Looking forward to some games, I'll be there tonight. No pie though :(

Cool - but I don't think adding more experience gain is a good idea, you level pretty fast anyhow. We got two games in today and each of us leveled four or five times. A lot of these improvements are well thought out, though I think the game does a great job with everything. I like Koyote's balancing mechanic, and I think an overall campaign goal is nice. The one in the book, Transcendence, would take a very long time to achieve, so maybe something a little easier like "learn all spells from your school" or something. Or just a set number of games and whoever is highest level wins? Or you could do a campaign map somehow... Just some thoughts. Glad you're organizing something! I want more Frostgrave, every game I've played has been a blast.

Ok I'll take the night off too then and get some painting done. If anyone wants a one-off game this weekend I should have lots of free time, please let me know!

Got two games in today - what an excellent system. It has the feel of Mordheim but the magic system is way better and you're much less attached to your hirelings, which makes injury and death a lot easier to deal with. I love it.

The building he showed us was really, really impressive. Can't wait to get one.

I hate to admit it but I've had the same problems at Red Castle. It's still my favorite game store, but yeah the wait is always terrible and I've had order issues too. My last order took 5 weeks and it was something the distributor had in stock. They also had a mix up with the distributor. So you're getting in to KoW! Any chance you'll join us on Tuesdays for a game? Probably not since you're out of town but we want to grow our ranks a bit.

I'm missing Infinity, I will be there this Sunday. Also willing to play some KoW or Frostgrave!

I don't find them to be too powerful at all. You have to bring inspiring stuff for them and their own magic to buff them, and you're limited to such a small amount. Maybe there is room for exploitation with something like a few regiments of Elohi going with your Dwarves or something like that as they inspire themselves and are terrorists. I brought men with my elves this weekend only because I didn't have enough points of Elves. Seemed like much more of a liability than a benefit.

I had a great time at the tournament but am still mad at myself for the really stupid mistakes I made. I gave two of my opponents the game by not paying attention to where I was moving my stuff and what could charge it. The game is all about careful outmaneuvering. Not sure I can handle that many games in a row, my attention span drops off at some point. I might just not be a tournament player! Still I love KoW and hope more folks in Portland try it out.

I played against a Phoenix this weekend and expected it to be terrifying. Seems like it's not really much of a fighter at all in this game, just does some healing.

Got this game when it was on sale a couple weeks ago and have been pretty drawn in. So far I'm loving it. I think this and Divinity Original Sin are the best of it's kind. A replacement for D&D in my life.

Yeah we are doing a KoW league Tuesday nights, but maybe we could fit a frostgrave game in after? Warhammer_T and a couple of my buddies are looking to play every other Saturday, maybe at the Portland Game Store (though I don't think they have enough terrain for this). I will let you guys know when that develops more.

Really enjoyed my game with Shane. Kings of War giants are way more competent than their warhammer counterparts.

Yes! I am currently in love with KoW. It's like breaking up with your first girlfriend and thinking you'll never meet anyone as good as her again. And then KoW comes along and makes you realize that first girl was silly and didn't have your best interests at heart and there's way better out there. Never again GW.

I played last night and enjoyed the updates to my wood elves. Seems like they did a good job of making all units viable.

If anyone is looking for a game this weekend, I'd love to get one. I'm free Friday or Saturday eve, or Sunday morn/early afternoon.
