  1. Awesome pretre! I admit i am looking forward to both warpath versions. I really really like thse FF figs. I know the tank especially has taken a beating on Dakka, but i absolutely love it.
  2. Riders/pilots would need to be painted, yes. Color schemes similar to those displayed in the links would be preferable, but an exact match is not required. They are space clowns, as long as they are colorful i will likely be thrilled.
  3. So here's the deal: I have a few small projects I need done BEFORE the end of October - About 5 weeks from now. I need to have 4 Harlequin Skyweavers painted: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Harlequin-Skyweavers I am looking for paint-schemes -similar- to those in the pic, EXCEPT you do not have to worry about the 'diamonds' on the cowlings - you can leave those entirely black or solid medium-red. Basing will not be necessary. I can provide the minis unassembled or assembled. I am willing to pay $20 for each Skyweaver painted. I am not looking for 'display quality', but rather something tabletop or slightly above. I would prefer folks in the Vancouver, WA/PDX area, but others who can meet the deadline -including- postage (which I will pay for), I will consider. I am not insisting they all be done by one person: I am happy to split these up for multiple people to tackle. If you HAVE any of these already painted and are willing to part with them - please feel free to message me with pics, etc. If you're interested in painting, and are 99.99999% you can be done with these BY OCTOBER 31st, please give me a PM! Thanks for looking! :) -Tim
  4. I am just taking a guess, but they (CB) do make Camo markers, and TO Camo markers separately, so I assume you do. But I don't have any TO in my army so I've never looked. LOL.
  5. Hey DP, Here, I fixed the link for you:
  6. Last night was the last night of our Infinity Escalation league up here in the Couv, run by George, playing at SuperSalty. It was an enormously fun learning experience for me. Even in my last game last night (300 points). I faced a guy with 20 models and 26 orders!!! I'd read about folks using two max-sized combat groups, but I got to be on the receiving end of it for real and man, was that a -learning experience-! It was funny, because my opponent went first with his 26 orders... and that alone took 90 minute! George called time, RIGHT when it was my turn to start moving my 1st turn. LOL! George gave us a little more time, and I pretty much blew off most of my stuff except for my HERO of the game - my Vet Kazak specialist who dashed forward toward the nearest objective.... suffered 6 hits from ARO - and made FIVE SAVING THROWS! Thank goodness for NWI! He then reached forward with bloody palms and SUCCEEDED at activating the objective, giving me a 3-0 win. LOL It was simply the weirdest experience I've had in a minis game - ever. But I had fun and my opponent seemed to have fun as well. For the league weeks and 'escalation' part, I loved starting at 120 points, then 150, then 200, 250, then 300. That was really cool. As with most games I play, I have more fun at the mid-level (or smaller) tiers, and though I enjoyed all the games I played, I actually had the most fun at 120-200 points. When I read about people playing this game at 400??? Errr, No thank you! The missions, in my opinion, were all awesome. I know ITS has a ton of missions (some of them similar to each other), but the chosen ones each week were interesting and very challenging. Every person I played was awesome. In most groups I've been a member of in past years, there were always those 1 or 2 guys that I just hated playing. But that was definitely not an issue here. I feel very fortunate to have found this group of guys to play with. The terrain George and the gang supplied to play with was super-awesome, too. And Salty was spacious (though a bit warm at times), roomy, and had the old Z-games boards to play on. Greg and the guys there were always welcoming and even did some special orders for us to get some figs. I definitely need to work on 'play speed'. If an ITS game is 90 minutes, I need to be able to focus, think quicker, and resist the urge to goof around and shoot the breeze at a casual pace like I am so used to doing. I haven't done 'tournament play' in many years, but I gotta be quicker, I know. I have my first chance next week (Sep 26) when I participate in my first minis tournament in quite awhile. It filled up quick, and I know there are a bunch of vets on there. I think the goal is to spread folks out so they aren't playing people they usually play day in and day out (at least for the first round). I am really looking forward to it, and just wish they had Ariadna t-shirts I could buy so I can represent my clan properly! Maybe a kilt? Hmmm!! Erik ended up placing 1st with his Aleph bastages. I finished 2nd with my vanilla Ariadna. Johnny-boy finished 3rd with his Tohaa. Not sure where the other fellas finished, and I know at least one that wasn't able to play every week (and if he had, he likely would have finished near the top). George somehow had prizes for us which included some figs, buttons, and cards. Of course, the prizes were just gravy. The main thing I came out of it with was knowledge, and meeting a great group of guys to game with. I know there was already talk about someone running the next league (John I think?), but personally, I'd love to see another Escalation that goes 120, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, then 300. 8 games instead of 5, but a slightly slower growth rate. Anyway, just my random thoughts. Pretty psyched. :) -Tim
