Wiccus
I know the narrative event is going to reveal bits and pieces as we play but I was just wondering about the importance of specialists. Should we bring a lot? Are they not very important? The 200pts feels a tad restrictive so I'm having trouble list building. I want to build something fun but I also don't want to make something that can't win missions
Raindog
There will be a check list of achievements. If you do not have specialists, you will not make some of them. Having a Spec-OP lets you start with a two talent specialist.
George
You won't need specialists for doing the main objectives of the game. You will need specialists for performing classified objectives (2 extra inches of deployment in your next game per classified completed!) and also for doing the achievements. Raindog
So you may ask what are achievements? Well, I will give an example from the Rampage. Of course, these are not the ones that will be used for the Narrative Event, but they are a good example of what they could be...... Each Check is Worth One Point. Check off each only once during the entire Rampage. Have your opponent -Initial the Check! 1. Break a fire team link. __________ 2. Complete a turn without a model wounded that turn. __________ 3. Coup de Grace an unconscious model. __________ 4. Crit on the roll of a one. __________ 5. Discover a camo marker. __________ 6. Dodge a Mine. __________ 7. Have model in the opposing deployment zone at the end of the game. __________ 8. Heal a model with a doctor or paramedic. __________ 9. Immobilize or Isolate an opposing model. __________ 10. Kill a model that is in suppressive fire. __________ 11. Kill an opposing Lt. __________ 12. Kill the enemy Spec-Op. __________ 13. Lay a mine or repeater. __________ 14. Place three enemy models into the null state with one order. __________ 15. Repair a remote or TAG with an Engineer. __________ 16. Spotlight or Forward Observe an opposing model. __________ 17. Successfully throw any type of grenade. __________ 18. Successfully change facing as a dodge. __________ 19. Use supportware or hack through a repeater. __________ 20. Wound an opposing model as an ARO __________

Raindog
So Ladies and Gents, you may ask, “What the heck is theme?” Think of theme as atmosphere. What ever enhances the overall gaming experience is theme. Think creative, geek pageantry. Does your team have a name? Do they have matching shirts? Is there a display board that unifies the three forces? Do you have a team banner? Do you have matching unique command tokens? Do you have have swag to hand out to your opponents. Does your table have a unified theme or is a collection of random terrain bits. None of these are requirements, nor are they limitations. Bring what sings to you. Do what you can complete. Simple, but well executed goes a long way. We are surrounded by creative hobbyists and gamers. Show us what you can do. Make the other gamers wish they were playing Infinity.
Wiccus
So I saw that an objective room needs to be included. Is it the standard 8" by 8" room used for missions like the armory? If so does it need to be centrally located? Just trying to plan the table properly.

Set it up like the armory, centrally located.
Wiccus
Sorry to keep asking questions. Would it be okay to do the objective building at a 45 degree angle to make the table a bit more diagonal?

George
OFCC Infinity Narrative Campaign Event Specifics: 200 point list, 4 SWC, One 4 point Spec Ops Specialists are only needed to obtain classified objectives. Each Classified Objective is worth 2 inches of additional deployment in the next round of play. Mission Objectives are added together as a team score, divided up evenly among the members of the team, any leftover numbers are thrown out. Those points are used before the next round to roll on either Booty Chart 1 or Booty Chart 2. Of the items rolled for, you may only keep one to add to your Spec Ops. You do not get rerolls based on duplicates. If you roll 1, 1 and 10, you have two choices to choose from. Sample: Tom scored 3 OP, Dick scored 7 and Harry scored 3 for a grand total of 13. The average is 3 each. Each member rolls 3 times on the booty chart and keeps one of those items for their spec ops. These items carry over from game to game unless your Spec Ops passes from the null state to the dead state. If your Spec Ops becomes dead, you start with a fresh 4 point Spec Ops in your next game. If you have any questions about list building rules or have questions about scoring, please feel free to email me at grspencer@hotmail.com
Sgt. Rock
I like the way that booty roll is going to work. I was thinking the other day how useless it would be for a Fusilier to end up with an E/M CCW...

EriktheRed
Well now, I'm just going to have to say that 200 pt limited insertion totally favors some factions over others. That's why I play more than one faction. So I blaim George for making me play ASS
