  2. hmmm I am thinking "great harlequin" - from CE with lance bike and mantle as per typical.... shining spears... and 2 jet bike units... along with the harlequins maybe some WL's and possibly something from DE book :) - I will know more after the reality of the codex is in my hands lol... and all the plans change again
  3. last week guardian did not... not even rules. sorry :(
  4. Awesome. - I'm planning to get some of the figures - love the look. Any place have them local to pdx?
  5. IN - done - ordered :) ---- FYI - I was convinced by the local GW guy yesterday to trust him…and he got the order in… so I will do my best to continue to support the local store. -d
  6. … "open open open… open open… F'N OPEN… open "
  7. I'm not sure I trust the store - although I want to lol. Sorry I confuse others easily sometimes - lol
  8. That's what I've been doing - but the store doesn't get any benefit. - so was thinking about helping to support the local store :)
  9. hmmm like I said… I get into work at 5:30am… so I will just order it online… the GW store doesn't open till noon. So I will just have the GW page open and reloading all morning :D and order it there. thanks for the tips! -d
  10. luckily I get to work at 5:30 AM… I am not sure I will trust my order to the local GW store guys - whom keep begging me to order through them so the store gets some credit. A am really thinking I should stick with my gut and just order online...
  11. hmmm thinking I will be skipping the star weaver / voidweaver… I think I can convert those from a bunch of vipers I got on a trade awhile back. BUT - I think after 20 some years without a codex… i have to get that Troupe Masters edition… ugh… and those dice :) I can always pick up the painting guide later. But I think there is no way I can pass-up the nice nice harlequin book set. UGH
  12. shouldn't this one say…. something like…. "… meanwhile in Russia…" or some other country? hehehe pic...
  13. great…you said the name that shall not be said… …. turn back the clock guys… fluger said the name… <<deep sigh>>
  14. ok - now my wallet is crying… bleeding…
  15. hmmm now I am thinking I will be adding some checker/diamond patterns to my Phantom when I paint him
  16. HEY X!… miss yer mug! --- yes I can't wait to see what I come up with… in a drunken giddy stupor that which will be the next months before OFCC lol… I have plans - >>evil laugh…with my voice cracking<<… I have had plans for a year now for a harlequin/DE force. - I'm so happy that my luck turned out with a new codex at hand. When I get full view of the dex… I will know how it will all come together. -d
  17. i'll be in… but not playing - to busy at work and at home - BUT I am teaching my son some 40k - so I will drop by pick up some terrain I had there somewhere - in a box…lol. and to visit :) -d
  18. almost sounds like the paint didn't adhere well … did you wash the reaper figures before priming? Some plastics continue to "out-gas" or sometimes they have powders or fine residue on them from the molding process. I would give them a bath next time as a test… and see if things change. But I agree with westy… thinking surface tension or something messing with the primer's ability to grip onto the plastic. -if it were ink on plastic (printing industry)… I would say the base needs either heat treated / or electro-treatment to remove any static…. and to prep the substrate (the figure) for ink or paint. It all depends on the type of plastics they are made out of. I know printing on frisbees we would have to re-treat if the flyers sat in the warehouse to long - because they built up a charge that would literally pop the ink off after it dried lol. -d
  19. damn…. I was hoping for some kinda off the wall web way portal in a transport thing lol
  20. I d/l the rules..free online... it looks like a quick and easy game to learn and to teach newbie mini-gamers. Appears to be a true skirmish game to me. How would you describe it? I am thinking I will pick up a couple starters maybe (after I read through the rulebook)... something that will be fun to paint... and enough to dink around with. -d
  21. just looking at this game - stumbled onto a painted mini on-line and now I am checking out the esthetic - love it. Watched a quick demo online and it looks super simple lol. Anyhow - anyone play this local pdx area? -d