  7. Ahhhhh. Another man-flesh for the horde!!
  8. Yeah Fingo, if you can meet in the Portland area somewhere for a trade-off of cash/items, that would definitely make me more likely to bid! :)
  9. I know we'll be able to add on the figs later, but am not sure if we can add on -multiples-. If we can Jay, I'd be happy to help you get the fig you need. And dp, I definitely -plan- on running an Infinity RPG campaign... assuming I don't hate the rules. ;) Even if I never play a single session, I'll be getting the books anyway (art and fluff, to me, are worth it). I own plenty of RPG books and games I've never actually played, but I've looked through many times. :) -Tim
  10. I was planning to do the max pledge - but those sold out within minutes, so i am waiting for them to add more. Lol. Either way, i will definitely be in on this one.
  11. It's a really good deal. If I hadn't sunk so much $ into terrain the past few months already, I'd snag it.

  13. This looked like a very good deal on Warsenal terrain... http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/663740.page
  14. If I am in town that weekend, I think I might try to make one. :) Total noob, though! :)
  15. When bringing in new folks, just a few more ideas.... 1) Let the new guy use the 'cooler' figs you have. If you have some painted and some not - let them use the painted stuff. If the lists aren't 'balanced' - let them have the stronger stuff. That leads to... 2) ALWAYS Let the new guy win. Most of you will say 'It's just a demo game, it doesn't matter' - but I think if you look real hard, you'll see that we're all mammals, and when it comes to competition (even friendly), deep down we'd still -like- to win. Even if that improves the chances of the person liking the game by 2%, what does it cost -you- to let them win? It's not a tournament - it's a demo! As I learned in my Outrider/Freelancer/NACORD days - when a noob WINS, they feel empowered and they want to repeat that feeling.. When a noob LOSES, they often feel like a failure or other possible negative feelings, and that leads to a possible lost player. Some will disagree with me, and that's cool. :) 3) Can't re-iterate it enough like RD said - HELP THEM. If they are gonna miss AROs - point it out. If they are going to make a bad move - show them why. Let them take back bad moves. Don't poke fun at them or let them do it then kill half their guys. 4) Start SMALL. 120-pts, or a starter box. That's it. EASE them into it. Tossing 300 points and 15 orders at them and rocking the advanced rules in the first 15 minutes of a demo game is a surefire way of scaring a potential noob away (and bystanders watching). Instead, ease them into it - 120 pts/starter box, basic rules. Then when you're done, and they've (hopefully) burned you down, and they feel empowered and curious and amazed by the minis - you open the sweet full-color book and say, "... And that was just the beginning..." 5) Don't trash-talk other systems. You hate 40k? That's cool for you. That MIGHT be a perspective noob's favorite game, and if you trash talk it - again, bad image. Besides, trash-talking another system can make a person look very petty. Avoid! 6) Repeat everything RD said. Get a box of terrain together. Bring extra markers/measurin' sticks/dice, etc. Just my thoughts.
  16. The group across the river in Vancouver (WA) has a FB page, and that's how we all keep in touch since I think most of them are not on Ordo. Guys with FB blocked at work either use their phones, or just check after-hours. But if you guys make one and allow folks from your 'northern suburb' to join, I sure would. I can't make it down there all the time, but I can on occasion and would love to play with some of you guys at some point! :) -Tim
  17. Another terrain KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/56924169/mini-duels-table-top-terrain-for-28mm-games?ref=discovery
  18. Yeah, very nicely done! :) The pics are more than adequate and the write-up was solid! Nice job!
  19. I'm pretty sure infiltrators can not be placed touching objectives, other models, or markers. Pg 83. But if you go 2nd, and you leave a guy in TO an inch away from an objective and reveal them in the 3rd turn... you'd only have to make one move and hope no one can ARO them I suppose! :)
  20. And bring your stuff. There are folks traveling in from different places... if someone can't show for some reason - bam - there's your spot! :)
