  1. Primary detachment character with highest ld is warlord.
  2. Calm people! They take faq's down for a few days and get burned in effigee. Sheesh.
  3. lol. my sleep meds got aholda me or something. take them in 10 still. i like that squad a lot.
  4. UM... Iplay a purely sisters forcecjust fine. GK as well. if you mean the actual "Inquisition codex" i can say that though i use it, i wouldnt miss that imposter dex. it really was not an awesome idea.
  5. AH SOUNDS LIKE GOOD TIMES ARE ON THE WAY.

You can also go there to see what happened at the last Ambassadorial Tournament. I will update this original post as new ones are announced or as dates and details change. Stay tuned. 7. Chaos Space marines are Black or white. You either load them up to 20 or you roll with 5. Nothing inbetween makes any sense. Cuiltists at 10 are good for reserving to take objectives or control guns. Count on them for nothing. Raptors need to be in biog squads. I use 14 in mine and they are all Nurgle. Terminators is a highly debated issue but I say 10. Unit of 10 makes them adaptable to any sized task. Possessed aren't a unit I recommend. But you can really only AFFORD them in smaller units. Chosen because they are special weapons and basically sternguard in a way, I like haveing a full unit but cost makes me say 5-6
  8. Batt;e brothers is the focus of a lot of interest as you've sdaid. I agree. If the Battl;e Brothers were all allies of convenience, you'd turn tyhe 40K world upside down and get the narrative feel you want in games without the loopy combos. Those combos do not seem like they are going anywhere any time soon though/. Ironically in the Ambassadorial Tournament in October just by its nature, there wont be any allies so that should be pretty interesting. We had already set it up this way in the previous 3, so 4 will be no different. It will really showcase the actual codex's.
  9. i dislike forgeworld being allowed. i dont feel bad about that. plenty of reasons that dont bear mention here but lets not jump the gun. when the codex comes out we may fi d that anything we "lose" may be of no PRACTICAL importance. things people wouldnt prefer to use anyways are a waste of resources.
  10. The team concept, like pairs tournaments, adds a lot to differentiating the event from run of the mill GT's. The other thing I like is the fairly God sent paint jobs people always bring for me to envy. :) Josef McCoy
  11. i will be putting up a calendar of tournaments, 5 in all, coming soon. the cherry on top will be the 4th Ambassadorial Tournament. to be held in October.
  12. Gotcha. Well I have faith in ya' Zeke. and it's always good to see what treat you'll serve up.
  13. Dunno bout that. I bet you could win. The points system for flames is really cool.
  14. i...uh...uh....so.... uh... Fist....uh...
  15. No. The Quicksilver Sword is a Daemon weapon. Hand of Darkness with Combat Familiar is indeed awesome.
  16. Black Legion has really good artifacts. Hand of Darkness for your Chaos Lord and Quicksilver sword for Daemon Princes highly placed amongst them
  17. Well... For me it's always going to come down to whether or not you can answer this question to my satisfaction: "Is this going to help the newest player embrace our hobby?" Follow up question: "Is this going to make it easier for me to find games?". If either one of the answers is no, I'm kinda not excited. FAQ's do help newer players straighten things out. They do make it easier for me to find a game because people are more comfortable playing when they know going in that things will be governed by a fair and accessible, though yes subjective, FAQ. Do I agree 100% Nope. But I don't have to. I just have to know what it IS ahead of time so we can avoid conflicts. I really dislike the whole pasive aggressive "Well if THATS the way YOU play it over YONDER..." thing. I really do. I don't like feeling like a criminal over some perceived rules thing. So FAQ's really help that.
  18. Are we over thinking this? I like the models. Kingpin and I were remarking that the models could be built in different ways. the grill on the Taurox, for example. One looks better than the other, so use that one right? And who doesn't have a bitz box the size of Mt. St. Helens after a while? Don't like the way something looks? Fix it. I'm excited about the possibilities. I am thinking my list may not change a lot in the new codex but I must admit that I am kinda in love with the Taurox. So Germanesque and very convertible.
  19. Ultimately, someone has to make a decision. If Abusepuppy is running the tourney, looks like this is his. No two TO's will see everything the same way to the same degree. So honestly I just show up, ask the very FEW questions that might come up beforehand and pray I didn't miss something that someone else thinks was "obvious" that I should have asked. But there's zero down side to clarity. Thus FAQ's and Errata.
  20. Okely Dokely. Thought some would have an interest in the results. First, it was GREAT to have the local store supporting this so well. The Game Matrix was really great about everything. We were able to give away some really nice prizes. The ones you will care about, no doubt, are: Best General got a whopping $150. Congratulations to Matt Stevens for competing and getting some money to get his new Imperial Guard army rolling. he already has an impressive collection of them and now can start updating them thanks to his tourney winnings! Best painted went to some really beautiful Grey Knights, painted and played by their owner Mike Matt. He took $75 for doing it and was able to buy a Storm Raven he had been planning on getting. Our Eye on the Prize winner this time was one of the twins, Ed Skewis, who general'd his Eldar and racked up an IMPRESSIVE victory points total. Although he was not able to carry the day in every game, his every opponent knew they'd been in a serious fight with the big dogs. He took $35 and was able to get the Necron codex he wanted Lastly we gave Best Sportman to a really great guy John Costello who was also my first opponent (I played the Ringer army). He used his winnings to help him get his Ravager and his VoidRaven Bomber. He got top marks from his opponents including me. We actually had a three way tie for Best Sportsman and John won by tie breaker, which was awesome. I think that John Miller and Scott Mason both deserved Honorable Mention in this category. For those who came and made this a great event, thank you. I am really glad you were able to come. Bring a friend next time so we can expand the prize pool to new heights! If you enjoyed yourself, let people know, and make sure to facebook them about the future events at the Game Matrix. Good store, lots of space and an owner whose very supportive of tournaments and actually spends his prize support on...you know...prize support. =)
  21. Mission 1 will be a modified Relic mission. Mission two is the Crusade. Mission three is Purge the Alien, Secure the Area
