How are we going to expand our lists and still be battle-forged? Going from 500 to 750 points isn't enough to create a new detachment (for most armies), but the patrol detachment I'm using is almost out of room for units. Obviously I don't want to lost the experience and honors my units already have. Any ideas?

Years ago an acquaintance who left Warhammer for other games told me he thought GW was a social experiment to see how long you can string customers out in a hobby before they quit for good. And at this point it seems as likely to me as any other theory as to why GW is how it is.

I'll be there Saturday for the crusade, gotta level my Guard up.

Unfortunately this weekend is already taken, but I'd be happy to schedule for the weekend of Aug 28-29.

A heads-up In regard to Crusade games, I do not have a copy of the main rulebook, so I hope one of you has a copy or knows the missions by heart. I'll see about getting a copy soon to remedy my detestable lapse in readiness.

What are the limits on what type/what number of detachments we can take?

Looking for a good home for the old death cube. Mostly assembled and partly primed, it just needs the ribs, back, and crystal bits added. The roof is slightly uneven and there are rough and uneven spots on the model. Comes with the box intact, instructions are printed on the box side. Starting offer is $45. I would prefer a local pick-up/drop-off (I'm in Portland area) but can ship if necessary. Photos on Imgur. Edit: can do Paypal or cash for payment.

I have Cadian squads that I'm hanging on to for now, but I do want to buy/trade/convert some more interesting Guardsmen and cycle out the Cadians...if I get this done sooner than later, I'll let you know.

Do you guys have any advice for sending a small 40k army though USPS? I took part of my Guard army to college out-of-state (Ohio), and with the Corona crisis I had to come back to Oregon to continue college online. My friend will clean out our dorm room next week and mail my belongings back. I'm worried about the army staying intact--it's all infantry, packed up tight in its own box along with the gaming and modeling supplies I brought with them. I told my friend he should tape the box shut, wrap it in my blanket, and ship it in a larger moving box. (And yes, I am paying him back in full for the shipping costs.) Side question: I know I left a tube of Krazy glue with the army, can that be shipped, or should I have my friend remove it?

While I won't be ordering Sisters right away, I will buy some eventually. I don't plan on going for a whole army of Sisters, just enough for a detachment, maybe two.

My friends got me to try 30k this summer. I had fun, enjoyed it, problem is I'm out of state at college right now. Won't be free till summer 2020. I'd be willing to give 30k a try with other people, long as you're okay with me using 40k Marine proxies.
