Duckman
@Ish you run that and I will bring an army of Slayers so I can get naked, oil up and flex for you. (I'll pass on making puns with all their song titles because there is just too much ground to cover there.)

WestRider
It was really hard to generate much interest or enthusiasm for the Apiarist's Percussion Group. It was just so humdrum.
Guest
Any reason it would be a bad idea to take a bath/soak in a tub full of a beverage? Like coffee or an Energy drink? Sounds kinda interesting. Energy drink one would be far too expensive to test, but I feel like I could test the coffee one without breaking the bank. Is their some science-y reason this would be a really bad idea?

Let us know how your sodium borate bath goes.
InfestedKerrigan
When did Star Wars become a commentary on U.S. global politics. 1

During the pre-production of the original trilogy, although it became the most explicit during Return of the Jedi. George Lucas is on record waxing poetic about how the Ewoks were modeled after the Việt Cộng, the Rebellion were modeled on Southeast Asian and Sub-Saharan African post-colonial guerrillas generally, and the Empire was an amalgamation of American and British militarism. Gotta love the irony of a man with deep communist sympathies making himself a gajillionaire through building the most successful merchandising juggernaut in history. 2
jesselowe
If he's willing to make that much money, I don't think the sympathy was all that deep.
Ish
Well, before this gets more “RoC-esque,” I will point out that Lucas would hardly be the first (and certainly not the last) person with socialist sympathies that enriched themselves via the market (and a wee bit of cronyism). The sobriquet of “champagne socialist” was coined for a reason.

I'm not entirely sure that's still true. I think I remember reading somewhere that Pokemon has overtaken it.
Ish
Well, even if that’s true now, it’s undeniable that Star Wars was an absolutely unprecedented merchandising juggernaut in its heyday. The entire toy industry changed because of what Kenner was able to do with those toys.
WestRider
Absolutely true. It was a total paradigm shift in marketing.

InfestedKerrigan
Yeah, I didn't mean to get RoCky with that. I was rewatching Last Jedi and kept having WTF really moments that, well, I'm less invested now in the Franchise, but know it didn't start with ep 8.

Dragons aren't a problem, I'm like level 70. I just was not expecting to one hit KO an Ancient Dragon with my first enchantment. Realistically, this is just going to help me grind quests faster due to not having to run back to town so often.
