Aventine
Made this detachment of Mechanicum to go with my Heresy White Scars. I am counting them as Tau allies for 40K rule purposes. Magos/ Commander Forge Menials/ Kroot Thallax/ Broadsides I am tentatively planning on converting up a Forgeknight/ Knight Titan/ Riptide out of a Dreadknight next...
JMGraham
Brilliant! Really great job on the dags. Did you use That new Citadel technical paint for the verdigris?
Aventine
Brilliant! Really great job on the dags. Did you use That new Citadel technical paint for the verdigris? Thanks! I did use the new Oxide on the verdigris and it works really great. Not something you could not achieve with traditional paints, but nice to have it mixed up to the perfect shade and consistency... KAPcom
I am a huge fan of those Broadside stand-ins. Great use of the otherwise useless drop pod launchers. :)
PourSpelur
Great execution! The cogwheel cowls really pop. Plus I've been looking for a good copper verdigris and you totally sold me on the Gdub technical paint;)
PourSpelur
*edit* Stupid double posting phone...um...they still look great.
Aventine
Forgeknight/Riptide heavily WIP Not super close to done yet, but you can see the general idea coming together. He will also eventually be rocking a (bigger) pair of missle fists.
pretre
Looks a bit raw right now but I'm excited to see how it shake out!
KAPcom
Using the spotlight was a great idea for the head. For the arms, I'd consider lowering them, which'll re-enforce the overall "droopy" mech look the head and stance is indicating.
PourSpelur
Love the head. Looks like WALL-E's bigger, meaner cousin...KILL-E ;)

Yeah I have plans for the arms, They are going to a lot more mechanical, and not much like the dreadknights at all (if you are familiar with the kit, the main bitz I am using for the arms are the external pistons from the original arms)
generalripphook
Oooh you could do something where the missle bays are above the shoulders, like the mad cat from battletech

KAPcom
I love what you did with the arms, and then I saw the little tiny arms on the chest. Those add so much awesome to the model, I love it.
