  1. @DisruptiveConduct You still up for a 40k game tonight?
  2. I've got a Guard army itching to fight, anybody want to do 2000 points of 40k?
  3. Those look great...I'm guessing they're also going for about $50-$60 per squad?
  4. Have one partially assembled Monolith, with box, with yet-to-be-added parts. No longer running Necrons, looking for a good overlord to take care of this fella. You get what you see in the photos. The Gauss turrets can rotate. Parts should fit well, noticed when I was assembling it some of the parts were slightly warped (as to be expected from a relic from 4th edition), and required a little more work to fit properly. Starting price $30, or equivalent trades in Guard Troops, Elites, Fast Attack.
  5. I shouldn't, I really shouldn't... ...are the weapons and turrets glued in/glued together, or magnetized?
  6. Glorious. I appreciate it that they're using the old artwork for their design cues.
  7. Time to start saving for a Sororitas detachment. GW, you madmen, Emperor bless you for finally coming through.
  8. Anybody up for a board game, some 40k? I want to swing by and hang out for a while.
  9. I see Clint Eastwood finally got promoted to Primarch.
  10. Warhammer's turning into Mechwarriorhammer? I'm okay with this.
  11. Never thought about it like that, that's an interesting way to do it. I myself get all the orders out of the way at the start of the Shooting phase, mostly so I don't forget about them.
  12. Discussed this recently with my friend, I want to hear what you guys think of it. I had assumed when using an Officer with the Laurels of Command to issue multiple shooting orders to a unit (assuming the 4+ roll was passed) that if I ordered, for example, FRFSRF and then Take Aim, the ordered unit would make two shooting attacks, one affected by FRFSRF and one affected by Take Aim. Two shooting attacks, with a single different effect on each one. When using LoC came up in active play, my friend said that I would only make one shooting attack, but after I had rolled to see if I could issue extra orders. He interpreted it as I would issue any and all orders allowed to the unit, which would then make a single shooting attack, with all the orders taking effect in that single shooting attack. His reasoning for this was that all the rules for LoC and for Orders specify an effect on the actions of a Guard unit, but they do not specifically force the Guard unit to execute that action immediately. My one objection to my friend's interpretation was the text from the Guard codex errata, which reads as follows: Q: If I issue an order to a unit with an Officer who has the Laurels of Command, and I roll a 4+ to issue another order to the same unit, do I resolve the first order before issuing the second? A: Yes. On reviewing this, however, I saw this still did not specifically force the ordered unit to execute an action. For the moment, my friend is correct, unless both of us have missed something vital. (And I'm glad he caught me on it early, too.) I want to hear how other people have used the Laurels, especially since the Winter League is coming up.
  13. Anyone up for a small game of 40k? 1000 points versus my Guard? I'm off work at 5pm, should be able to make it there by 5:45.
  14. That big blocky structure, especially of the repulsor panels, bring the Galactic Empire's war machines to mind, specifically the World Devastators.
  15. S4 Guardsmen? Pinch me, I must be dreaming! Seriously hype for the new Guard codex.
  16. Selling most of my Necron collection. Looking for cash, willing to trade for Imperial Guard models and bits, specifically Guard infantry, Guard officers, Rough Riders, tanks and artillery, tank sponsons, tank turrets and turret cannons, or the odd Ministorum Priest or Techpriest Enginseer model. Bits-wise I’m looking for power fists, power axes, plasma pistols, or shotguns. I’m in the Portland area. Prefer pickup in person, payment in cash, can also do Paypal (if you need it shipped). Listed prices do not include shipping. I can meet at Ordo on Sunday evenings or Guardian Games during the day most days. Pictures are linked through the names of the models. 20x Necron Warriors, split into 10-model Squads A and B: $10 per squad 7x Scarab bases: $1.50 per base, $10 for all 7 4x OOP metal Canoptek Spyders: $10 per Spyder, $35 for all four at once - 2 Spyders have magnets for the arms, one with 2 magnets, one with 1 magnet - All Spyders have magnetized bases - If you purchase any number of Spyders, you can pick as many or as few of the arms/guns as you want, no additional charge. First come, first served. - The silver spyder is missing 2 legs, and one of the non-magnetized black spyders lost one of its legs. I still have that one leg, but it needs to be glued back on the model. Triarch Stalker: $25, armed with Heat Ray 3x Tomb Blades: $18, armed with twin Gauss Blasters, one has Shield Vanes I WANT IT ALL: $90 for the whole bunch.
  17. Work has taken both Sunday and Tuesday WoW nights from me. I have Wednesdays off, so I can go to GG if necessary. Would prefer a more casual setting for learning 8th, though.
  18. Guard, because grizzled cantankerous sergeants, customizable veteran squads, Scions, and TANKS. Maybe Necrons, too. I preordered Xenos 1 in the hopes Necrons will be interesting again in 8th.
  19. Someone should make a spoof song about that.
  20. I'd like to join an RPG, problem is my only days off currently are Monday and Wednesday...neither of those WOW nights. If I can find a way around that, I would totally be down for this. I am fine with meeting at a cafe or someone's house if we must.
  21. I have about 5k points of Necrons, a small Imperial Guard detachment, mostly tanks, and barely 1k Marines. I want to eventually kit out the Marines to be an assault-based Allied detachment for the Guard, who will be primarily armored/mechanized.
