sergentzimm
How do you all feel about the look of the basic dwarfs from Mantic? You get a good chunk of models in their army set fo $80 http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/kings-of-war/dwarfs/product/dwarf-army-set-85-figures.html I would think those would make for a good starter force. The question is, do they fit in well with the other GW models? Anyone used these guys?
JamesBeadle
They aren't as nice as GW models, but for $80 they look fine. The square bases are 25mm?

I think they should be that same size. I have some zombies but I used them for 40k and I am not at home to check. I guess the real check is to see how they match up vs the skull pass dwarves. HeroZero
I think the basic warriors and gunman look great. It's just their warmachines that look like poop.

Murphy'sLawyer
Yeah the canons look a bit smallIt's not the size of the cannon it's how you use it.......... Ok, it's the size that counts. ;) Not a fan of mantic models. Something looks off about all the mantic fantasy stuff I have seen.
Gordianus
I have to say that their Dwarf models are growing on me. Kings of War is good game too well worth a try. With the cost of GW models, rules, and army books, it makes looking at these models a lot easier.
dkieft
I am not a fan. The Price is right though, if you need a "cheap" army it's probably the way to go.
mojoslayer
They are 20mm, I have a few. They are okay, good enough to where a nice paint job can make them work well, the problem I have with them is that they have a lot of flat plastic areas. If cost of an army is what is getting in your way of playing, then by all means go with them, If I was starting over I would give it some serious consideration. Again they aren't bad, however I will say they are not nearly as good or detailed as GW, Scibor or Avatars of War.

If your sperm were the size of a grapefruit, you'd have a hard time shooting it out your urethra. They need to scale [big bad swear word] better. Brother Glacius
Texas toy soldier carries mantic kings of war for 30% off.
busbina
Just mix them in, dilute your GW models with them. Cant vouch for the dwarfs, but the zombies and skellies are fine.
sergentzimm
Yeah I love the zombies. I use them for my chaos zombies in 40k. I liked the dwafs before but they were static. I might try a few games with proxies to see if I like the army.
Brick Bungalow
I think they might work in conjunction with other bits and models but the units as-is are pretty static and boring. I like the characters.
