imperialjawa
I may be late to the party but here is a book recommendation So I am new to collecting and hopefully soon playing Orks in 40k and love the idea and fluff behind the Blood Axe clan. I figured out why I am drawn to the Blood Axes...back in 92 or 93 read an awesome fantasy novel all about an Ork clan that is tired of losing to the good guys all the time Grunts by Mary Gentle http://www.amazon.com/Grunts-Mary-Gentle/dp/0451454537 I suggest checking it out if your a fan of orks especially Blood Axes

Guest
Out of curiousity, are these tanks cheaper to make with the plasticard and model kits, or is it still the same expensive hobby? They do look nice.
imperialjawa
Are the tanks cheaper to make out of plastic card and scale model kits? Its sort of a yes and a no It all depends on the model you start with, some are inexpensive and others are not. Then you have to factor in the plasticard and bitz you want to use. There is also the time it takes to build then convert these models. So on some I am saving some money and on others I'm breaking even or going over alittle. But its all in service of the WW2 theme I want to achieve not cost cutting. If I wanted to save money I would made another panther battle wagon and not started project JAGDPIG...cause this model aint cheap but will hopefully look awesome and will probably end up costing me the same or slightly more then a GW battlewagon. However, I don't care about the money I just wanna make a super cool hopefully BRUTAL and possibly KUNNIN WW2 themed ork army and now for a face only a BigMek would love...

imperialjawa
I'm thinking early war german tank camo for the vehicles and something like this for the infantry the painting will start in a few weeks hopefully
imperialjawa
Stormboyz are a go...its only ten but I'm not sure about them yet so we'll see how they work and Da Boss I was worried at first that the nobs would look very samey but with different style heads and weapons they all seem unique and now the latest top secret mek vehicle ...Project:RollerPig It'll be a little skinnier then then the panthers but closer to the size of an actual battlewagon

fluger
They look great and also they are a throwback to the 2nd edition style. Well done! Also, the new rules for them make them, IMO, phenomenal!
PourSpelur
You have all eight wheels glued in yet? If not, replacing one wheel with a scratch built would be delightfully Orky. Just my two cents. Keep it up, looks fantastic! ;)
