tend to. Totally supportive of that and do my best to purchase kits, paints, supplies and all the codices and such from Dark Tower Games. Would support the gaming room for local 40k gamers as well, because obviously having the business survive is a necessary component to having the game room. However, business comes to the other side of the table, too. If I can get $ 1000 worth of models off of Ebay for $ 300, I'm sorry but no amount of "you should spend money local" is going to change me pulling the trigger on saving $ 700. Every. Single. Time. I think the world of Dark Tower Games and would like to think that Mr. Williams and I have never had beef or problems... and thus, I concertedly try my best to support the shop. But again, his economics aren't the only ones in play here. Mr. Williams has a core group that are willing to help out in various ways, as these posts attests. If he takes suggestions or assistance and can keep the gaming room going, wonderful. If not, that's his right and folks will have to adapt. Stay safe, don
  24. Hello there, A liquor license is a HUGE undertaking that requires a ton of commitment from the vendor, FYI: Liquor License ApplicationsIn order to sell alcoholic beverages at an eating or drinking establishment or at a special occasion within the City of Bellingham, a State liquor license is required. The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) issues the license only after receiving input from the City, and each application is investigated individually. To apply for a license, see the Applicant FAQ's on the WSLCB website. The process typically requires 45 days from date of application (up to 60 days if applying in an Alcohol Impact Area). Following is a general outline of the process followed once a Liquor License application is received at the City of Bellingham: Review by Bellingham Police, Building Services, Finance and Fire Departments. Review includes checking business license and registration, background check, permitting, fire safety and occupancy. Review by Whatcom County Health Department Approval by the Mayor's Office following all other reviews and approvals. Application is returned to the WSLCB for issuance of license. If a department needs additional time to accomplish their investigation, the City is able to request a “commitment term” from the WSCLB that requires the applicant to fulfill outstanding obligations to the City of Bellingham before they are able to obtain approval for their liquor license. All investigations within the City happen concurrently with the WSCLB’s license review process. See Applicant FAQ's for more information on that process.
