  1. @Dark Trainer 14 days later... Here it is. @Salty Monkeylook at the fun I get to have now
  2. So I got an orruk Megaboss so I could turn him into a Mega Armor Warboss with the idea of using Greenstuff plates to mold to things like the dragon skull and armor plates (making them 40kish more) Welp, my Greenstuff World order came in today. I ordered it on the 22nd of January This is what I got. A Factory Roller, a Mesh fence and double diamond plate roller as well as a plain roller to get it working. Some ribbon tools to carve as needed, some silicone rolling rings to get the thickness I want, two self healing mats (I work at a call center so they let me. Hobby other than painting during down time) and a bunch of Green Stuff, with a gap. Oh and sculpters Vaseline. I know most of that could of been gotten cheaper but meh, it's my money.
  3. You also have to recognize his level and style of play, his various experiences in different match ups etc
  4. The question is, is it opening up early at all? I have some terrain to drop of to be painted for this weekend
  5. It's just hard to think an army with less models than many knight soup armies was slower.
  6. If they ever bring those guys up.
  7. No need to be pedantic about it. You know what I mean and I was being concise
  8. That list shouldn't really be that slow. With only 52 infantry that list really shouldn't run to time... I am 3d printing movement trays for my horde o' orks. This list is rather elegant. Planes will die in blazes of glory but they are there to move Block, trigger Freebootaz ability. It seems like a hilarious amount of fun plus pirate Morka AND Gorkanauts
  9. Anyone going to LVO and plays against one Benjamin Jurek. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GORK AND POSSIBLY MORK MAKE A POST ABOUT IT!!! His list is amazing....
  10. Ah, that s pretty simple. You pass entire attacks to Drones and when that fails you pass individual wounds to stealthsuits. So if you get hit with an autocannon (S7 AP-1 Dmg 2) and fail to pass it to a Drone you can attempt to pass the 2 wounds off to a friendly Stealthsuit. This is due to the term "loses a wound" on the Defender of the Greater Good rule vs "is wounded" on Savior Protocol. You are wounded when an opponent makes a successful To Wound roll. You lose wounds equal to the Damage Characteristic of the weapon wounding your model when you fail a Save or don't pass the wound off
  11. @Jason good things here

    Tau...

Go first? Hide better? Kill the drones!
  13. Welp, I think I will be taking this. ++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Orks) [35 PL, 7CP, 652pts] ++ Clan Kultur: Deathskulls Specialist Detachment [-1CP]: Dread Waaaagh! + HQ + Big Mek W/ Shokk Attack Gun [4 PL, 80pts]: Big Killa Boss, Da Souped-up Shokka, Shokk Attack Gun, Warlord Weirdboy [3 PL, 62pts]: 2. Warpath + Troops + Boyz [11 PL, 202pts]: 2x Tankbusta Bombs . Boss Nob: Killsaw, Kombi-Rokkit . 24x Ork Boy W/ Slugga & Choppa Gretchin [1 PL, 30pts]: 10x Gretchin Gretchin [1 PL, 30pts]: 10x Gretchin + Elites + Mad Dok Grotsnik [5 PL, 86pts] + Fast Attack + Stormboyz [10 PL, 162pts] . Boss Nob: Killsaw, Kombi-Rokkit . 14x Stormboy ++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Orks) [30 PL, 5CP, 597pts] ++ Clan Kultur: Bad Moons + HQ + Weirdboy [3 PL, 62pts]: 3. Da Jump Big Mek (Index) [5 PL, 75pts]: Choppa, Kustom Force Field + Troops + Gretchin [1 PL, 30pts]: 10x Gretchin Gretchin [1 PL, 30pts]: 10x Gretchin Boyz [7 PL, 145pts]: 2x Tankbusta Bombs . Boss Nob: Big Choppa, Slugga . 19x Ork Boy W/ Shoota + Heavy Support + Lootas [13 PL, 255pts]: 15x Loota ++ Total: [65 PL, 12CP, 1249pts] ++ This seems fun. Not sure on the Mad Dok at this level due to size of the board... Edit; Changes were made. The Dok is good but not in this points level I feel
  14. Sadly not today. I had to stake stock of the Guardian Cup coming up and I am short on full painted
  15. Hahahahahaha, yea that Dok and 3ven the Deathskulls native 6++ w is your bane. For other ork players you will be fine. They typically don't run blue
  16. 2d6 reliability kill vs targets and 1d6 possible wiff. All math forward The math rolls that a normal sag has a 45% chance to wiff on average rolls, 40% with rerolls to 1's. Sadly I am not sure the exact math for a Deathskulls but it's possibly better (3 rerolls vs average 1 on 1d6).The relic is 21% and 16% with rerolls to 1's. Average damage is important as well with the normal 2.73 and rr1's is 3.21. The relic is 5.46 and with rr1's its 6.41 (once again the extra rerolls to wound and damage change this) So yes. It's good for the 80 pts but it's taking up slots or detachments and that's a heavy consideration. Against a castellan 3++ as long as you are Da Big Killa Boss you should be doing 3ish over all wounds. It's OK. As for saving 20ish models. Absolutely! In ITC that means I can deny kills. I did this today in fact in a 2k game against @Jason. I denied several turns of his guard killing full squads of boyz with the Dok. The Dok is only maybe 12 boyz. If I save more than that then he has made his points back in spades.
  17. Depends. Is is Colin Sherman with Dual Spears and a Wraith Blade Host? Or is it someone who made that mistake. You are talking a queen for queen trade and I don't mind making those. It just has to be worth it and maybe spears are not. Depends
  18. Sure. It's a stupid amount of shooting and a HUGE expenditure of CP. The question is, especially with ITC secondaries, do you constantly need that? Maybe to help guarantee kill more. Great against big targets or a squad of Deathwatch but I would still want my lootas shooting more things like chaff. I will have to test it out. Add in needing to roll strength each time you fire it and it's great not knock my soks off good.
  19. https://youtu.be/34wConvy5p0 Geoff Robinson reviews the codex
  20. All good points. Multiple Shokk Attack Guns are great but not fantastic. I honestly wonder if they have a diminishing return. The biggest thing about the relic vs the normal isn't the heavy 2d6 vs heavy D6 it's the fact that the relic does Mortal Wounds in addition to normal damage on that rare 11+ strength roll vs just Mortal Wounds from the normal. Mad Dok increases my number of saved models by extending their life span but it's still a test. Bad moon SAG's are interesting but I prefer Deathskulls. That reroll to hit, that reroll to wound and thst reroll on the damage roll is just simply fantastic. Making the characters obsec and a 6++ is great.
  21. Ah yea. You can fire two units a turn twice but I only more dakka one. The relic sag is just amazing
  22. Yes and then you lose that unit. It seems strong and it is. It will definitely keep mid table players at mid table but smart players will have plans. Killing isn't the only thing to do. It is important but making such a move can easily cost you 2 Marked for Death Points and a Reaper on its own while maybe giving you 1-2 marked for death points
  23. Agreed about Tau. The issue is you have to spend SO MUCH firepower to kill what Ynarri have. Sure we ignore much of their negatives but even a more dakka 25 squad of loota getting 75 shots should only deal about 20 wounds which is great but a good ynarri player won't give that to you easily
  24. Heh... Heh... Whoops. Did I give my hand away? I don't even get comments on my list!
  25. I don't know about auto lose. Shining spears kill the troops rather easily and if you can wipe masses of Drones off the table they don't have much to survive the Dark Reapers. Lootas still need Los and a good roll to bypass the buffs the ynarri get. Dont ever shoot with lootas at a wave serpent... I have done the math... It's NEVER WORTH IT!!!
