Im all for the change but i don't give two [big bad swear word]s about reece trying to explain why GW did this or that or how the game is better.  He did it with 8th then took a good chunk of the core rules out of the equation with the ITC pack

I'm not a fan of frontline gaming.  That's my opinion.  I don't like their "talk show" things and i greatly dislike how they are afraid to say the hard truths about GW and 40k at times.

I don't like how they had all those great things to say about 8th, bragged about how they knew sooooo much about the game, before it was released, and then contradicted themselves through their "talk shows".

They told how great 8th was then did a 180° flip with their ITC pack. 

The best batreps and games I've watched on YouTube are without ITC.  I also enjoy non ITC 40k better;but, the majority of people play ITC because that's how events are run and if people don't get ITC points from events then it's considered "a waste of time".

I greatly miss the old tournament days!

I am not a fan of painting banners so I went to the interwebs and found banners.  Got these cool dodads in the mail:

The second picture is for size comparison, the banner is painted on that model.  I will be making some new banner bearers.  The banner bearer for the banner with the blood tears is going to be painted in death company colors.

Got my first game in today.  I'm sold, the mechanics are very unique from other game systems.  

I love the deployment and cat and mouse moves.  Learned alot and now its time to keep playing.

@Exile@Raindog@WiseKensai anyone from the local infinity scene playing on TTS?  I just added all the mods for infinity and would love to start learning code 1 infinity!  I also just joined Vaulsc discord.

@Exile I think I'm finally picking up what you've been putting down.  I was too focused on the entire starter box set and not mixing models to a cohesive strike force.

Force has been ordered and its completely different than V2.

The mechanics of this game are mind blowing.  Loving the ARO aspect.

I have ninja in my name and i love all things ninja.  If I could have more ninjas I would.  I love the Hac Tao model and suppressive fire seems decent in a "kill lane".  The zhanshi look cool and i do like the box set for them. Specialist operator seems like a good swiss army knife.

It both starters with the two added in models at the bottom.  I have no idea what any of those things do (still reading the rules); however, i went off the army builder and looked at the models for what I liked.

So, I'm at the point where I'm about to purchase some models.  I noticed the app army builder caps at 40.  

What's the equivalent from 200 points to the 5-40 point conversion?

At this point, I'm confused as to what model can be in what force.  

Example: If im looking at this correctly.  Using Yu Jing, I cant take ninjas and monks in the same force due to them being in different subfactions, correct?

Yes, the above was extremely helpful.  I do have a few follow-up questions:

1) Should I stay away from Nomads since they they aren't supported in the new rules yet?

2) Is there an 'army builder' you use?

Well, the title says it all.  I'm about to download the rules and do some reading.  I've been looking at the minis and if the rules look good the Nomads will be the models I buy.  It was the gecko squadron and those weird spider robot looking things.

So, my questions are these:

1) When not in quarantine, when and where do people play?

2) What's a good point value to start with?

3) Which rules should I focus on reading first?

At any rate, mechanics seem cool and i like the look of the battlefield.
