depending on what your looking for - I have 3 assembled/base painted that I got on a trade a few years ago... but I am not looking to collect any additional 40k / GW stuff.

I’ve been collecting bits and parts for a Mechanicus/ Skitarii army for a few years - I’ve decided not to build this army now and will be selling all the stuff off. Here is a basic list - of the stuff - NIB or still on sprue ... nothing assembled. Looking for 20% off of retail on this ... I’ll listen to bundle offers as well. Not looking for trades. • Forgebane - adeptus mechanicus half - including decals • Belisarus Cawl • Start collecting Skitarii Box w/ iron strider tossed in - on sprue as well • Kastelan Robots box • A Recast Termite Mole (similar /same as the Forge world one) • Current codex for Mechanicus/ Skitarii I may add more to this list as I locate them. I know I have a Mechanicus strider somewhere as well.

At first blush ... seems like a good place for me to shift gears away from playing 40k. maybe that will change.

In my research I have started to look into the Prusa Mini as a viable option for my needs of an FDM printer. 7" cube printing area seems like it would be enough - anyone else look at this machine? Prusa being behind this option makes me feel better lol. -d

I was pretty lazy on the hobby front this weekend - do you have this STL already? I would need to see if it will fit... to try to print it as large as possible. Before going to the cut it up route. -d

Hmmm I have a photon S - resin printer ... I’m pretty sure that size is possible... 6” x 3x3.75. I can double check exactly this weekend. It will be tight though. depending on the file - it will probably need to be angled to squeeze every mm out of it. The 2.5” dimension- the depth front to back on the printer can be limiting. But sometimes depending on the file it can be tipped just right. something to experiment with maybe -d

I have a few more things to sell on eBay to fund this ... but I will probably go with the ender 3 pro as well in a few weeks. -d

Woodburn? awesome - I am in Hubbard. Although, I have not had Covid that I know of. But when this all is over I have a table and armies to go. - I am pretty sketchy on the rules - although I have played the latest edition of 40k (ELDAR). What else do you play? -don

hmmm I will take a deeper look into the ender 3 pro - are their companies to buy it from that support it better? Also, glass plate is a needed extra vs the magnetic plate? Anything else that is a must if I were to go with the Ender? -d

one I forgot - if your ok with the star wars RPG from FFG ... Based Genesis rules ... Android setting book - shadow of the beanstalk is pretty nice as well. Good if your used to the FFG starwars ruleset / funky dice.

hmm I am not familiar with Cyberpunk Red... (I will have to look that one up - I hadn't realized they did a new version of Cyberpunk). Have you looked at Carbon 2185? (recent kickstarter RPG) or Eclipse Phase? it all depends on your version of Cyberpunk you want I guess. I love cyperpunk - but never really liked shadow run as it was. I did play it because my group back in the day played it. But I liked the Cyberpunk RPG feel better myself (less elves, magic and that BS) 🙂 -d

Hmmm it would be more informative if someone had used both :)... to compare and contrast. I have watched a couple reviews and only a couple had had both - and they leaned to the Prusa. But the Ender price is inviting. On the Ender side I was looking at the 3 PRO - or the 5. But the Prusa sounded more build and go with not much fuss... and maybe a better fit for my short attention span lol. -d

I spent most of my weekend printing epic stuff - dialing in my process. I think I printed 18 chimeras, a dozen or so bombards / mortars and about 8 squat gyro copters and a few Thunderfire cannons. I think my Epic Imperial Guard are good now - nearly all painted. On to do some work on my Marines next I think. So far I have not had the need to print anything for them. After all this I am starting to look at an FDM printer (filament) to complement my resin (SLA) printer. I had gone over this before a year or so ago - I was leaning heavily to getting a Prusa MK3. Recently I have been looking at the Enders. But anyone have experience with both of these? Looking for opinions on what would be a better used of my funds and time. Currently, I am starting to think the Prusa will be a better target - just wait longer and save for the better option. -d

yeah - pulling out and dusting off my Epic stuff has solidified my intention not to bother picking up anything GW is doing with AT... Epic:Armageddon / NetEpic versions rules are all free online - lots of stuff on eBay or aftermarket proxies for all armies exist as well at reasonable prices. Couple that with a good quality resin 3D printer... (and a fist full of STLs). I don't see a point in sending GW any more $$$ for a good ruleset and minis (which already exist with Epic in spades). -d

Well my main concern will be painting my figures - rule of cool typically dominates my hobby - so nothing new here. I have tried Infinity (I have a fully/mostly painted US Ariadna force). But I am thinking that perhaps it wasn't the right force to learn with. I have done some demo days at WOW of the game a few years ago - so I am rusty on things. I look forward to some good demo games - that's for sure. I have the ICESTORM box as well from a few years ago as well - so a basic PANo and Nomad (not painted) group as well. I'm looking to play and have fun and try to get regular games in to start with (over the next 4-6 months). After that ... just have some fun - and have another game that I can feel fairly confident with playing regularly. I will never be looking to play at a tourney level. Just having fun - painting, building terrain and playing when I can. -d p.s. I am off work at 4pm - and could meet up at glimpses by 4:30 easily most nights for some learning games. I live in Hubbard which is only about 25 minutes from glimpses (only takes me 20 minutes to get to work).

OK - New job in November is about 5-6 minutes from Glimpses ... I have been I a couple times on my lunch hour and looked at the Operation Wildfire box more than a few times. Yesterday I bit the bullet and got it. I was told that Infinity is played Thursdays starting @ 6. I will try to drop in next week to refresh myself with the game. A few years ago I picked up Icestorm and US Ariadna. I had played a few demos - but then just didn't get back into it - or played more 40k at the time. Then it wasn't convenient to play at WoW or a shop after work. But things have changed now - to trying to get back into a regular gaming thing. Any local meta I need to be aware of? expectations? new books or materials? -d

I just finished the new book "A Little Hatred" By Joe Abercrombie... was good - I am looking forward to the rest of this series which is yet to come. Very nicely done - and I enjoyed how things were put together - the world building and the rest. I hadn't read his other series - so I started "The Blade Itself" this week. -d
