Are Eldar players upset about having to buy a whole new codex so soon that "potentially" could be just be a bunch of nerfs?

Actually I found out that Litko sells clear ones. The problem is with shipping they are around 15 bucks. All you have to do is just put them on after the model is completely done.

Has their been any confirmation that this is a replacement codex?

I have seen people paint the cockpit windows as the same color as the rest of the model, boy does that look bad, not a fan.

I don't paint my skimmer bases either, in fact I kinda think that flyers bases should be clear too.

What are peoples thoughts on this, just curious more that anything. I have an army with a few different base styles and was thinking about making them all the same. 1) Is it important that your entire army has a similar basing style to each other. 2) Do people tend to have their entire army based one way except for a few key IC or really big center piece models. 3) Do people base their flyers bases or just leave them plain black?

I am planning on being there, but not until around 6ish. Since I am showing up a little later, would prefer a small game of 40k, around 1,200 points would be great. I can also bring a board or card game if anyone is interested.

I noticed on GW website they are categorized as Adeptus Mechanicus and not Adeptus Mechanicus: Skitarii. Its pretty much confirmed that there will be no HQ units right now.

I have a question about how this codex will integrate into the game. I assume it will be similar to how Militarum Tempestus works since it is a faction within the Astra Militarum. I assuming that the Skitarii will work the same way if the Adeptus Mechanicus gets a full codex. But since I am not familiar with how Militarum Tempestus works can someone explain it to me. I know a lot of this is unknown because the full codex is not out yet. For example: 1. Will the rules for these Skitarii only exist in Codex: Skitarii and not in the full Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus? 2. As far as working within a CAD, would the Skitarii be an ally of Adeptus Mechanicus main forces, so you would have to have the required troop choices and HQ options (if there ends up being an HQ option for Skitarii)? 3. Potentially if you wanted to ally in Skitarii and Adeptus Mechanicus into your primary detachment of Space Marine's would that be 2 allies instead of just one? Thanks all, excited for this release.

1. You were so taken back by this change, you made me question for a second if I had the rule wrong. 2. I think most people agree (on the internet anyway) the best form of Assault Terminator are Thunderhammer Stormshield Terminators, while we were playing I forgot they get a nice 3+ invulnerable save instead of only 5+. 3. Yes very nice, I wish I could trade in my GW grass mat for one of these. 4. Bikes are pretty nice, especially in Maelstrom missions. But they rarely last the whole game, for me anyway. 5. Love the tactical objectives as well. I picked up some nice Gale Force Nine Objective tokens at GG as well, they lay flat and you don't have to worry about accidentally picking them up like dice. 6. To be honest I think I got a really lucky shot on your LR (which was pretty dang cool, when it blew up). A lot of the time I never end up loosing mine throughout the whole game. 7. I have only been playing here for a few months but definitely the most fun I have had playing 40k.

Regardless Mad Max, Star Wars and Avengers 2 are all looking amazing this year.

This may be my most anticipated movie this year and I was never the biggest fan of the older ones. The trailers make it look utterly amazing. I like how they said that as best as they could they tried to use traditional effects and not CG, very cool.

Just to make sure I got all my bases covered, I am bringing a small 40k army around 1200 points. I also will have the Warhammer 40k card game Conquest up to 2P and the Spartacus board game up to 6P, if anyone if interested in that. Hoping to be there around 5:30.
